I have some RTB01 marines and a character or two from that era but I prefer models from 2nd edition
I found the metal model of the orc shaman from fantasy. I thought it was cool so I bought it. This was before The Old World resurgence. I’m new to Warhammer. Just been soaking in the lore and trying to learn the game since the middle of 9th Ed. I’ve wanted a Drukhari army but never bought it because I didn’t want to spend all that money and possibly have my army deleted or all my models outdated and not right size etc.
Does anyone have any ideas on what will last over the next couple of years? I like the idea of buying a battleforce box and a combat patrol, but I don’t want to buy things that will get squatted. Would it be wiser to buy it one box at a time and not have a pile of shame?

Thinking about starting a chaos knight army and would expect to take roughly 1.5 years to finish it (already have an iron warriors army and have other hobbies/responsibilities). What are the odds dark mechanicus comes out in that time since I'd rather have a dark mech army.
