So far, I've got
>Wizard Rod 5-70DB
>Soar Phoenix 9-60GF
>Dran Buster 1-60A
I might get a Talon Ptera 3-80B just for the bit (it's 7โฌ) for Wizard Rod. I will switch the ratchets on WR with Phoenix. And then leave Dran Buster stock.
Sword Dran 3-60F is going on sale for 11,59โฌ. What other Hasbro releases should I be looking for?

i'm going to an event with the hasbro stadium soon. I've heard that buster on H is pretty good in there so i'm thinking of using it, but I also wanna use phoenix on R. which one would be a better use of 1-60? and what ratchet should I use on the other?

Is CX saved yet? This all makes me very very nervous to get back in when I got horribly burnt on wave 1 CX releases.
>>11457108Left column is every CX blade combo that has made top 3 at WBO tournaments from release to yesterday, at 43 entries.
Right is just Scorpio Spear by itself, at 108.
They're just not strong enough to use compared to other options. Maybe Pegasus will be the first good one.

call me crazy but I'd rather the average beyblade be "bad" than to see a never ending power creep escalation war take place
>>11457156>never ending power creep escalation warBlame them. These are 1st and 2nd place numbers since January 1st.
>>11457156>I'd rather the average beyblade be "bad"That only ensures that the good ones are the only ones that get used. Nothing changes.
>>11457156I agree, better the devils you know than the angels you don't. Frankly, Beyblade X has stagnated not only as a scene but also as a toyline as well. It has peaked with UX, and cannot get any better than that without escalating to Zero-G levels of clown meta.
>>11457231Rod was the big mistake that never should have happened. The main lesson is never make something that's just big, round and heavy. And for the people that might say 35.5g isn't heavy nowadays, it's definitely heavy for what it is.
>>11457108I played against a Fox Brush for the first time the other day. After the first two deck shuffles, I realized it was nothing to be afraid of. It was like every other CX, all the hits were so soft and it immediately ran out of stamina.
>>11457328Imagine if MFB had released Phantom or Duo in the first wave of the Hybrid Wheel system instead of at the end. That's what Rod is like.
>>11457826I dunno, it feels more like the earth wheel, where it was a very good defense/stamina wheel at the start, and then as time went on it became more balanced. I mean, fuck, there's so many rod counters now.

Made for Silver Wolf.
>>11457826>He doesn't know about Libra meta.
Are 8mm ratchets really that bad? I understand they're more vulnerable to burst but won't the extra weight help with offense and defense? I'm using a 1-80 for my keel shark and that thing packs a punch. Unfortunately I don't have a 1-60 to try and see what works best though, but I feel like as long as all 3 parts aren't weak to burst the tall ratchets have a lot of value
>>11458623Libra ended up being used as an attack type.
>>11458641>I understand they're more vulnerable to burst but won't the extra weight help with offense and defense? No. Being taller doesn't help with offense, it makes you worse at it. And you have less defense if your ratchet is always in danger of being Burst. Shark wants to be as low as possible specifically to target ratchets, you're going in the opposite direction. There's a reason no one ever uses 80-height ratchets, and it's not that people just haven't considered them or tested them, it's because they suck. All of the CX Beys are mid because they're too tall to do anything.
>>11458641The problem is that the extra height and weight isn't substantial enough to make a difference. Probably the easiest way to understand it is to look at MFB. I'm not an expert in it, not even close, but the extremes in heights were much more variable. The power of something like a 230 height track is that it absorbs blows from low height attackers, since the metal of a low attacker won't be able to reach the metal of a high blade, making it harder for it to take out. Meanwhile, a ratchet is a big, glaring weak point. Making a bigger weak point is like wearing a Kick Me sign. The 70 ratchets sometimes see use, for example on Tyranno Beat, but that's more to take advantage of its contact points.
I'd get into competitive beyblade if it wasn't for all the lame south asians, mentally retarded niggers and all the fatsos too. i'm content just playing with my close group of friends. holy shit y'all seem like little bitches
Should I bother with Xeno xcaliber and l drago? There's a guy selling the both l drago and Xeno at a decent price.
>>11459872Not unless you really like them. They're both super light, 1-60 doesn't line up correctly on Xcalibur like it does on Dran Buster, and LLD is just a worse Cobalt Dragoon in every way.
So I went to a toy fair recently and some guy was selling graded hms era beys. I didnt even know there was graded beyblades. Seems like a ponzi scheme just like sports card grading.
I finally got the prize Fox Brush. I'm thinking 9-60 point, and making a defense combo using the black fox chip I got from the gacha before. Maybe somehow get my hands on the cerberus wheel and make "FoxDarkWheel 7-60 (some kind of defense bit)"
So nice of my stores to do a full wave 1 restock the week before wave 5 releases. Exactly what I wanted to see.
>>11462242went by walmart today and saw a sidewing display of singles, best as I could tell it was just helm knight, leon claw, wizrod and dran buster. was mildly tempted by the latter two just cause the ones I got are from the arena bundle but it seems wasteful
>>11462246What state? Those two-pack bundles haven't shown up here yet.
>>11462248nah I mean I imported pic related a while back. is there a two-pack with these variants coming stateside or something?
>>11462255Yeah, Walmart is selling Dran Buster and Wizard Rod together for $10 for some reason. These started popping up this week.
>>11462257oh, they're together? I saw them in the wrapping but figured whoever put it on the shelf just hadn't bothered opening it. if it's really a two-pack for $10 I'm heading back up there right now to get one.
and i'm in the midwest, I know when I saw news about a previous wave releasing super early (wave 3 I think?) it was illinois or missouri or something like that so I tried my luck but it was a dud around here.
>>11459924Thanks for the advice. Gonna get a yellow cobalt dragoon and Pegasus blast instead
>>11462345I can't believe Beys and Bricks is charging $33 for the Pegasus preorder. They usually have starters at $25. I guess it's the hype plus the metal coat tax.
>>11462423yeah that price caught me off guard. I thought I'd just try amazon JP instead but that was almost $40 after shipping so I'll just settle with B&B. Not like they've ever fucked with me before. CXs are just a bit more expensive than I'd like all around, and this is coming from a collectorfag that isn't even concerned about their meta relevance.
>>11462423>>11462426Have you tried Aliexpress? I got mine for 33$ Cad including shipping with the summer sale going on
>>11462423>>11462426It's because they do that thing where they offer "free shipping" on preorders and then as soon as it releases properly they drop the price down to normal. It'd be about the same either way but still the usual business scummery
What is everyone's opinion on
Infinity Nado
?
>>11462789I'd never heard of it until now, but you can definitely tell it was made during Metal Fight era.
Is any of the stock CXs good or do they all suck out of the box?
>>11462806There is new ones that have rev-up sword launchers that you jerk off
>>11462814>or do they all suck out of the boxThat's true for almost every Bey, but CX just sucks in general.
>>11462850Cool launchers gimmick but the blades kinda suck
Okay, so. I just got back from a casual sparring event with a few WBO peeps. They were prepping for the big Chicago tournament happening next weekend, and they wanted to practice. We did a few normal seasons, but I got them to try something WILD: Reversal.
I took the idea from Keyforge. Basically, you bring the most useless shite of a deck you can, and you give it to your opponent to use. They give you an equally shitty deck, and you ride that race to the bottom to see who can polish the shiniest turd. I have my opponent:
>Dran Sword 2-60DB>Arrow Wizard 5-70P>Steel Samurai 4-80QAnd I was given shit like
>Ghost Circle 3-85S>Horn Rhino 3-80H>X-Over Excalibur 7-70DBYou get the idea. It was hilarious! I had one launch with the Excalibur where his top and mine both exploded right as the match started, sending pieces everywhere. We even had one DB bit fly out of the stadium! It was hilarious and you guys absolutely need to try this. Seriously. If you're getting bored, run a reveal tournament. The only rules we ran were right spin only and MN is banned. That's all you need.
>>11462257Yeah, someone at the meetup was showing theirs off today. Crazy decision out of Walmart...
>>11465469That should be Horn Rhino 3-80HN...
>Hasbro is rushing production to try and catch up with TT to make the "world championship" more of an even playing field
>still no Aero Pegasus mass release in sight
>>11465508Aren't Aero Pegasus and Cobalt Drake rare lotto beys? TT probably has some stipulation that they can't be given to Hasbro for mass production.
Does anyone know legit Shopee/Aliexpress sellers?
>>11465589Yeah, but the problem is that Aero Pegasus is top 5 in the meta and almost every 1st place deck you see for Japanese tournaments has it. Something that strong shouldn't be locked behind a gacha in the first place, but at least they still have a way to get it. Even in Japan, aftermarket prices for the blade are around $150 USD.
>>11465676I miss the horoscope and constellation theme. I loved having Beys for my sign, it felt special.
>>11465728Didn't this mean there were only 12 beyblades?
>>11465788I'm a dumbass, I only thought of the horoscope related constellations
>>11465672If its that overused in Japan but not going to be available outside of Japan, then they could just ban Aero Pegasus from International tournaments.
Just received a clear Cobalt Drake and its sitting around 37.97g. How heavy was the Original one?
>>11465672Don`t worry man, we are getting Pegasus Blast for everyone! Its gonna be better than Aero Pegasus like /sarcrasm.

๐
>>11466488>Pegasus Blast for everyone!>CX's are too tall to be viable even on the lowest combos>they make Turbo start the battle at 90 height
>>11466515It's actually kind of sad to see that B&B is breaking up the first three CX releases to sell as single parts. They're so bad that no one is buying the full starters, and with the Hasbro releases shipping now, they need to make money on all the imports they made somehow. I'm coping hard for Pegasus, but if it isn't any better than all the other releases, the CX system might just be fundamentally flawed beyond saving.
>>11465925TT don't even banned Aero Pegasus during Asian Championship, which I find funny where almost all participants had Aero Pegasus when gacha app who had Pegasus only available on two countries, Japan and Singapore.
I just wanna casually play beyblade what's good at retail for babby's first Beyblade X?
Also did they do any more sets base off the OG besides driger and dranzer? That's all I can find on amazon.
>>11466974>I just wanna casually play beybladejust buy shit you think looks cool. don't worry about what the best ones are. like if I were to pick some of my top favorites I'd admit wizrod is up there but alongside it is stuff like wizard arc and wyvern gale and this has absolutely nothing to do with their viability
>Also did they do any more sets base off the OG besides driger and dranzer? That's all I can find on amazon.you can import some, I forget exactly what all they've done but I know there's a draciel at least since I ordered that for parts. and the 25th anniversary set which has dragoon storm and a few others based on MF and Burst
>>11466985Ok thanks. Yeah I'll just pick whatever looks neat or themed after some animal I like or something. Too scared to think of how competitive works.
Any beystadium recommendations?
>>11467038you pretty much need to get the big boy (which I think is on amazon now? I know it wasn't released stateside at retail because it takes up too much shelf space. if it isn't then it's easy enough to import.) the other ones on sale are like half the size and that lack of room makes every battle just about how can hit first more than anything else
I know most people write off CX offhand because they're too tall and whatnot but has anybody tried seeing if you can do anything with the assist blades? either interesting combos between them and the main ones or just seeing if moving their position changes anything noteworthy.
>>11467696The only novel thing right now is how you can change your balance tuning with CX more finely, although itโs only really noticeable with 1 ratchets. Especially with Fox Brush, that blade is already unbalanced and being able to choose where you want that imbalance is kind of nice.
How would you go about growing your Bey community? Our group is relatively small and not always available to meet on our tournament days. Posting flyers around town? Facebook? I don't know what would be the best way to get the word out.
>>11467696the only "solution" ive seen so far is just the Jaggy ass-blade allowing more metal contact by moving the plastic out of the way somewhat and giving lower height compared to the rest of CX, similar to Slash.
could be good for attack types but cx flaws still fuck the current options over.
>>11463138idunno, a lot of X beys are good straight out of the box.
>>11468011I used fox/jaggy/ 1-60 Low Rush at a local. It hit really hard when it connected. Its my new favorite glass cannon.
>>11467915Try facebook maybe there's local beyblade groups or the WBO forums.
the more I see people talk about CXs being inherently flawed the more I wonder why people don't try running a CX-only side tourney. I mean, it's not like formats don't exist in literally every other competitive environment. I guess the simple answer is lack of interest but variety is the spice of life and surely people are bored of rod dragoon wolf all day
>>11468239Not enough CX stuff at this point. And even then, it'd likely be attack spam since that's the only real way CX can succeed in some form. It's fucked in terms of stamina or defense.
>>11468239>>11468389>"My deck is Brave, Brush, Blast. Oh, yours too? And your friend's? Haha, well, at least there's no Wizard Rod. We finally have some variety."
I wish this wasn't such a niche interest sometimes. It's no trouble finding a place to play a tcg or a fighting game. I just want to spin.
My first duel dreidel in a long time. I had the original so I sorta got it for nostalgic reasons. I've been on and off with Dranzer because the reviews aren't too stellar and just wanted something on par with this one.
Considering grabbing the string launchers sets just for launchers and parts lol.

>>11469436>I've been on and off with Dranzer because the reviews aren't too stellarThe x-over beys are more of a collector's item, you're not really supposed to battle with them so don't bother with the reviews, get it if you like how it looks.
If you're a fan of Driger consider getting the Pearl Tiger and Gill Shark dual pack, I hear Gill isn't all that great but it comes with Orb and Pearl Tiger is pretty good if you build it right.
>>11452836 (OP)I want to get into beyblades after not touching it since 1st gen. What are the best value for money starter sets to get going? I'd imagine I have to get my freinds into it by inviting the mover so I need at least a 2 launchers and a few blades to customize. If no a set, what are individual products I should splurg on?
>>11469908Starting from scratch, this is probably the best route to take to get all the commonly-used top tier parts if you really want to get into it and avoid wasting money on bad parts. For the stuff that matters, it gives you
Blades:
>x1 Dran Buster>x1 Impact Drake>x1 Knight Mail>x1 Phoenix Wing>x1 Silver Wolf>x1 Tyranno Beat>x2 Wizard RodRatchets:
>x3 1-60>x1 3-60>x1 7-70>x2 9-60Bits:
>x1 Low Rush>x2 Rush>x1 Point>x1 Taper>x2 Ball>x1 Free BallAll of this should be around $250, which is a lot, but if you get everything in this image, you should be set for a while. You'll end up with the proper stadium, 2 string launchers, and 3 ripcord launchers. All together, you can build 2 really powerful decks.
saw these on amazon if you're desperate for old wave 2 stock and launchers I guess
>>11470084The costs are going to be higher for me since I'm not in the US so add shipping and taxes.
I'm currently looking into Japanese sites as it might be cheaper to import TT directly from them. Any suggestions?
>>11471606Like with the Buster/Rod bundle, I find it so funny that Hasbro's poor distribution lead to droughts for a almost a year and now they're trying to get rid of these any way they can. I wouldn't be surprised to see a bundle of some of the older two-packs at this point.
>>11471606I'm desperate for 9-60 so I guess I'll get one. Never owned Roar Tyrano either.

>>11472188I see people constantly weighing blades and the differences seem to me neligable. How much difference does it actually make?
>>11472381Scorio Spear weighs almost 40g and when it came out it was a consistent asshole in tournaments. Ghost circle, which is the lightest beyblade to this day, only sees use in a very specific fringe setup that uses its light weight, otherwise it will always get blown out even by a wizard rod touching it.
any recommendations for an aggressive scorpio build? im liking it on 9-60 free ball but now i wanna slam this thing into shit

I had a beyblade session with my niece and let her use stock Sting Unicorn. We had a good time. She asked if Sting can burst, but I've yet to see that happen with the ones I have.
Lance Knight and Tail Viper love to explode though.
Does anyone have Wyvern Hover yet? I know it's supposedly top-tier good, but is it $50 good? I'll never use the stadium and I already don't use the Impact Drakes I have.
>>11477377Its elite so spend what you think getting an elite beyblade is worth. If you are trying to obtain the best beys then yeah its well worth it.
I know most anons here don't give a shit, but is anyone else gonna compete at AX? even despite hasbro's shitty handling of it so far, it's a fun opportunity, so i'll be there
Tracking down an affordable Bound Spike has been a nightmare. I may just have to bite the bullet and buy a Tricera press at this rate.
>>11480468to be fair, that's probably why they bundled it in there, same with the 3-85 in the random booster.
>>11477377Just sell ID and the stadium. Not for the full price, maybe at 15~20 and 25~30 respectively. You could make your money back or at the very least spend just 10~15 bucks for HW.
>>11477377Or you know...buy it, keep hover wyvern blade and return it... Up to you, I am not your conscience.
Turbo has a ratchet connection similar to the .5 height ones. I like the CX Tool, I hope it fits in the empty connector on your launcher.
>>11480806>similar to the .5 onesso its burst resistance is shit? will still have fun with it but thats too bad, i kind of wish these more unique parts had better burst resist, i dont think theyd to be too OP with it.
just did some tricera testing, and ngl it seems really fuckin good. ofc the saviour ratchet/blade combo of 9-60 and under needle made it super good, but even outside of that it has some potential.
US representative for World Championship, ElenaBEY
Also reason why Hasbro or TT(?) only held 13+ nationals tournament on US
>>11481341Hasbro higher ups are notoriously retarded, the teams are always fighting them for budget and to give fans what they want.
Takara might have direct control of the quality this gen, but they logistically still have to put hasbro in charge of western marketing, tournaments included.
Same as it ever was.
>>11481341>>11481343>>11481572This is a summary from some organizers who were at the event. TLDR; it sounds like Hasbro is sabotaging things and Takara Tomy isn't happy with them.
>>11478176Did you win?
I'm still relatively new and like to play stock.
>>11482030i lost instantly lmao
over finish into extreme finish, probably the funniest way it couldve gone so im not mad
interesting though is that, after i used a slightly tilted launch, a completely unrelated judge came over and started arguing with my judge, trying to DQ me, even though i lost???
i saw another person talk about their judge letting their opponent counter pick them, pulled out wizard rod and then the opponent started rummaging in their bag and pulled out dragoon E, judge did nothing.
apparently multiple judges were also told to just skip the part checks to save time, though mine didn't
>>11481341>>11481343>>11481983God anyone can do better than Jewbro. I just volunteered to help run a local community tournament with 32 kids and it was probably better managed than what I saw at AX
>>11482113Sorry to hear that, did you at least get a participation prize or something? I would have entered just to job. I'd use my favorite jobber beys that explode.
>>11481320The heck are these winners?
Not Tyson? Some chick with a face of concern, and Matpat? At least I think it's Matpat, but that's just a theory...
>>11470084I got wand wizard 5-70db because I could find the1-60R. Is that an okay substitute?
>>11482113the judge tried to dq you because you used a tilted launch?
Going to Japan this August, mostly Tokyo and Kyoto. Anything Asia-exclusive worth grabbing?
>>11482239no participation prize.
>>11482267yup. considering Hasbro did their upmost to convince Takara and the tournament staff that absolutely nobody would attend, it makes sense that they wouldn't bother informing them about stuff like launching tech. I completely understand that someone unfamiliar with beyblade would assume "oh i bet he's not allowed to do that"
anyway, my crackpot theory is that Hasbro intentionally set up Takara into unknowingly letting the tournament be prepared as badly as it was. from the stuff that's come out, it seems like Takara has been hounding Hasbro's ass about hosting Japanese style tournaments, but Hasbro kept refusing because they don't see any kind of monetary profit in it. I'm betting that the reason Hasbro kept feeding them info like "13+ regionals wouldn't be worth it" and "only expect 30-50 people max" was to corner Takara into hosting exactly this, a poorly organized tournament in an expensive location that the minimum amount of people had access to. ideally, Hasbro hoped that these unfavorable odds would make their lies come true, "proving" to Takara that western competitive Beyblade is a pointless endeavor so they'll get off Hasbro's ass. Thankfully, the sheer number of people showing up and showing how many comp communities exist in the US alone fucked over Hasbro, and now Takara KNOWS they were full of shit. I'm probably just spinning a narrative, though.
>>11482577>I'm probably just spinning a narrative, though.I really wouldn't put it past hasbro, considering how they've treated just about every other IP in my experience. Don't even get me started on what they've done with MTG's competitive scene.
>>11481320tms was definitely seething, dude in third place he plays like he does crack
I went to several Target and Walmart and they're in this weird wave 1 maybe 2 rut. No Tidal Wave for me I guess.
>>11482239She's using Rod with Rush bit instead of Ball, so she's earning my respect
