Interesting, I feel the opposite but that's because I've never been the most steady hand.
I'm no perfectionist but seeing squiggly lines when I'm going for straight ones irks me. Right now I prefer doing simple messy sketches since I don't have to worry about it too much.
Colouring I find mentally relaxing since I see it as simple blocking in shapes but maybe that'll change when I try more advanced techniques.

It's always interesting how ppl find different things challenging and/or easy.

Adding to what >>11463716 says here, I'll list the common issues I've found with my fave zombimbo:

> Neck socket easily comes loose over time due to weight and the socket not being deep enough and with malleable enough plastic, especially if you expose her to alternating hot and cold conditions (such as living in a tropical nation and turning on the AC frequently), can be remedied with simple hot water

That's not to say she's bad, quite the opposite. There's a lot of passion put into her design, and some of these issues can be averted if you play carefully.

I really think she's one of their bests overall, from aesthetics to the good bits about her quality. Overall, I just wish they'd have fixed up those QC issues in later runs and made her with bare zomboobies just like her original art.

Other figures that Revo did included early capeshit (the first symptoms of what was yet to come), their Science Fiction line (which included lots of famous kaiju), Transformers, and some outliers like their many many skeletons - but, point is, there's a key connection between why they did some of their figures: it was easy to license with them being big media franchise names.

We're lucky they were even able to make what they could back then, since they were coming off Hobby Japan's big breaks in mass-merchandising, where statues were a big source of income (as seen with all the statues that fill MyFigureCollection). Hell, QB's Revo line lacks some of the other iconic girls, like Melpha (while we get her fellow nun, I'm still feeling cheated of more holy milkbags), Tomoe and Shizuka, and Risty. I think audience was also key: the QB line was well-received by their audience of the late 2000s-early 2010s, before shit became politically polarized come the mid-2010s onward.
Overall, they were pretty much outliers in the greater scheme of Revoltech's business plans, but they were some of the best decisions they made.

Cheapest and easiest would be to just print out pics from google images on regular printer paper. I've done that before for photography but probably wouldn’t like very nice for display. And standard paper size is likely gonna be too small for 1/12 figures anyway. So like other anon said I guess you will have to get them printed from somewhere. Also I often use artstation and video game photo modes for backgrounds but of course depends on what environment you want.
