Thoughts on giving Link to Plug-ins (and potentially other options)?
Anonymous No.96902992 [Report] >>96903052
I have a question about the new plug-in. When you link it does it give jamming as well or just the DP bonus and Jamming is an inherit you only get if you're somehow able to add it to the stack normally?

>Thoughts on giving Link to Plug-ins (and potentially other options)?
On one hand, effects that last more than one turn is nice. On the other hand, the link limit means only one plug-in can be active per Digimon.
If they're giving link to other options, then equipment type cards would be cool.

It does feel like they could be testing the waters for that kind of card. Although I have no idea how equipment would fit in with digimon lore or if that even matters. Plug-ins are kind of funny since it's cards buffing the digimon like in tamers which was them using trading cards to power up their digimon so we're doing the exact same thing

4 Memory Boost, 4 Training, 4 Scramble, 1 evo plugin and like 2-3 other plugins. Problem is, none of these Options interact with the new support like they do with the currently used cards, so either the new support isn't going to see any play or the whole thing is going to need to get reworked.

The original 3rd place Worlds list from March (not actually the original, but it's the list that actually really brought attention to the fact that real Sakuya was a good deck) ran pretty much the same ratios except it ran 2 less Memory Boosts for 2 more evo plugins.
Anonymous No.96903842 [Report]
>>96903544
The current sakuya is/was broken because it can play generic options ie boosts, trainings, and scrambles, for free.
If you pay 3 to evo and get to play a memory boost, then attack and get to play a training, then you training to pass turn, what do you think happens next turn?
your stack gets wiped but you just got free resources and a bunch of search to find every piece you could want, you abuse those free resources with scrambles to get a free evo or two (evo > play free option > scramble > evo again for -3 > attack > play free option > scramble > evo for -3. oops u went from lvl 4 to 7 for only 2 memory).
some cards got hit and pair banned, so its less egregious, but the advanced starter deck is trait locking what you can play, so there will be no more abusing generic options for free.

many decks even run more boost options (using the amber memory boost) instead of even bothering with any plug ins or tamers, because again, you can further abuse free resources and build a stack effectively free every turn after the first because you get your memory refund next turn by evoing up, so if your stack ever doesn't get immediately removed, you get even more free and pretty much immediately win the game.

the problem is that since sakuya is changing you might as well wait until the new starter deck releases and then figure out from there than try to play it right now, but if you really want to, maximize your generic options and abuse them in this fashion to win.

Anonymous No.96904270 [Report] >>96904330
>>96904254
I do not see how etemon would be useful for omnimon
date's effect at least works with the deck but I don't think the extra setup is worth it since you already need nokia and can just hardplay a rookie if you had nothing in breeding, and if you did date is worthless. its just too niche to be worth giving a slot.

unless you mean some other deck, I really don't understand why the etemon would be even functional in the deck
Anonymous No.96904330 [Report] >>96904390
>>96904270
It's the version of the deck that uses Ami's toolbox rather than the Hand effects that require Nokia.
Etemon can play 3-cost CS cards so can play more Mirei out
Date tags out when you digivolve so you can use her before activating the When Digivolving of Warg/Melga or RizeGreymon and still get the warp or tamer when you otherwise wouldn't
Anonymous No.96904390 [Report] >>96905163
>>96904330
so you are suggesting you build an entire stack, hard evo into wargrey or melga, using a tamer to play out another rookie to warp them then jogress?
this just seems like such a more roundabout way instead of using the warp, you still need to find date otherwise you are needing another rookie, like its just not more consistent unless you have way more memory from what I can tell.

I just don't understand why you would do this.

Requires you have a Tamer or any black Digimon
If you choose to link the card at no cost, the Digimon with the linked card gets Blocker and +2000DP as long as the card is linked.
Then, regardless of whether you linked, any of your Digimon gets +3000DP and Reboot until your opponent's turn ends.

I think the 5k DP boost you get between the effect and the Link is alright, it puts you out of range of dying to the vast majority of things in Security. You do have Barrier to do that too but this way you don't have to burn your own Security. The Jamming plugin is better for that but this lets you better survive the crack back or tangle with a non-Blocker blocker that doesn't need to suspend to redirect attacks, something like DM Vademon's inherit.

I still want to see the last of the Options but this one seems playable.

Gomamon -> Dolphmon/Ikkakumon -> Zudomon -> MarineAngemon
The .5 version (which from memory were released to feature more Adventure Digimon) replaced MarineAngemon with Plesiomon
Vikemon then came on a bunch of things in 2000 as a Shakkoumon mega that often (but not always) involved Zudomon.
Various media then used either/or/both as the ultimate.
Tri then formally replaced Joe's Plesiomon with Vikemon 2016, which he had again in Adventure 2020

Remember that the meaning of <Delay> is literally "By trashing this card in your battle area, activate the effect below."
When a <Delay> is used, two effects are triggered simultaneously
- Mine: whatever the effect on the card is
- Yours: 1 of your opponent's Digimon can't digivolve or attack players until their turn ends.
Whoever's turn it is will happen first.
In your example of a Training being used, it's my turn, so the Digivolution happens and any effects triggered by that Digivolution happen first. If Justimon is still around at the end of that, your effect activates.

After reading your post we have decided to plan for further Gallantmon support. Have a nice day.

It still doesnt protect vs the 2 best forms of removal in de-digi and dp neg. You can also just play/promote a small body so that gets hit by the tuck in security instead.

the lowest DP thing is in synergy with the -9k DP effect of the protection when u try to remove sakuya
so if you want to remove the stack in a way that triggers the protection you need two extra bodies

Newbie here, how is the game flow of the game?
I know that the game is faster than it was in the beggining, but what is the common start of the game?
Do people build their boss monster before taking swings at the security, or do they make checks as soon as possible?
How fast do you rebuild your boss if they are removed?
Do they make various copies?
Not specific archetypes.
Anonymous No.96927700 [Report] >>96927791 >>96927828
>>96927627
all of this is archetype specific is the problem though.
some archetypes are about slamming guys who go in, others are about board control and don't attack until they are going to kill, yes some wait until they build their boss before they do anything, it really depends.

if we ignore a significant portion of the decks and just focus on stack decks, you can generally break them down into a few categories.
the otk focused ones, who basically try to accumulate resources and pieces until they can push out from raising, dump everything, and try to kill you in a single go. obviously with varying degrees of success based on board state and risks that need to be taken.
then you have the more board control focused stack decks where they often build on board and are trying to keep your opponent off the board while they slowly get rid of security through this (or just build a big enough of a board to kill you in a single overwhelming push) and try to have a second stack ready to go in the back in case this doesn't work out.
and the third would be what I call "efficiency" decks where they can very quickly and efficiently climb up to their boss monster, usually who has a good impact on the board or trashes some security, normally being very fragile, but they can continue to do this turn after turn after turn until eventually one sticks, or you die, or whatever be it.

DNA decks generally a mix of the play on board & efficiency style.
and most stack decks that fall into these categories are somewhere in the realm of mid range to comboish. as well as decks that often play out a lot of guys as they climb (often from one of their boss monsters) and are usually looking to build wide resilient boards with a variety of top ends until they can go into their "true" boss monster or until they establish board control with multiple stacks and play like a wider version of a board control focused stack deck.

the answer to your questions are pretty much "its archetype specific"
Anonymous No.96927719 [Report] >>96927791 >>96927828

so apart from what I said in >>96927627 , it can be kind of difficult to grasp what you should be doing and how the game should progress when you are new.
I would recommend having someone play some games and explain it to you, or watching someone do that online. Card protagonist used to be pretty great for this, they would do scripted matches showing off decks, going over the play style, explaining what the cards do and why, giving a pretty good overview to the pace of the game, but they haven't posted for a while now so if you want to see their stuff it will be a lot more outdated on the decks shown.

its a very granular game where you cannot easily separate different decks into clean categories and you need a good understanding of that individual archetype and what it does to know what is important for them and what they are looking to do.

Second this anon, >>96927700 >>96927719. It really does vary that much. Try the demo if you haven't, but know the game is quicker and more consistent than crashing 2 starter decks into each other. If you enjoy it, most meta decks cost less than $100USD if you don't buy any AAs. There's also a fan-made digital client, but it's poorly made and some cards don't work how they are supposed to

Anonymous No.96927983 [Report] >>96928063
>>96927941
depends on what playstyle you like.
gallantmon is stronger right now, one of the strongest (if not the strongest) decks right now.
it is a protagonist deck so it will fairly often get support

RK isn't weak by any means, and will always get a lot of consistent support because of how many different digimon it can use and how often support for other decks gets used by RK.
but it also has a very polarizing playstyle and even when its the best deck it has a very clear weakness (can't reduce playcost floodgates) that people will tech in so it will not be that dominant.

This 'when moving' shit is cancer, there should be a trade off between evolving in the breeding area or getting your effects. Not saying this card in particular but if this is the new design trend to expect in the future then this game is fucked.

this is the same as the promo landramon where it is when digivolving + start of main.
the when moving replacing the start of main is a good thing in many cases, it being more flexible for lvl 3's with the scramble instead of just having one or the other so they don't double dip gets fixed by this to make the cards more reasonable.

the kyubimon is just another version of the landramon so I don't really think its a big deal.

Jetsilphymon with Zephyrmon in the stack with Dimension Scissors is such a good combo in theory but it's absolutely peak winmore. honestly it has just been happening a lot with these "on moving" cards being revealed, at least from the people I see online.
the renamon had a lot of people losing their minds over how much better it is... when it works exactly the same as existing ones with the on play or start of main, it isn't even necessarily better since you can trigger the start of main multiple times if your opponent cannot remove it, but on move is just once.

kyubimon is worse than promo landramon, but not by much.
gain memory when your opponent attacks, just 1? and you need a tamer to do that? as well as setup in the back?
you are effectively describing the bt4 kari gaining a memory after your opponent checks a security, it really is not as big of a deal as you are describing. +1 memory start of main with X condition is a super common effect on rookies and an on moving version of it would absolutely not be better. and yeah ukko straight up has this effect already as well.
