Okay so I gotta clear shit up about the Guff thing. He didn't rewrite reality or whatever. I made this yeva deck using EDH rec, cards I remember from back in the day, and also other tappedout lists.

It was originally weaker. I was aiming for around 50-60 USD but it comes out to over 100 which is still alright I suppose. Here are some questions I have

I'm proxxying the sol ring cause it's ridiculous how impossible they are to get when you can own one copy and resleeve it every time you play a different deck. I don't even own a copy, just a rules card with a neon green sticky note on it. even after dozens of reprints people buy a new copy for each of their 15 decks. Meanwhile 14 of them are sitting in the deck box doing nothing at any given time. You can only play 1 deck at a time!!!

I have also chosen to not put in seedborn muse. It's expensive and seems too strong, almost unfun for everyone else. I'm afraid of the deck being too strong since Yeva is really strong and versatile. But I also fear that the one-dimensional strategy of mono green stomp can get kneecapped by designed-for-commander fuckery cards and control.

And pic rel seems super power crept, and I can tutor it to protect my creatures with my beast tracker too. I remember when kalonian tusker was first printed.

I started playing in 2015 and there was something people were looking for in those decks too, I had to go to like 3 lgs just to get an intro deck.

I am about to have my first game of mtg. It will be in the commander format and my opponent is going to use "slivers" with the quuen as his commander. I understand that slivers share their abilities among eachother. They say board wipes and specific single target destruction is best. My deck contains meathook massacre and toxic deluge. My (probably painfully noobish) question is: Will this be enough? Is there anything else for me to keep in mind?

Commander is a multiplayer game. Shill me a multiplayer commander. No group hug.

Depends if your deck, whatever it is, can develop its own plan fast enough and/or remove high-value targets reliably enough to not need board clears.
Board clears are generally something you play from behind, or when your deck focuses on a win condition that is not particularly harmed by sweeping the board, so you should only include more than a couple if your game plan revolves around them (or if your pod is just completely creature-happy).

Targeted removal likewise you want to be careful with including too much of, because in a 4-player game a card which destroys only 1 enemy card is inherently putting you behind in card advantage (you and another player lost out, but the other two players benefitted without spending anything), BUT not having at least 2-3 pieces is even worse because so often 1 card (especially in a singleton format) is the difference between someone totally popping off and winning the entire game.
Though if it's just you and your friend put as much single-target removal as you like in there it's nbd.

This (https://moxfield.com/decks/xFUo0OhHhEi29HrqV2OhPQ) is the deck. The plan is to generate artifacts to then transform into creatures. It doesn't really have a single win condition. Other than that it uses lots of cards interacting with artifacts and has some other token generation abilities.
As far as I can tell meathook and deluge are the only ones capable of boardwiping, but maybe I am overlooking something here. One final note is that he won't know what I'll be playing. (Though he has joked about viewing me as someone to play blue to piss people off.) I asked him to play his strongest deck first.

In any case I'd be happy to hear what anons here would do in my situation. (aside from kms) What cards from the sideboard would you use?

Ive been dissatisfied with my Zurgo list recently. It has done ok but I got kind of crushed by a couple zoomoids recently so Im reconsidering a lot of the list. Im at 92 cards cant decide on last 8 in Moxfield. I was sleeping on picrel for sure, I think I misread it before and thought this card itself had to attack to get the trigger. I had a lot of Mobilize triggers before (Thunders Decree, Dalkovan Packbeasts, Isshin)

I didnt quite like it because there were games where I couldnt safely attack to get the mobilize triggers and that resulted in me getting locked down.

Kambal is pretty good if you have a lot of different sources of token generation. He might go into my list but I'm not 100% sure since I haven't felt the need to change anything in it for months. Impact Tremors already does more work than him but redundancy is nice and passively getting stuff like treasures is very nice.

Thought Monitor is an amazing card for artifact decks
it's not hard to cast it for 3, 2 or even 1 mana, and a draw 2 for 2 mana with a 2/2 flyer into the bargain is totally sweet.
Also, fabricate and diabolic intent- tutors are always good because it's like having extra copies of a crucial card, making it much easier to execute your deck's best lines


I like the concept of your deck, sacrifice is cool and artifiacts are cool. Lotta fun cards in both archetypes, many of which you've included.
But, in general I think your artifacts deck has too few artifacts in it and your sacrifice/creature tokens deck doesn't have enough creature token generation in it in comparison to the number of sacrifice outlets, and there's too many ways in which the artifacts and sacrifice sides don't synergise. Fortunately for you, there's a lot of cards that make artifact creature tokens like hangarback walker, so get some more of those in there.

And you'll want more ramp, because ramp is usually great in commander, due to people being bad at threat analysis and prioritising people who have a mildly scary-looking board over the guy who's about to untap with 12 mana. Also because your commander lets you turn big mana into lots of cards, provided you have sacrifice outlets and token creature generation, and the latter also likes big mana. Get yourself a mind stone, maybe a gilded lotus and/or thran dynamo, etc.

Real, I'm not against UB or Spiderman, this set just doesn't look good. There are maybe a handful of single that I might be interested in putting in decks and even a smaller amount of art treatments that actually look good.

The Arena UW scramble seems almost more annoying to me cause maybe two or three cards have actually neat art that's going to be stuck in the Arena ghetto forever.

As much as I find Prof annoying, I happen to agree that the real problem with the set is that there's no real story to it. FF might have been diving through decades of plot, but major beats and characters mostly all covered. I can't really speak to the deck's specific card quality since Edgar Markov is medical grade ambien and I suck at evaluating tribal but good on you for playing the right amount of lands. Maybe consider some more of the Ixalan Orzhov vampires like Clav and Carmen. I'd also chuck the bad tutors into the trash if you're playing bracket 2 and play either bursty card draw spells or draw engines instead. Now that I'm looking at it you could use more draw in general. Clav, Preacher of the Schism, and Pact of the Serpent play well with the tribal theme and burst draw like Night's Whisper, Diresight, and Read the Bones are always pretty good and more reliable than the Village Rites clones. Black Market Connections is also free advantage.

Probably to not have an outsized amount of cards set there if there are going to be more sets like this, as there likely will be for future Marvel sets or other UB that they can't get digital rights to for whatever reason. This way they can come up with art and ideas from all over without being held down to a story or one particular plane. It's almost like core sets of yore, with cards from everywhere, made to blend in rather than be its own thing.

The same deck that shrugs and casts their Farseek when not on curve regardless, because ramp is ramp. Vehicles are often not particularly cheap to cast, and big creature good.
It's also the same cost to cast as a lot of ramp spells, and does much the same. Getting ramped again the next turn if you happen to have a pair of 2 power creatures you don't feel the desire to swing with is gravy on top and buffs its power further. And again the next turn if it survives, etc.
