I actually like Helsmiths of Hashut. Yes I do wish there were certain aesthetic aspects of Chaos Dwarfs they used instead of trying to be original but overall they're fine. I do think the winged bull and artillery models aren't that great though.

This seems to be a very common pattern among warhammer fans specifically. Once something is gone suddenly there's all these people coming out of the woodworks to say they always liked x and its a shame how gw removed them. Even secondaries are susceptible to this, as evidenced by total war players clamoring that skaven or lizardmen or xyz won't be a complete army until they get some obscure conversions shown off once in a white dwarf in 1992 or whatever the fuck. There's a lot of options for doing rust that I've seen in my prep for working on some Death models. The big one is Dirty Down Rust, which seems to be a general favorite among a lot of people. Otherwise you can just use various browns and oranges to do various rust colors. Typhus Corrosion or another texture-based paint for adding texture to your rust.

you've got a 10 man squad of single wound infantry, a 5 wound combat foot hero who's not a wizard or priest, and then the dominator engine and warmachine which are both kinda small. for $200

90% of stormcast squatted models are perfect proxies for other shit.
Like yeah the sacrosanct dude with a hammer and a shield looks different from the modern guys with hammers and shields, but it's still a stormcast with a hammer and shield. There's a few exceptions like the ballista of course, but on the whole their squatting wasn't as catastrophic as you might think at first glance.
The bigger issue here is that gw keeps putting stormcast in starter sets, so there's going to be a cull every 6 years or so. They really should just experiment with other factions in the starter sets. Although it looks like they're doing exactly that with the rumoured skaven vs cos spearhead starter.
