The Shadow is one of Mezco’s best figures they’ve put out and one that’s expensive on the aftermarket… well, it’s getting a “collectors capsule” tomorrow, people are unsure if this is a straight rerelease or potentially a new version. But going off the name, I’m gonna go with rerelease. Anyways, discuss Mezco figures.

I mean the original shadow was $112. I’m assuming this release had to deal with tariffs, so add around $30 on top of that. That leaves around $30 left, which arguably you could say the collectors stuff equals that, but yeah I’d rather not have that stuff if they could’ve done this for closer to $140 or $150.

I really wish Mezcos were more popular and discussed here. What’s the main reason people are turned off, the price? Do you just not like soft goods?

For Mezco I don't check here anymore as it's very slow, but the Mezco One:12 Collective Collectors Facebook group has 18,000 members and is very active.

For example, in the last day there's been 10 posts on the Shadow with a combined 240 comments.

The price keeps going up and the quality keeps going down it feels like. I have a ton of Mezco's and the early ones were great, but after a while the prices kept increasing while the quality didn't. I feel like the same figure you'd get for $65 back in 2017 now is well over $100. Plus I'm not a fan of a lot of their business practices. They generate artificial fomo, have blatant photoshooting in their promo pics, and are generally just kind of scummy when it comes to their business practices. The wait-list thing is so incredibly gay, especially when the tack a non refundable deposit that doesn't guarantee you shit. I used to like their products but as the years go on, I've just gotten tired of them.

I'm not sure what the intent of this is, the original one they released was already pulp accurate, it was actually MORE pulp accurate since it kept the red lining of the cape while now it's an all-black cape? For the price this is asking too much.

I've been buying the line since the very first figure and it's the only line that i regularly buy from still because it's consistently great.
