Funny question for you guys. Once I've got my new printer in and set up, I'm planning on designing some resin-printable Sonic figures, slightly anthrofied compared to the official designs both for appeal and for practicality. Question is, how big should I make them? The 4 inch Jakks figures are IIRC roughly 1:12, but given accuracy is already out the window somewhat I might make them half an inch taller?

It looks interesting but I don't know how many people are going to be down for a price tag that's probably going to be $60 (which is the price of those other mutant made by the guys who did the Army Ant repro). There's art for a big walrus guy that might get made if it makes it big though. I'm rooting for them. I'm kinda shocked a SWAT Kats toy revival hasn't happened since it 1) had little in the way of toys way back when anyhow and 2) has stayed a lot more in the general nerdy conscience than pretty much all of those other shows.
Admittedly, that's pretty much entirely on Callie, but the point still stands. And a Callie figure would have a lot more broad appeal in theory.
In any case, I'd get swat kats figs 100%, especially Felina, the metallikats, and pastmaster.
It just occurred to me too that, though I'm not really a toy vehicle person, obviously a big appeal would simply be a good quality thunderkat. That'd be a good flagship and would also likely pull in others not necessarily interested in the cartoon by virtue of being a cool jet.

He's a solid figure overall, but honestly kind of lacking in gear. All the joints on mine are smooth and firm so he can hold poses and such, and is fun to move around. He can also stand well without using the tail as a tripod, though his ankles aren't the best. But yea, he only comes with the two heads, some basic hands, the soft good, the sword and a giant flame effect...which looks nice but will just end up in my parts bin. I plan to try and steal some accessories from other figures to help spruce him up a bit more as I want to use him in an Adventuring Party and he'll need better gear then just some torn rags to fit that role.

They've always come through for me. But you got to remember is that they source most of their asian stuff from other retailers and not direct from the distributors. So you not only have to take into account the time it takes the retailers to get their stock in, but also then for them to ship it out to bbts. Bbts also uses the absolute cheapest, slowest economy shipping options so it's n9t uncommon for them to get there stock in two+ months after release.
tldr only buy chink stuff from bbts if it is sold out everywhere else.
