Definitely the other way around. Politics has been weaponised and now pollutes everything, where even a hobby for the "outcasts" is now a platform for the vocal propagandists that demand it be more inclusive. Imagine that, a hobby that included the excluded is now not considered inclusive enough.
It's intentional, though. The whole "left vs right" false dichotomy was built to distract the masses, and in order to properly distract it has to infect anything to masses like. Spotlight tiny meaningless fractions of arbitrary identity groups (obsession with trannies) or immoral behaviour of a handful of individuals (racist outbursts in public) and you suddenly make it front and centre, blowing their frequency and magnitude well out of proportion, and further sow division to push people towards the edges.
So here's the solution: any time you see some bullshit politics being inserted, you walk away. Abandon the companies pushing it on you. Don't even give them the free advertising to complain about it, you're only falling for their bait and doing exactly what they want. Just indulge in your hobby as you normally would, and fuck off anything external.
