I'll go Corsairs. They have some "there there" but not much. Meanwhile Harlys' have an okay-sized army listing and exodites simply don't exist at all. I think it'd be good to expand on what's already there before introducing the Exo's.

Harlequins are so close to being a proper army. They need one more Troop option, elf roadies or something, a mounted character, and some kind of centerpiece. I know Wraith stuff doesn't make sense for them, but something along those lines. Maybe a giant puppet like you see at fairs and stuff? Like a big recreation of one of the Eldar gods. From a distance it looks like an Avatar but when you get close you can see the elfs inside operating it.

I'm also trying to find a way to take out a few points for another 3x Paragon Warsuits. But that's your project. Find the units you're least married to to release 210 points.

Overall I think you're doing pretty good. I just think you're underappreciating some of the buffs and big-hitters the Sisters have.

Orks are very fun. I always felt a kinship with the other Xenos players because I just love all the Xenos factions, it's been hard to only stick with Eldar. If I ever fall into a bunch of money, like "pay off all my shit and just fuck around" money, I'd just start two 2000pt armies for each Xeno faction, save maybe Leagues of Votann but that's only because they don't have enough variety to justify two armies.

I don't hate the Marines, and I know that if I had a Marine army it'd be Dark Angels, but it's kinda hard to root for the guy everyone roots for anyway. The game's more fun when everyone has someone else to compete with, and since I'll never run out of Space Marine players I don't want to deprive them an opponent if that makes sense. What would happen if the experienced marines sent to lead a new chapter had something bad happen to them en route? Ambushed by Chaos, killed by a surprise Corsair strike, that sort of thing. Total grimdark slaughter.

Would the existing chapter send more seconds, would the new chapter just be left to figure it out themselves, or would a group of marines that didnt share the same genetic heritage be requested as emergency measures from whatever chapter happened to be nearby?

There's a shop in Cambridge that used to have a good community, but it's grown much smaller.

Get some good, modeling branded masking tape like Tamiya or Mr hobby(you can use traditional masking tape, just stick it to a towel and remove it and repeat a few times so it's not overly sticky) stick it down, slice off the excess and then start priming and painting. Once you're done I'd suggest hitting everything with a light coat of varnish(you need to do this before removing your masking, otherwise you will fuck up the finish on your transparent parts), and then peel your masks

Try kill team to get your feet wet. It has a significantly lower barrier to entry and virtually every kill team boxset has an equivalent data sheet in whatever army you'd like to play.

Otherwise, just pick up a single box of infantry for your desired army and put it together and try to paint it. It isn't hard and even that isn't expensive.

Cover of the old Tzeentch Quest had a Chaos barbarian and a Stormcast teaming up, which already is a conversation starter, as well as never before seen Tzeentch creatures (bird Tzaangors, Gaunt Summoner, Ogroid).
Nurgle one has 3 melee humans fighting against alt-sculpts of old Nurgle units (regular goat pestigors again, blightkings again, sorcerer again after getting refreshed last edition).
The muscular plagebearers and dwarf scaut are the only things that feel new-ish

I'm averaging 1 shot getting through. Even if I average my 3.5 wounds, and get a kill I've killed a single terminator.

I average 5.5 shots into you due to blast to start.
Again, 3's to hit, 3's to wound.
4+ invuln again takes us to between 1-2 shots getting through on average.
And hopefully I don't get hot.

IF I can shoot both these weapons into you for 2 straight turns (which is unlikely to happen) I MAY be able to knock the squad out. And have wasted a massive amount of my high strength firepower into 4+ invulns
Bearing in mind you're practically guaranteed to be deepstriking these in on my turn 9" away from my guys so you only have to withstand a single shooting phase, you then get to plant your stinky fat ass onto an objective which I need to dislodge.
At 1k points, its pretty cancerous. Especially with Morty coming up the board demanding those high S shots go into HIM.

You ALSO have a great weapon spread
You ALSO have deepstrike
You ALSO have a servicable melee profile

At 1k points, it;s a genuinely dire thing to come up against. 'But it's 1/3rd of my army' doesnt stop it being tryhardy as fuck and practically unanswerable unless some BIGGER dickhead brought a knight with them.

I mean this is only true if you aren't bringing any of your heavy hitting stuff.
You're also severely overestimating how killy Blightlords are, Deathshrouds will of course obliterate anything they come into contact with but Blightlords have some decent anti infantry shooting and then can melee decently stuff that is T6 or lower. They're actually pretty easy to tarpit, they have 3 attacks a piece.
A retributor squad is once again 105 points! Of course it's not gonna wipe out a bunch of terminators in one shooting phase, you need to focus fire them. I'm not familiar with Guard, but for Nids I can tell you that Exocrines are excellent at picking up Blightlords, and for Sororitas Castigators will do a similar job because if there's something Blightlords are afraid of is flat 3 damage.

I mean these guys cost 300 points and it's an army known for durability. You can't just expect to be able to point 5 intercessors at them and kill them outright, that also would not be fun whatsoever for DG. But their output is really nothing out of the ordinary and they will die if you shoot at them. In 1k games you can always have one or two vehicles or just generally some higher strength shooting, it's not like we're talking about 500 point Knights here, Exocrines are 140 points, castigators are 160. There are answers to this stuff.
