It's a grim time for toy collectors. I recently noticed that they used a decade old 2.0 sculpt for the Beetlejuice figure, which costs $100. I don't think I'll ever buy an S.H. Figuarts figure again. Bandai seems to have lost their way and with their ongoing quality control issues, I don't think I'll regret my decision.

Like take Superman from McFarlane. I skipped every supposed "classic" Superman he made because they all looked off, or were defective in some way. It took them around 5 years of releasing bad Supermen for them to release one that caught my eye. That was Silver Age Supes, which IMO did everything right (within the confines of a McFarlane figure anyway, I'm sure imports have better range). So I won't need to buy another Supes now, especially since the line is dead and I have no intention of starting again with Mattel.
