i suddenly have an good idea
which tabletop company i should tell it, whos gonna take me seriously.
Anonymous No.96567867 [Report]
There are thousands, maybe tens thousands of people who have had the exact same idea since before you were even born, and if nobody has ever done it by now, it's because the idea is shit

You need to do it yourself. No company will take you seriously unless they already know you and that only happens in two ways, you're in their friends and family circles or you did something they think is worth paying attention to.

Why would you wanna do that? If it's a good one, they're gonna steal it without giving you any credit or compensation. Because let's face it you probably have neither legal knowledge nor the budget to defend your own intellectual property.

What if bards were much more useful
Like they can play different types of music, battle themed for buffs like stronger attacks or defense, calm songs for healing and etc
Armies have bards too, entire orchestras which can battle each other by playing louder
They have bodyguards or protective spell which stops enemy soldiers from just killing them

Neat, Mabinogi style bards. Write it up as a splat for 5e players and charge a buck for it or something

sounds like Fire Emblem with Dancers and shit.

And realistically bards and entertainers would have been important, depending on the era/region, because moving an army could be like moving an actual city. You have to have supply lines and stuff to actually feed the people with spears, and the people with spears get paid, and bards money, so they would follow people who have it.

If I've learned anything in the last five years, it's to never tell /tg/ any idea you have and instead just go for it so they can complain about it when it's officially published

Here's a better idea.
A horny wizard sneaks off into his academy's library to find the forbidden porn.
It's dark. All he has is a candle because the sentries would detect magic that creates light.
His mission is going nowhere, he can't find the archives...but he notices his melted candle is kind of curvy. Wax dripping down the sides, real hot stuff.
He has to give up, but he brings the candle back to his chamber and, looking at it intently and in that state of mind... well, with his magic animates it, making it come to life as a little cutie girl candle.
