Yeah, but right now their hordiness is out of control. Kabalites 10ppm, Wyches 8ppm. Also because this is a hobby that takes place in the real world and requires you to move real miniatures and also paint them imo most armies should have some value, point dump models with good points to € ratio so you can fill it out. Even two Talos are like 160 pts.

You can get handheld airbrush pumps that are designed for makeup artists to use.
I have one and it's great for priming or getting some base colours on but I wouldn't use it for any detail

To be honest if you are good with an airbrush you could probably use it well, I personally am kind of retarded and have no idea what I'm doing.
I got mine from amazon for £25 and it came with a shitty no-name single action airbrush that works well enough for me to get colours on

Huh, figures that GW would drop all the new Dark Eldar stuff on a random Monday when I'm insanely busy.

The two new kits are both pretty. Darn cool. I really like the options and the fact that the archon is kit bashable with the last 15 years of infantry model.

Malys's face is weirdly soft for a DE but other than that I kind of like the model. Feels like she's missing more flowing skirts or cloth of some kind though.

Codex cover art looks cool but I am not happy that 28 of my models are going to Legends soon alongside my Tantalus.

New pain token system sounds cool and I'm really interested to see how that plays out.

A "regiment", as in a particular regiment like "237th Cadian" is normally around a thousand men. A "regiment", as in the entirety of Cadians or the entirety of Catachans is obviously much larger.
Regiments also have different specializations that influence their number. An infantry regiment would have far more bodies in it than an artillery regiment.
Also, real world considerations like attrition and replenishment apply, so the headcount varies across time as well.

As much as I'd love to say votann, it's definitely more of an imperium gun. The only thing going for votann is the leather strap with bullet like on the yeagirs shotguns, but votann guns don't have the armored parts towards the front, and their shotguns are revolving. No bottom ammo magazine, clip, whatever it's called in this case.

I'm not opposed to the "turreted land raider" that is the repulsor. I think it's a fun idea to trade some transport capacity for firepower, that was kinda the point of the crusader on the other side of the spectrum.

What I don't like about the repulsor, like most people who take issue with it, is how many guns it has sticking out.

It can be salvaged. The impulsor/gladiator I think there's a whole lot more work needed.

My biggest gripe with the repulsor stems from a bigger problem with 40k as a whole, which is the range 1000" instant-death gun. Every game I've played against it has been an extremely unfun game of keep-away with it since my armies have nothing that can even come close to the ranged firepower it can put out so in forced to try and melee it or simply ignore a single model that can wipe entire units in a single turn.

I got a really cool piece of foam from an air conditioner I bought that looks like a big boxy industrial structure. Specifically a water treatment facility.

How can I cover the foam with a surface ready for painting? Do I just prime it and apply some type of concrete texture paint? Then I can 3D print or hand make some greebles like water drainage, doors and vents and stick it where it makes sense.

For the top I want to fill it with epoxy resign mixed with green dye to make it looks like gross polluted water.

Gross polluted water would be absolutely impossible to see through, while if you make it gross polluted water that's arbitrarily transparent enough it won't read like a scaled down massive body of water.
The good use of that empty space together with clear resin is to put some eye catching thing in there, like an archeotech reactor (where you can play with neon lights too) and/or some monster being kept in suspended animation in the liquid for study.

Otherwise I'd just tell you to flip the box over, no real need for a sci fi water plan to have an open roof, a closed roof adds playable ground for flying troops, and you can convey the purpose of the facility with various simpler tubes or portholes or signs.
