They took the tiniest amount of backwards motion and, in return, they made the knee bend look far more natural. The *real* issue with Daima Goku is the limited chest articulation and the soft plastic skirt that also limits the upward range of the thigh. Left and middle are both fine imo and it likely will come down to preference as to which you prefer, but saying the middle is somehow worse than the right is just wrong.

I love how people spent the last few years bitching about 'muh 2.0 knees,' then Figuarts finally makes a compromise that improves the look without sacrificing too much articulation, and people go back to bitching. Give it a few months and 3rd parties will adopt a similar set up and then the same people trashing Bandai for it today will be singing the praises of Chinese bootleggers tomorrow.

Because we have gotten so many 3rd party offerings for a saiyan saga Goku? Tonsen has shown that it is possible to actually compete with Bandai, but the vast majority of companies are just content with pumping out the same variation of SS Goku, Vegeta, and fan fic tier characters. Unless more third parties start approaching their figures like Tonsen or Beast Deities did, they will always just be profiting off of Bandai's sloppy seconds with minor tweaks and will forever live in their shadow.

I am still caught between the Daima knees and the Super Hero Gohan knees. I think both have their pros. The Super Hero Gohan ones look pretty good and have great range, and the Daima ones look good and have 2.0 range +/- without the ugly ass knee spikes.

Not even close. If I am thinking of the same one, that Goku has a horrible hair sculpt and a very awkward blocky body. (Yes, it has the 3.0 articulation but that isn't enough to excuse the other glaring flaws that figure has.)

Again, agree - BD and Tonsen showed the potential of 3rd parties but all their 'competitors' are content with pumping either the same shit Bandai has done or the same body Bandai has done with minor tweaks and updated face/head sculpts.
