I feel like if the gates are open for even the slightest amount of risque/cheesecake in 40K proper, it would actually help blunt the ever-growing avalanche of off-model coomershit "art" that is being peddled and pushed nowadays. If anything it would work as a distaff to reinforce the setting as being fairly "sanitized" but realistically depicting attraction and reproduction. We don't really see much of civilian life for any of the factions except in snippets of fluff and some small pieces of artwork. I'm not saying that the whole setting needs to make a course correction, but it would help these "new fans" actually find common ground within the setting itself instead of making up a bunch of non-canon stuff that doesn't even fit 40K.

Desolators being replaced by Gigaultrabliterators instead would probably be an upgrade. The new Primaris kits are a lot more creative and better than that era of primaris junk.

The new Dark Angels, Space Wolves, Deathwatch all had much better weapon selections (and better models generally, but the DW heads are pretty cursed and the Blood Angels were... yea) and didn't have as bad a focus on the ugly weapons.

The new primaris releases seem to be focusing on more classic weapons like multimeltas and plasmas. Even if they give it goofball names these weapons are a lot more grounded.

I wouldnt be surprised if Primaris gets an AoS style sigmarites squatting that cleans up a lot the goofiest kits like the ATV or some of their more ridiculous weapons because I guarantee you they dont sell well for two reasons: 1 they keep the rules not very good so they clearly arent trying to sell them and 2: I very rarely see them at tables

I think at least half of them will get an update. Defilers might die, the 6-7e era plastics probably just stay, and all the rest gets something new. I think all the rhino chassis stuff will get Castigator style treatments. It'll be entirely divorced from the ancient rhino base kit.

Not sure exactly since I used my two bloodthirsters and skarbrand as distraction carnifexes while my bloodletters and dogs focused on scoring. I know they killed a bunch of crusaders, bladeguard, helbrecht and an executioner as my opponent slowly chewed through them. Two of them exploded as they died which did a tonne of damage and forced my opponent to change his strategy in my favour.

I made the mistake of not focusing on the Purifiers, I had an Aberrant unit that I could have rapid ingressed with but made a HUGE misplay trying to take down my opponent's Nemesis Dreadknight. I drew Bring it Down and Area Denial and the Dreadknight was at the center but it proved too tough, killing the Purifier Squad would have won me the game in the long-run as my opponent would be forced to do actions with a dreadknight and a rhino only.
