Welcome to Warhammer Quest: Dark Water
Welcome to Warhammer Quest: Dark Water.
In this beer-and-pretzel adventure you control a handful of iconic heroes that wander the realm of Ghyran. This will be, for many casual players, their first taste the world of Age of Sigmar. Let's meet the poster boys.
...In particular, the guy in the helmet is the heavily armored tank that will be at the forefront in this introductory Age of Sigmar adventure, his name is Edmark Valoran, The Manticore Knight.

Now here's the question:

why is he not a Stormcast?
Is something changing at GW?
Anonymous No.96753429
the last quest didnt feature a stormcast retard. I dont think blackstone even featured any loyalist marines either.
Anonymous No.96753453 >>96753484
I dont like Stormcasts, im tired of Stormcasts. Im very happy no Stormcasts here
Anonymous No.96753484
>>96753453
people never liked Stormcasts, that's not news - the news is Games Workshop not liking Stormcasts

It's nothing. Cursed city had 8 heroes in the main box, none of them were stormcast eternals. There aren't marines in Necromunda either, do you think GW secretly hates marines?

Im more interested in the big flaming hero (looks like a Firebelly), the druid, the kurnothi centaur and any other hero they have (if there is another one)

>named characters
>prewritten story
why do the game designers keep doing this? the entire appeal of heroquest was making your own dungeons and characters to form your own story. It was a creative game that introduced young fantasy fans to roleplaying games through the lens of a familiar board game format. This nu-shit is just a miniature bundle set for sigmarfags to buy, the game doesn't even matter

SHOW MODEL

No model reveal yet, but we have full-body art of the heroes

The thing im more curious about this new Warhammer Quest is the map. No tiles like before, just one big boardgame or book with many.
I wonder how we are gonna play it (maybe like choose your own adventure??), and why GW changed the tiles for this.

OR hear me here you can totally ignore the lore and just consider the dwarf a dwarf and call him whatever you want. Jimmy Workshop won't kneecap you for It.

Thad trade marked names isnโ€™t the issue heโ€™s having.
Anonymous No.96754447
Even Cursed City had the steampunk dwarf instead of a normie dwarf
Anonymous No.96754538
>>96754362
Cursed city had a fuck ton of production issues that really hampered the whole thing. Maybe they're trying to keep the box as 'simple' as possible, productionwise.
Anonymous No.96755351
Some people are saying this is more like HeroQuest than WarhammerQuest. Im not really sure (its just 1 big room instead for hallways and many rooms), but i think we must wait and see.
Do you think they will change a lot of rules since Cursed City?
Anonymous No.96756110 >>96757353
I voted for the Manticore Knight. What did you votet?

There's a marine in necromunda.
Anonymous No.96757044
For now, the box looks like have 48 minis:

-8 Tentacles
-1 Main Big Evil Fatman
-1- Evil Wizard Fatman
-2 big Plaguebearers
-4 New Blightkings
-9 Pestigors (1 shaman)
-16 scrawny guys
-7 heroes (plus a familiar)

Its clearly set in Warhammer: the Old World, not Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. There's no Stormcast Eternals because Sigmar hasn't created them yet.

>Negress wizard
>homeley generic female fighter of sorts
>Some weak looking dwarf
>Madicore knight- yes mandicores are good now.
At least there's no wheelchair Warrior

I donโ€™t get it either
Every single dungeon crawling board game does this.
Every single one.
Thatโ€™s why I just fucked off to five leagues.
Itโ€™s not a one box boardgame but at least it doesnโ€™t want me to care about Bent Overaxe the Cockgobblerer

It's a menlet edition, so GW will rig it for the dwarf. So i can at least say i voted for him

The "negress wizard" is barely darker than a Swede, she's lighter than Esmeralda from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. A French woman can look like that after one month vacationing in Sicily

Yeh, Odd World, famous for its Maggotkin of Nurgle army
Anonymous No.96757486
>>96757474
well I mean, Nurgle is Nurgle, even if they now field "Sloppity Poxmunchers" or "Feveroid Plaguewardens" they don't look that much different from the old Blight Kings and Glottkin, they were just enriched by AoS naming culture

You don't need to go with the same.
Also Soulbound exists and they had a Cursed City supplement where each character in CC was given as Archetypes.

I hope they show enemy miniatures with the winner of today. Or maybe one of the other heroes outside the votation

I wonder if they'll drip feed the other 6 guys or show them all together next week

The Manticore Knight looks great. I was a bit scared because the art doesnt feel very CoS and felt more like Bretonia, but i think the miniature hit the spot.
Anonymous No.96760376
>>96759368
when i saw the firsts images i genuely thought it was old world with a damisel and a bretonnian knight
its not a bad sculpt, but i think it could ahve been way better, i like the shield and helmet, but the cape is too stiff

>>96757424
esmeralda from the hunchback of notredame was an indian gipsy, not a french girl, not even in morocco or egypt they have skin as dark as that sorceress
Anonymous No.96762803 >>96766610

you cant even be racist right, what good even are you? that's obviously an indian woman
Anonymous No.96766610
>>96762803
thats absolutelly wrong, a racist wouldn't care if a nonWhite is from congo or from bengali, both are undeveloped species of humans
its like not caring if an elephant is an african elephant (Loxodonta africana) or an asian elephant (Elephas maximus), both are elephants
