Okay, I keep hearing that I need to play draft to get wildcards but I dont have any gems. Do you have to pay? I see you can use gold but even the lowest entry fee is like 5 days of straight grinding.

Draft is in theory the best way to get a big collection, but it's also pretty hard to get to that level. Good drafters will be able to fund their runs with the winnings from previous runs. If you're a shitter then just stick to buying packs. Once you've gotten more used to the game, you can start considering quick draft (cheapest option, 5k gold) but only for a new set. Older sets will be filled with far more experienced players. Playing quick draft will let you practice, but you shouldn't expect great initial returns. Read up, check out guides. Assuming you're not completely ass at it you should be able to get a least a couple decent runs each month, since you'll be at the bottom of bronze.

screaming nemesis ban is one of the most braindead things i've ever seen
then again, i don't play paper magic, and on paper, it might actually be overpowered. in MTGA where everything is rigged by a computer, it's very clearly not a problematic card at all. all it does on MTGA is give you a tiny shred of hope against the overtuned lifegain decks
but yeah, those lifegain deck draws on MTGA are hyper rigged, and your ability to actually use screaming nemesis effectively is also negatively rigged by the algorithm, so... yeah, i guess in paper magic it could all make sense

I tried to get into arena before and just got annoyed by how hard it was to get cards compared to playing IRL. Deleted the app ten minutes after installing it. But I love avatar, and if I could build a good ATLA deck I would totally go for it. How much money would I have to drop on gambling to get a solid deck going?

That's the f2p struggle in these types of games. If you want a big collection, you either pay up or you git gud. You should stick with starter deck queue for a while, it's actually a pretty nice experience that ensures things aren't too unbalanced.

These promos of existing cards are meant to really appeal to show fans, so they're using art from the media packet Nick gives them (which they presumably also gave to the other game).
My main criticism is that one of them is on a black board wipe, while a similar art is on a new black board wipe - it's hard to tell them apart despite being different cards.

had to download gigabytes even though I'm probably going to uninstall this bloated shit
12.4 gb and I've only got 17.3 free, this is getting the axe, so I played one game just to see how it still is

this game took over 16 minutes
my opponent had lost by turn 5 and roped on every single turn

There are fringe situations where despite dropping the omniscience, they lack the draw to use it. It's still a matter of time before they do, and in the meantime, the non-draw card are probably counterspells & stun, so the game is still over, but not instantly.

At that point, you play more quick drafts to git gud until your ROI on premier is worthwhile. Maybe go to trad after that, if you want even higher risk/reward.

First time powered cube drafting, im a noob, what to cut?

I just got the luckiest turn(s) in cube.
I was up against a mono white player with an insane start and I thought I had lost already, the guy had a Gideon in play, 7 cards in hand and a board of tapped out creatures and I had nothing.
I took 6 extra turns with a combination of booster tutor finding time walk, my own time walk, 2 lucky Tersa Lightshatter triggers (which don't exile the time walk) and 2 baby Jace flashbacks.
Totally disgusting, probably won't ever have that much luck ever again.

You have 19 lands I'd cut at least 2, probably even 3.
Definetly cut Cauldron and Hexmage and Thespains Stage as one of the lands since you have nothing that comboes with it.
If I were you I'd think about if you want to go all in on the storm plan or go a more controlling route with big payoffs and then cut accordingly.

Also you shouldn't play 14 lands with no moxes and only one mana dork, so I'd also cut Currency Converter and Mastermind and put in 2 more lands.

You don't have any good lands that warrant land searchers and the natural order package can be nice but also a liability in case you draw the wurm before you draw the order (you can still order into Craterhoof or Titania but it's still kind of risky imo, especially since you're light on low mana green creatures).
The other cards are more low impact or don't synergize with your game plan.
