I'm not sure of it. He mentioned a few times that the starting power level is vastly lower than Entropist and that he thinks it'll be less popular because of that. I'm looking forward to the opposition the most. Dozens of distinct troop types and bosses to battle, and maps to give them context.

It's a ridiculously ambitious CYOA so I'm not too worried yet. EA said it might release this year the last time he was in the thread. Who knows? It could be tomorrow, could be new year's, could be six months into 2026, could be never. All we can do is bide our time. Tankista crafted the CYOA so that everything's laced with double meanings, edge cases, and subtle implications, so that in terms of density, rather than a 20 page CYOA with 60 pages of lore, it is effectively a 100 page CYOA with 300 pages of lore. If we assume it takes autists one day to comb through a single page, two pages on the weekends, we've got at least another eight months of circlejerking to go. Unless EntropistAnon shows up with a bunkerbuster of a CYOA and entraps the aesthetic vibesfan, lore-fixated autist, and edgy powermonger trifecta all over again.

Dobrava resolves encounters before you even meet her. However, you can use Never Alone on Dobrava, theoretically resolving these encounters before you are even sentient/aware.
I use this fact to kill Nilmatrix, open a portal from Chernovolin to the capital of the Ecumene, and start a civil war in the Exarchate.

I spawn in Chernovolin, with full untimeskipped teachings from Eirina and Feodwra. I would like to use Feodwras magic to artificially age my body to 14 or 15 years old, doing the opposite of what Nezvana did. Of course, I have with me One, Keter, Eirina, Feodwra, Baf, Ota, Dobrava, and Savmak. This team should easily be able to break into the tomb and take Aat/Erginter's corpse, allowing Baf to fuse with it. Baf then uses Erginter's gift eating ability to take all of Savmak's relevant gifts. It shouldn't be necessary, but maybe we go around collecting some more gifts.

We then take the portal to the Ecumene. I can use my dragon form to fly the team around, if necessary. Baf steamrolls everyone there aside from 0^0 herself. Baf, Keter, One, Eirina, and Feodwra will hold 0^0 off while I try to flank her with Ota. Considering Mao's success against 0^0 with just daemonhost, Baf + team should be more than strong enough to do this.
I am hoping that Death of the Author gives me just enough of an edge to get Ota into position.

Primarily, I will disguist Ota among Baf’s summoned Majin, then use numerology to create moving moving lights. I will then try to remember where Ota's shadow has been cast, and in the instant that 0^0 enters that space, rewind Ota to that position. Once Charlie is in Ota's shadow, we have won.

You could do this in less than a day if you played it well.

Now, reasonably, encounters shouldn't work this way. A 3 year old Dobrava shouldn't be able to kill Nilmatrix. But even if you remove the Never Alone cheese, you should be able to kill 0^0 before One disappears using a similar strategy

There are instructions written in godscript on the old throne. Get the missing piece one way or another then interpret and follow the instructions, is the straightforward in-universe explanation.

As for what those instructions might be -- it's pretty clear that Vtorusha's argument against the True Dragons also applied to her (she had True Dragon Solipsism), and as a result the same argument that defeated the True Dragon amalgamation and caused true dragons to be unable to reproduce trapped her in her logic error. Escaping that logic error requires the world match the conditions of the old throne's creation, a worldwide war between heaven and earth. You'd then presumably need to either refute the argument, or argue that her own doesn't apply to Vtorusha specifically for one reason or another.

You can assume that her argument was against solipsism, and there are plenty of those in the real world to draw inspiration of. My personal favorite -- Solipsism argues that, since it's impossible to know whether other people are real or NPCs, you should skeptically assume that only you are real. But taking that skepticism a step further, you can't assume that the you of the past is real -- you are not currently experiencing your past, it is a memory, and memories can be false. You also can't assume that the you in the future will be real. The only you that you can assume is real is the you of the present. Reproduction becomes impossible because it requires a belief in the future. Vtorusha becomes trapped in dream/runaway fiction by her death letter, and she cannot escape because escaping the dream requires a belief that reality is more real than the dream she is currently experiencing.

Personally? She inheirited the gift from her mother but was never actually a solipsist, and her actions prove that. She could have escaped the consequences of her argument by accepting this about herself (thereby sacrificing her True Dragon Solipsism), but she powerfagged the best immortality option available to her at character creation and didn't think about the consequences of that decision until it was too late. The argument to free her is just pointing out that her actions prior to the dream battle were never consistent with an honest belief in solipsism, so her argument should never have actually applied to her.

So later on, they made a power DLC with custom drawbacks, and he gave both of them Aches and Pains (self-explanatory) and Manton Unlimited (pic related) to bring back to his tastes, so they instalosed to anybody with certain powers and were also DESTINED FOR ETERNAL TORMENT BECAUSE HE BUILT THEM FOR IMMORTALITY.

I think there should be a way to resolve this by generating a sort of social second-strike capability, to borrow terminology from MAD. Like, imagine we start on islands, unable to approach each other safely but able to communicate by some means (megaphone, smoke signals, whatever). Two parties who agree to approach each other peacefully could trust each other if there are a handful of third-parties outside the radius who is capable of and committed to killing an aggressor who breaks their word. About Dark Overlord, outside of greater stability over conquered populations, are there any strategic upsides to the Dreadlord specialty? The world is religious and know their goddesses are real, and religion gets stronger in a time of crisis. I think spreading fear and terror might just increase the masses' faith in the goddesses' power out of desperation, instead of coercing them to submit. In effect, Dreadlord gets cowards to surrender and makes the brave fight harder than they otherwise would have.

One possible synergy I noticed is the Reaper boon. It grants some Dark Essence when an enemy is killed in proportion to how much you assisted. If a Dreadlord is terrifying, that would damage the enemy's morale and result in a small gain from every one of the fallen from any battle the Dreadlord happens to be at. That adds up. It would likely be a decent trickle if you were consistently routing enemy forces, but if you are, the fearsome reputation will inspire those heroic sorts. Then again, if you're strong enough to back your aura, I suppose that's nothing but gain? There's likely some synergy in Monument Builder as well, making dreadful statues and so on. I like Dreadlord but notice no builds opted to take it, which is fascinating to me. Of the Tyrants, it's got to be my favourite.

I wanted a Humilitas build that didn’t mooch off the effort of other Outsiders in the Outer Tide and ended up with this. Picked Erl (even if it just gave me agelessness and nothing else) just because I like their horns. I thought the build would be casual and comfy but it ended up rather serious with tons of YMRDery.

I’ll let Dobrava do the heavy lifting of unifying Doria against 0^0 while I take it easy learning the world’s lore and developing a Kilyn pun to kill 0^0. Once 0^0 and Rhucuphre are dead I’ll finally be able to dump the books and enjoy myself travelling the world for a few decades until the 12th arrives. No matter what kind of person is chosen to be the 12th I should be able to work with them or eliminate them thanks to Geminara’s warning.

All in all I’ll only be able to live the Humilitas life for a few decades to a century at most due to the narratives and Dobrava will probably be remembered in history as the 11th Outsider instead of me but I’ll be satisfied with that. I’ll get to travel the world and learn all the lore I want, it’s a fine life.

That's just an example of one possible patch, for one possible unlock condition. The cosmic rules of Outer Reincarnation are dynamic and adaptive, and highly responsive to hard work, chance, and what makes a good story. . .and thus hackable.

Remember, Charlie's trying to impose hard causality on the setting. It's not the default, so a bold enough attempt should work. At least as long as it doesn't also accidentally delete gravity or something equally catastrophic, why wouldn't it?
