I like GA and go to my weeklies for it. The game's getting really expensive though, some older cards haven't been reprinted so it costs like 30-40 usd a copy, with 4 needed in a deck. Shit's rough.

Lots of my GA locals are also FAB players. I guess we're just attracted to expensive games for no reason. Heard FAB staples are expensive as shit too from them. But I don't know if they reprint. GA has reprinted a good amount of cards but also let others from the 2nd set not get reprinted yet. A rare card in the 2nd set costs $30 usd per copy. Rare only man, not even SR or UR.
Apparently they're going to some world premier over in Canada next week for FAB.

Yeah, FAB is a lot more than that. And reprints are rare. A long time staple in nearly every deck - Command and Conquer - is still $70 each, and a playset is 3x. Equipment regularly breaks $100 but you generally only need one, at least.

Kaisa & Yi have been the entirety of the top 8 for all the regional events so far. And the large majority of top 16.

Hopefully Yi is getting overweighted by Chinese loving anything Chinese, and there will be more variety in the US. But I'm not super hopeful.

It's a bit fucked compared to how affordable it apparently used to be. I guess the further away we go from older sets that don't get reprints, the more expensive these cards get.

Digimon is getting a mobile sim at some point. I was in the closed beta and while fun it was rough. Tutorial didn't explain things well for a new player, UI was awful for how much goes on on the field , and I'm concerned we are going into solved metas over and over again. They are starting the game with the first few sets and not changing anything from the paper TCG; there also aren't very many sim exclusive new cards.

So far it's only good for two decks, so I wouldn't call it broken. Broken would have to be good for at least 4 decks and have a game breaking mechanic. This is just a seemingly good card.
We also don't really know yet if attack action cards will be the way to go for the reviled heroes. They might be weapon attack focused instead, especially Lyath.

NTA, but rotation was a "controversy" due to all the people new to tcgs. New meta is also looking a little boring, though it's starting to open up as people play with it a bit more - there's at least five tier 1/2 decks instead of the 2 people are doomsaying over. Product was also a little shorter supply and is being released in waves, likely to combat "boxes are at distro price within two weeks" that we saw last couple sets. I think it's also been prioritized to stores that run regular events, because my LGS got like 20 boxes of it and isn't huge but has 2 days a week that they run something.

Which one?
The first version is unplayable. The rules are barely functional and you start at 1000 life for some ungodly reason which makes the actual games take forever if you're playing with an "unoptimized" deck. There are some funny effects though and you can have a laugh reading at how stupid the cards are.

The second version is bland and not fun. It's a lane-based game where you compare two numbers in one of five lanes, and the card design is the blandest thing on the planet while the game itself lost all of the - dare I say it - soul of the original game.

Yes. But the discard isn't quite strong enough to give that much extra. I've used you're welcome on a 1-2 drop for the draw. Max goof is the MVP, being able to recur basically any of the songs is great. Tbh the expensive songs may be badly used spaces, but Under the ("duh") Sea is such a back breaker on aggro.

I'll probably build sapphire/emerald, ultimately. I don't enjoy amber/steel aggro so far, and I don't want to shell out for Dumbo.

Meant to add, I2i is at best basically a free turn with two new cards, at worst a draw 2+Powerline proc, and either way it's good when you use it. Pirates life is about as good.

I'll repeat, 6 drop max goof is the best card in the deck, followed by Clarabelle. He's worth shifting a 3 drop into, even. Recurring a song is just so good.

The most interesting game I played was the mirror, which led to both of us almost ignoring the life in favour of incremental advantage with pilot stat manipulation and blue commands. Playing against Wing depends completely on whether they draw early blockers or hit a base in life. Game needs to be best of three desperately unless Bandai wants to stamp aggro into the floor and let people jerk off with their control piles.

If it's aggro versus a slow deck like Wing or Unicorn, the games can be less than 5 minutes if both players know what they're doing. Slower games go around 20-30.
