Every set has a budget. Prints take up much more resources than stickers. So it's either a print or a sticker and a dozen more bricks for the build. It's easier to see why a designer would want more bricks, a minifigure etc.

Acetone can damage ABS plastic. Try using a q-tip with some water and maybe a toothpick

Any collectors of retired themes here? Decided I wanted to have at least one full collection of a theme and decided on Insectoids. There's a higher number of kits for the theme but it seems pretty unpopular compared to classic space or the early 90s space themes nor does it have anything complicated like a monorail so it seems feasible. With the larger sets I feel like there's too many specialized pieces to just piece it on bricklink but do you guys generally just piece your sets that way or buy them as complete models always?

I mostly just buy used sets on Bricklink, especially if there's a bunch of specific pieces that would be hard to track down individually (having to buy them from multiple stores when I can't find a single person selling all of them quickly adds up in postage fees). I've parted out some sets, but only when they mostly use common pieces that I already have, so I only needed a few specific ones to complete the set.

I literally work in art-industry (animation/videogames) as a game designer character designer and i'm probably older than some actual Lego Designers working on these sets, so your autism won't work here retard.

Creator 3-in-1 Castle and Ideas Viking Village are born 10 over your limit but decent choices if you're into those themes. Creator is good for more "generic" looking sets. Creator Pirate Ship, Modern House, Cozy House, and Space Roller Coaster are some other choices depending on what you're into. I get you. I actually gravitated to Lego City because of the Lego City Undercover video game. It felt like a big adventure in the city. I made my own sigfig to be my self-insert to experience the idea of the city. While I'm not a huge fan of license stuff, I do get it when it suits something I need. Like I got the Stormtrooper mech because by changing out the tile on the chest and the pieces on the arms from white to yellow, it's suddenly a Lego space security mech.
I even come up with other characters to have these adventures with. Like Sasha Fury, distant relation to Rex Fury, and Professor Stan Leroy, a Stan Lee knockoff.
But it is more fun to have unique Lego themes that are like an open canvas for us to play in and fill in the details. It's like Lego sets up the scaffolding and we fill in the rest.

The entire modular line dating back to 2007 isn't licensed. And what about the remakes? Sure, it's not a whole theme but they've made a couple in the past few years and they are all designed for play and interactivity.

My problem with it is how much space it wastes on empty rooms, passageways, and the secret rooms. The kitchen, great hall, and bedroom are three rooms on top of each other in the smallest of the two main towers. The biggest one then has a dungeon/cellar below, some weapon racks on the top floor, and a toilet. It has so little in it partly because the gate is built too far into the building taking up so much space in the middle that you can barely fit anything on two of the floors. Then the courtyard takes up space which could have been a room or two and makes it into essentially a passageway. Even the battlements here are less than 50% accessible. And the part below the courtyard (which you can't access without disconnecting the two halves of the castle) could have been a guardhouse or something, but is used as a secret forestman room. I mean do they want it to be realistic or not? Additionally a few of the 'tower' parts are inaccessible or too small to put a minifig into.
Basically I think most of this stems from not wanting the outline to be a 'boring' square. Because of this they end up wasting space on angled walls and small alcoves to the point that the parts that are actually big enough to contain a room make up a small part of the structure.

The cringiest part of the LKC(yes even moreso than the turd frog), is how there's a manmade skep beehive hanging from the tree. This is not how natural hives look like in the slightest.

Fortnite has the worst character-to-probability ratio of any IP by a wide margin. Google says 2400 skins. that is 00.04% they will get the exact character you want.

Lego could make 16-character CMF sets, twice a year, and it would still take 75 years before they did each Fortnite character. and that's assuming that no new characters are added to the game.

I think it's fine enough, I don't really get the outfit choices they went with thoughever. I would have preferred both Paul and Leto in their dress uniforms along with Duncan in his jammies or alternatively just all of them in stillsuits instead of the weird mix we got. Lego are kinda cautious now on what licenses they make sets for, they got hit pretty bad when IPs such as angry birds, trolls 2 or DC movies tie in sets flopped because of the movies underperforming.
