Jannies, delete this shit.

The previous thread was also still on page 6, albeit one image away from image limit. you couldn't post one more image?

BBTS got my Hook and Long Haul early
>>11460760BBTS having something early is a miracle, i'm happy for you
>>11460760same, got an email they were processing soon
>>11460760>>11460770Hell yeah! Same. How many bots total? I haven't been followind Devy too closely. I think I have 4 at this point in my pile of loot.
>>11460779the last 2 come out in september I think
>>114608346 in total then?
I try not to buy more than one version of a given mold, and I usually wait long enough to see all the versions that Hasbro is gonna use, and make my choice then.
I got the SS86 Bumblebee, because I figured they were just going to squirt out another Cliffjumper with it.
Instead, they made Bumper, who's one of my favorite obscure bots, and I feel like pulling my fucking face off.
I wouldn't even mind paying resale to get him individually (I got animated Motormaster, don't care for Magnus without his armor, and fuck Horri-bull generally), but it would drive me fucking NUTS to have two guys that looks almost identical on my shelf: the whole reason I got the SS86 in the first place was because I bought the GenSel Bug Bite, and couldn't make myself get any of the BB mold with THAT body
>>11460840Forgot pic, not that anyone needed it.
Finished up my second custom earlier today. Decided to do her entirely with those 50 cent apple barrel paints from walmart just to see if they were of any value. My verdict is that they're "okay", but really do not like to thin and are extremely chalky.
>>11460840>>11460843I'm still mad they did this and didn't remold the car instead of putting the Bumper head on the figure that was actually designed to homage Bumper in the first place.
>>11460854Apple Barrel is the lowest-end paint for a reason. You can tell from looking at it, though I will say you did an astounding job making it even. Airbrush?
Either way, clearcoat that shit immediately, apple barrel scratches off if you give it so much as a sharp glance.
>>11460854>>11460858Should have gave it a base coat of acrylic gunmetal or silver and then when the Apple Barrel Paint scratches off in areas it will just look like battle damage or weathering
>>11460860holy shit that's actually a really good idea. I might try that sometime. I often run into limitations of painting figures since, yknow, there's joints.
>>11460840I used to be the same but honestly if a mold is fun, fuck it Iโll buy it twice, thrice, however many times I see fit. Lifeโs too short to restrict my plastic crack addiction, if I know Iโm going to enjoy the figure Iโll double dip. Besides, I love repaints/retools.
>>11460854Glyph bro
That's a great color and pick
>>11460854Who's that behind her?
>>11460899the wire shins suggest it's... that guy.. the remold of him was the purple and white guy with the shoulders..
>>11460858Thanks for the compliment. I hand painted it all.

>was excited for snarl and slug two pack because i wanted g2 colors and thought since it was in a two pack I might get them both slightly cheaper
>its not cheaper at all, over $100
Now I'm not so sure I want to get them. I could get Magmatron instead for under $100
I just bought my first Transformer figure after getting rid of my collection a few years ago
Earthrise Optimus Prime for only 60 euros with original packaging but there something with his arm
Theres a big gap whenever i move the arm a bit
Should i use plastic glue to fix this or will this fuck up the figures mobility
>>11460854You need to apply a clear top-coat to her or she's going to flake everywhere.
>>11460940The nylon parts are going to flake paint even with topcoat.
>>11460939Do yourself a favor, return that thing and buy the Studio Series 86 one.
>>11460999>Just kick around and saddle up for a hefty return over at Target for that sweet toy hunt feel when making that return purchase.
>>11461000He paid in euros, retard. No Targets in Europe.
>>11460999i ordered in from a store in spain and had it shipped to me to germany i dont think i can just replace it that easily
i also prefere teh look of this optimus
i like that some truck Kibble is still visible in the rbot mode like the tires on his leg
It adds to the charm of a transforming truck to have some parts of the alt mode visible in the robot mode instrad of doing everything to hide it
>>11460939Shoulder cracks are common. One of my ER Primes had a pin driven too far on the right shoulder. Return it for another.

>>11461035I cant return it unfortuantly
I bought it from a spanish store and had it shipped to me
Is there a way to fix the shoulder?
its not a big issue so far but maybe in the future it might break which makes me nervous because i like ER prime design more than SS86 Prime even though his articulation is a bit worse compared to 86

>>11461018>i ordered in from a store in spainAnon you're replying to here. Funny, I'm from Spain.
>It adds to the charm of a transforming truck to have some parts of the alt mode visible in the robot mode instrad of doing everything to hide itUnderstandable. In my case hiding the wheels is what makes the SS86 unique, I already own many Primes with exposed wheels so having a mainline one like this is a breath of fresh air. The involved transformation is pretty cool too, love the clever engineering.
As for the problem with your toy, can the shoulder be dissasembled easily by unscrewing, or is it pinned? If you separate both halves maybe we can see were the problem is.
>>11461104There's a number of ways you can go about this:
>superglue the area and let it sit for a couple daysEasy fix, though you'll have to be delicate with your toy.
>tamiya puttyWork, apply, and sand to the desired effect. It'll keep the shoulder together really well.
>replace the armThis is the easiest and most effective solution. Buy a "for parts" ER Prime and swap out the arm via the mushroom joints.
>everything from SS wave 2 shipped
>except constructicons
I feel like I should molest store about any date for them, at this point I will preorder whole team before getting even 1/6.
Did anyone else buy this set? I'm having a lot of fun with them since I got them on Monday. I bought it for Prime, but in hand Starscream is an incredible fun toy. I understand folks who wanted bigger figures, but Im pretty happy with the Deluxe scaling, makes them more affordable to more people.
I made a video of them if anyone wants to see how they transform from each modes, or comparisons to other figures.

>>11461115I've got 2/6 and 2/5 for Constructicons and Aerialbots respectively but only just as of last week. Distribution seems to be all over the place for some of these.
>>11460840>reason I got the SS86 in the first place was because I bought the GenSel Bug Bite, and couldn't make myself get any of the BB mold with THAT bodywait isn't Gen Select Bug Bite just using the Cliffjumper altmode?

where'd you get the custom head for magpie girl?
>>11461111how would you rank tamiya putty vs apoxie sculpt by the way

>>11460999Fuck off, Tooner
>>11461180The caboose is vamoose
I have 86 Optimus prime and Earthrise Optimus prime.
I like both a lot.
Earthrise is simpler, but I can't ignore the presence 86 has. Should I wait for Takara's 86 Megatron?
>>11461275As opposed to what?
>>11461275Takara's 86 release isn't going to be any different
When are the retooled MP seekers coming out? Or am I better off selling mine and getting third party?
Thoughts on titan omega supreme? Did he have any major qc issues like tidal wave's exploding knees? I heard the protector bot version had a horrible chest/painted see through panel load bearing/hinge cracking problem
>he buys Transformers made post-2001
Lmao
>>11461342They really need to put out more BW reissues
>>11461331I'd like to know myself, I want to grab one of the reissues since I haven't bought any mainline figures in years (last figures I bought were PotP stuff), and now I'm going around and picking up all these Titan reissues of figures I missed. Got the re-release redeco of Trypticon, and glad I missed the original version because that lighter grey wasn't very toy accurate (original had a darker grey), and I heard that one had exploding joint problems too.
Scorponok and Omega are next on my list, any issues with those?
>>11461331>>11461361The only thing I would recommend is not using the translucent orange fingers as legs for the rocket mode, they develop small strees marks easily that can lead to cracks. Fully open them so the thruster touches the ground and then use the middle finger joints so the tips are only used to keep balance.
>>11461372Damn, did they go thin on the translucent plastic there or something? That shouldn't be happening unless they cheaped out.
>>11461059>>11461077IRON BIRDS OF
FOREPLAY
>>11461342Hey can you believe I've had this toy s8nce release and only two weeks ago realized the head pops down for beast mode?
>>11461261You only posts this to convince yourself that the Earthrise is the better toy. But you're wrong.
>>11461374>Damn, did they go thin on the translucent plastic there or somethingNo, but translucent plastic for whatever reason is less flexible and prone to develop stress marks under tension. Anyone that has been collectiong for decades can tell you that.
>>11461347Amen to that
>>11461380Are you a bit slow? What did you even see as his robot head? The crab eyes and the top of his head as a mouth?
>>11461394>pops downOh yeah, my bad. Although youโre still slow. I figured that shit out like 20 seconds after I touched him
Got Fire Convoy in today, the fix was surprisingly easy, just 9 screws. I think I filed the bit down a little too much but hey ho. Now to get a drink of milk and go to bed. Tomorrow can be God Magnus day.
>>11461347I say missing links.
the originals are fantastic but a few improvements would be better, and since they're clearly remaking the molds anyway...
also they should scale them up and down. I realize that's not part of the Missing Link concept, but do it anyway. make Insecticon a deluxe. make megalligator and convobat voyagers if not leaders (voyager complexity at least)
>>11461377sadly disabled on /toy/
>>11461380I don't think I consciously thought of the uppy-downy part as being part of the transformation so much as just "his head is kind of a jaw, neat"

>>11461404>havin a glass of milkdo you also have.. chicken.. in a pan.. with a salad..
>>11461405>and since they're clearly remaking the molds anywayExamples?
>>11461410wolfang is basically falling apart because his mold is cheese. they're either remaking it / self-bootlegging it (poorly) or they have the remnant of the old mold and it needed retooling they didn't do.
>>11460746 (OP)BBTS just notified me that I'm getting my Constructicon 2 pack in early. Neato. They haven't solicited the final two yet have they?
>>11461410I think Rattrap was a confirmed reconstructed mold
Or maybe that was just the cope we told ourselves due to him being the same price as a deluxe
>>11461428I'm glad we don't constantly get new versions of beast wars guys that are incrementally improved over old ones, but there are still several that I do not own a satisfying toy for, so for me, subjectively, I do want those done again. In scale with Kingdom figures, with good transformations, with the good aspects of the old toys but not the bad ones.
>>11461180I actually did get this set, and was planning on posting a review of it - however, it showed up literally a day after I did my review and image dump of Ultra Class Jetstorm and the thread was already approaching death, so I didn't want to be the person who ate up the last of the image limit. I'll post what I have when I get off of work later tonight, assuming this is the correct thread (seriously, someone needs to do something about Goanon - his incessant spamming of threads is why I stopped posting my stuff for so long).
>>11461441Hearing people already have their's while mine arrives, like, next friday tells me a bit about what Pulse's international shipping, even just to Canada looks like
>>11461388Oh I know that, yes. But if you make it thick enough it shouldn't stress. Sounds like they made it too thin to hold the pose unless the weight is offset by doing what you said.
>>11461361Ah, a fellow anon hovering around the re-issue and wondering, lets hope we both find the answers we seek and they aren't too bad, and we obtain our omegas. Supreme taste in tryps, I've been having great fun with my aotp tryp, getting the 'cons all around him and watching episodes of g1.
>>11461372Good call anon, do you have omega yourself then? because if that's the only personal issue you've had that's likely avoidable and not a dealbreaker.
>>11461445IIRC anything coming in from the US still ends up going through Canada Post, so a lot of stores will use a cheaper option since it all ends up in 2 depots for sorting and redistribution. Unless they have you paying extra for a third part service like Fedex it's just more economical to do the slightly slower way than to offer like 3 or 4 additional shipping options that people might not even bother with because of the cost difference.

>>11461452>Good call anon, do you have omega yourself then? because if that's the only personal issue you've had that's likely avoidable and not a dealbreaker.Yep, got him three Christmas ago. It's not a dealbreaker at all for sure, just something to have in mind as a precaution.
>>11461450>But if you make it thick enough it shouldn't stressEh, I had decently thick ball joint cups getting stress marks, like RID 2001 Red Alert's doors/hip skirts. Always being under tension for many years can stress them no matter the thickness.
>>11461452Unless there's a sudden crazed rush on Titans, they'll probably be available. Titans always tend to hang around in stock a while.
>>11461473>Omega christmas supreme That's pretty cool anon, hope he hangs out with your bots and still brings you joy. Thank you for the precautionary warning also, I'll surely jump on the opportunity for one if I can.
>>11461480Ah yeah, but more just in general terms I wish anon and myself the best of luck in getting one, never know what other circumstances beyond stock lie in wait, y'know?
>>11461441>>11461445Well I think they're pretty great. A few tiny issues, but real tiny. The way Prime's Legs connect just sort of suck and ruin the smooth intuitive neature of everything else. And I wish Starscream's hands could tuck in because they just sort of hang out the back. But those are the only issues of complaint. The paint applications on both are amazing and the hidden sculpted details throughout make them stand out and feel premium. Both roll incredibly too.
I guess the only superfluous thing to request would be Decepticon symbols added to the top of Starscream's wings and a small tinder trailer for Prime
Whenโs the last time you cracked open a vintage figure anon?
>2/$3.00
Take me back bros
>>11461499>That's pretty cool anon, hope he hangs out with your bots and still brings you joy. He's together with my other Titans on top of a cabinet most of the time, but every now and then I get one of them down and transform/mess with it for a while. Omega's base mode is very fun and that rocket is ridiculously tall.
>the new Perceptor can't form tank mode because of the new chest
Fucking hell, it's always two steps back.
>>11461506hmm loookin a lot better in this picture
>>11461517Nowadays boxes are basically wholly superior but there's something to tearing open a blister
>>11461506An upgrade for Locotimus Prime might be the first DNA kit I get
>>11461521That's good to hear, and a titan row must be a hell of a thing.
You wouldnt by chance have a tryp would you? and be able to give us a sense of size between the two please, or just show off your titan lineup
>>11461517The closest I got was only 6 years after release, so never.
>>11461539ima be honest i didnt even like blisters back then. i hated ruining the art on the package. though i enjoyed reading the packagebacks when they were more than just shit in 10 languages
>>11461549>i hated ruining the art on the package.I'm too monkey brained for that
Tear open
Get goodies
>>11461517My first Transformers toys was getting the Go-Bot versions of Soundwave and Ironhide. RIP I miss those little fuckers.
>>11461506Should I snag this set? Are they fun to transform and mess with? At first the colors and squat train mode for prime didn't click with me but I have been warning up to it. I have a 3p ver of both characters but they are fiddly to mess with.
Trying to decide if I am really liking them now or just wanting to get a new toy and also add to my optimus prime collection.
>>11461542>You wouldnt by chance have a tryp would you?I own the original one, got him half a year before Omega. Both of them appeared randomly in a local toy shop years after release.
>and be able to give us a sense of size between the two please, or just show off your titan lineupLuckily enough they're next to each other. Trypticon's big tail makes fitting him in any display a pain.
I'm thinking of separating them by faction when I get my next Decepticon Titan (should be easy to tell wich one due to a certain little shit in my pic that I bought this year for way too much), with the two ships on each end of the cabinet.
>>11461567Was Nemesis the overpriced one?
>>11461567Ah, excellent anon, thank you. That's a rad display, and a sturdy cabinet top.
>nemesis missed her twice on ebay recently, I'm still bitter but digging the lineup all the same
>lego optimus very neat
>>11461573No hes probably referring to Scorponokโs Weaponizer
>>11461573>Was Nemesis the overpriced one?No, no. I'm not talking about a Titan (called him a "little shit" after all), but a guy there that points out wich Decepticon Titan I'm going to buy next.
>>11461599>No hes probably referring to Scorponokโs WeaponizerCorrect!
>>11461593Thanks anon. Would have never imagined having a bunch of Titans in my collection. I started with The Ark because it had a discount on Amazon and I liked the novelty of a transforming Ark and Teletraan, then Trypticon and Omega Supreme appeared for whatever reason in my city when barely any Transformer does, then Megalo Convoy was less than 90 euros on Amazon... And then I waited for the Nemesis to be discounted too but never happened and was starting to be sold out everywhere, so I had to pay full price.
Also own Encore Fortress Maximus, but that's displayed somewhere else.
>>11461259You should probably just superglue it. If you disassemble the shoulder, check what's wrong and use the superglue to resculpt the problem area the parts should go back together no problem.
>>11461567Jealous of your nemesis.
>>11461640different guy sorry, I was just chiming in about this tamiya putty I'm hearing about. Wondering what's better for figure customizing.

Can't live without 'em
>>11461565Yeah man, I say go for it. Watch the video I posted
>>11461180 if you can't make up your mind. The Starscream is fun as heck to transform and I love both his modes, his vehicle is wild fun.
Im with you on Prime and the colors, felt a little too Happy Meal. But in person it looks a lot better and it grew on me real quick. Especially when I put him with other Primes.
It's a great set of figures for its price. Both feel real premium. The only true issue is the difficult nature of connecting the Prime legs in vehicle mode, but it doesn't ruin the figure, just makes an otherwise smooth transformation a bit fiddly.
>>11461565>add to my optimus prime collection.I know that feeling. Still mad I didn't have the money to buy the huge Legacy Armada Prime when it came out
>>11461681What a narcissistic cunt.
>>11461611It's a fine collection anon, really cool to see them stacked up with eachother and still standing out and enjoyed. I got my first titan this year and Im still in awe of it, just have it standing out watching stuff with me half the time and looking imposing. Truly a king Tryp approved collection you have there
I need a nigger foot chest to store my new blankets
>>11461730Uh oh 'schettios!
>>11461730Even a wop one is fine. You can make blankets smaller by folding them correctly.

>>11461699Indeed, I was speaking from experience.
>>11461704so fuckin true. but we have a job to do, and regardless of what Ruth Bader Ginsburg thinks, we have to do it. For their sake, not just for ours.
yknow I do think it's funny the two girls we had on Beast Wars were both such feisty tomboys, like those are fun and all, but they still melted with their respective men and that was sweet and adorable and it makes a little LESS good to be around every time I think of how we'll never get that on TV again.

>>11461567Is that Optimus Prime made of Legos?
>>11461347The key to this would be to release BW reissues people actually want. Imagine with the insane amount of figures in that library, Hasbro gives us Retrax and Wolfang.
They could rerelease shit like TMCheetor, or Tripredicus, Torca, Bone Crusher, just... fucking Retrax.
>>11461762>Imagine with the insane amount of figures in that library, Hasbro gives us Retrax and Wolfang.Prolly the only ones they had left.
and Retrax is still misassembled

Ended up taking the boxes back to the office again
>The fattest guy has the best articulation
Interesting
Well the good news is that the paint are good. The previous two the paint got a bit sloppy with windows but at least the faces are good.
I really wish there is a better way to deal with the trailer
Couldn't they at least adding some kind of pulled down leg so the thing can stay up straight rather than falling on the ground
I just need Crasher, and for Hasbro to get off their fat asses to make Powerglider for the Bad Boy redeco.
>>11461762>They could rerelease shit like TMCheetor, or Tripredicus, Torca, Bone CrusherAfter the quality of both the Retrax and Wolfang reissues, I'm fairly confident that anything else they rereleased would be equally degraded. I'm still pissed my poor Wolfang can't hold his own weapons because the pegs that are supposed to hold his elbows together are virtually non-existent; that's not even mentioning all the missing paint details.
>>11461758They released a Lego Optimus a while ago. And a Bumblebee more recently.
>>11461567I hope they reprint the Nemesis soon. I missed out on that shit and want it to go with my Ark.

Scrapheap is Cy-Kill, Blitzwing is there until I get an Overcharge for Leader-1, and the Fallen from the Bayformers film looks like The Evil One. So much so they retconned The Evil One to be just another incarnation of Megatronus. Checkout this ugly bastard
>>11461802Why is it Egyptian?
>>11461804Egyptians are cool looking. Look how many Mummy movies they made.
>>11461804>The Evil One landed on planet Earth, on the Nazca Plains in Peru, where the ancient human civilizations he came into contact with believed him to be god. He was a source of inspiration for many cultures, his physical appearance particularly influencing the aesthetics of ancient Egyptian, and at some point, he came to truly believe what they said about him: that he was a god, whose divinity had been denied by his contemporaries on GoBotron. Also the "Stargate" aesthetic is cool as hell.

Maybe the damages were made when the plastic was still hot and soft?

>>11461936>hollow mostlyOf course he's hollow - what were you expecting? He turns into a base - his legs split open to become a bunch of ramps and platforms, and his entire chest is a command tower for Hot Rod to sit in. How else are they supposed to pull that off?

>>11461931Oh shit, mine just came in today. I gotta ask though, is Hot Rod just not able to sit in his chest compartment AND have the chest close? Feels like a bit of a useless feature without being able to close as a sort of cockpit.
uk and possibly some euronons, staraction, indemand and apparently kapow (who are asleep at the wheel and havent put them up at the timing of writing) have some pretty good reissue pre-orders up if you havent seen or heard.

>>11462158Nah, titan is too big for them, even these new "small titans", they're meant to pair with micromasters, commander is big enough for that.
ah okay, found the information on (ehh) Reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer40k/comments/l6dzk9/looking_to_mod_your_minis_with/ if anyone is curious about these compounds too.
Yeah NOT something you'd be using to fix broken areas on transformers, this is for making new shapes on a toy that lacks the shapes you want it to have. like fixing Lio Convoy's face for example.
>>11462297Milliput is sufficient it dries harder than plastic. I wouldn't use it to make a joint, but structural parts are fine.
Got my HasLab Omega Prime set in today. Was considering selling it, but I thought I might as well open it as if it was borked I'd just demand a refund. As it turns out, he was fine; I did the fix to be safe and he feels great now.
Haven't combined them into Omega Prime yet but I won't lie, I'm really glad I took a chance on them. They're fantastic. Magnus suffers a little bit from the design (it's a fundamentally wonky design that is difficult to make into a functional toy) but he's a trillion times more stable than the OG. And Prime? Genuinely fantastic figure.
I'm not excusing Hasbro fucking up the QC on the set, the fact it needs fixing is inexcusable and everyone whose Prime broke has every right to be mad, but I'm just glad it worked out OK for me in the end.
>>11462350Did your Magnus arrive white? Mine had several areas yellowed, mostly the arms, but thr truck area also had some issues.

>>11462592Anon, Victory Saber is huge as fuck, if anything the haslab is undersized. Regular Saber (without V-Star and Victory Leo shoes) is about as big as Optimus already, so that size difference between regular Prime and Star Convoy is fine.
AOTP Star Convoy came out at the wrong time in my opinion. All these cool micromaster features but he came out a whole four toylines after they discontinued micromasters

but yeah, I think if Hasbro actually pushed and marketed for a micromaster style toyline it wouldn't fail. micromasters had virtually no promotion, no tv show no nothing. they didn't even appear as generics in the wfc Netflix show. as far as I know the takara micromasters were more successful BECAUSE they had actual marketing.
>>11462616Siege Micromasters were just so halfassed
Even beyond the minimum effort they put into filling the first wave with the most boring designs Micromasters live and die by the playsets. And they just didn't commit to it when the other 75% of the line didn't care that micromasters existed in it
>>11462620I hope cyberworld is successful so hasbro has another go at micromasters. Cyberworld is already showing off playsets and stuff so..
>>11462592>I like the figure but Star Convoy is supposed to be only a bit taller than the previous leader (Dai Atlas), who was only a bit taller than Victory Saber.Victory Saber is taller than most combiners by a good deal, because Starsaber is combiner sized.
So yeah, this one is properly sized for the most part, if anything, a little undersized, because the Victory Saber we got is a little smaller than he should be.
I wish Hasbro would put individual accessories up for-sale on their site, like how ToyHax and Nonnef have. >>11462592>but Star Convoy is supposed to be only a bit taller than the previous leader (Dai Atlas), who was only a bit taller than Victory Saber.Star convoy has a micromaster hotrod, who has to be in scale with other micromasters
He couldve been shrunk maybe another 20% but anything smaller is hard to get that engineering on
He's already TWICE the relative size as the original.
In other words, you can make a star convoy that scales with star saber, or you can make one that scales with micromaster hotrod, but you can't do both.
Knee-high micromaster hotrod is just too tall
Not to mention i dunno WHERE you got how big dai atlas was in relation to star saber
In the manga he towers over him, and in the zone animation, star saber never stands up.
It's like rodimus vs ultra magnus.
Then on top of it i don't know where you got how big star convoy was compared to the rest, we've only seen him next to sixliner, sky Garry, super megatron, and grandus
Best i can figure, you're guessing that sky Garry is about star saber size so grandus is about dai atlas size so star convoy must be a head taller than that?
But that's a ton of assumptions
>>11462705>the shipping is prohibitively high for small items like that. With all due respect, I buy off ToyHax in bulk orders quite a lot and the most I was charged was $7 shipping for a large bag of 5mm accessories (14 rifles and 2 pistols). >>11462729I've never wanted head so badly

>>11462729>"But that the dread of something after death,The undiscovered country, from whose bourn no traveller returns..."

>>11462706>because that's how japanese worksNo, it's because "carry" for a transport vehicle was a copyrighted name at the time, (suzuki carry) so they made it "garry" instead, which was common.
It's like McRonalds instead or McDonald's or Starschmucks instead or Starbucks
Shield-D-Prime is up on HLJ, TFSource, and Tokullectibles. HLJ seems like the best of the three for price and release window.
>>11462761If I wanted to get just one average rifle I'd pay about $6 plus $4 shipping. I'll buy around three weapons and four decal sheets every order. You're right in that it's better to buy in volume to justify that initial higher shipping cost, but $10 for a replacement gun or some null rays isn't outrageous.
I have a dilemma. I like Superion and I sort of want AOTP Superion, but I really don't give a shit about the individual aerialbots.

The lego ass arms and legs really bug me. The Alt mode is so lacking too
It's like yea he's better in poseablity and articulation but at the cost of everything else
Also BBTS just tagged me for Silverbolt and I don't know man. I'm really on wanting to cancel
>>11463310You sound like a chink or jeet
Did anyone get commander Silverbolt? AI won't ask to disassemble the shoulder joint for Superion, but did they make it just like Menasor? The joint on Menasor was way too simple, just a pin connecting to a gear that wasn't properly secure to anything, meaning that the moment you move the shoulder the gear would move a bit, before the shoulder. In time, I can see thr menasor shoulder just giving way due to how they made it.
>>11463314despite the alt mode being boring holy shit does it compress well. its one of the cleanest transforming planes I've ever seen. (that isn't third party)
>>11463348Oh for sure
It cleanly tucks away, folds in and SECURE fits
>>11463349>Can Scramble City possiblyOkay wait a minute
>>11463349Man Superionโs frame is so fucking ugly, I hope they retool it enough for the inevitable toy deco gift set
>Uh, bro? I think we might be completely slagged...
>>11463355Cannot foot as leg, but you can switch same kind of limb.
>>11463187Looks pretty masculine to me, dude. Considering who actually drew this, you can guarantee he would have "prettied up" the design a bit and added some curves if the character was intended to be female - especially the thighs and hips.
>>11463349I know the frame parts are similar and can be swapped, but I want to know if they improved the joint in any way.
>>11463222that's the problem with 3p kits. They are just not great plastic. When it's a gun or a head or something, it doesn't matter. but...
>>11463359>>11463371>>11463378Part of me ALMOST liked the Frame at first
But as I messed with it it's awful articulation, clunky, Menasor Frame damaged parts and it NEEDS upgrades
And the entire "Two Members hiding on the back of the legs" is such an insult
Why even buy a full team? 2 get hidden entirely anyways
At least Stunticons had unique molds each almost
Aerialbots is 2 of the limbs just get repaints with no touch ups
>>11463312I take it back. He is not cooler. Putting this upgrade kit on was the single worst TF experience I've ever had. I couldn't even put the arm covers on, as they snapped when I slid terrormander's crotch in. He's also LESS stable than stock somehow. I with nothing but failure and death to the people at Transform Dream Wave.
>>11462829Prime is not possessed, that's a dupe misleading the group from finding the real corpse of Prime
& besides, that's a combiner made from 6 dudes, he is tall by default
>>11462924I think that's unlikely for Galvatron, they're here story purposes
Same way I think about the minibots, their toy look w/ movable limbs is how the artist always draw g1 characters (fitting that he was the concept artist for ML Convoy)
>>11462937>>11462934>>11463208That's not Bluebolts, he's named Deerstalker ใใฃใขในใใผใซใผ (& yes, it's after Sherlock Homes' hat), also he's a detective
>>11463415T R U E
I had way to frustrating of a time figuring it out but then it was fine once it popped on
He felt great except the chest untabs a lot
>>11462415Iโm jealous and hate you anon but can I come over to play with your grandus Iโll bring my micromasters with me
>this isnโt all of my little frens either thereโs about 20 missing
>>11460746 (OP)why are two general threads still up?
>>11463485we have a troll that makes new threads
i just checked, there's actually five, with two of them still bumping . Thankfully, nobody is actually using them, or the other one that's at like 360 posts. But you can bet he will later, especially if someone else makes the next thread.
I've got 4 of the Devastator bots coming from bbts. How many bots are there going to be total? The packaging on this one states 2/6
>>11463535While this one says 3/5
>>11463535>>114635376 bots, 5 releases. 2 deluxes, 2 voagers, 1 commander set.
>>11463349Let's be clear here, none of the parts between the frames are shared, but they have the exact same engineering. That explains why parts can fit the way they should. I question if the Toyhax Motormaster decals have stickers to color the leg panels...
>>11463414>And the entire "Two Members hiding on the back of the legs" is such an insultI just flip the legs around so the bots are on the front. Looks better IMO.
Hold on a sec, who owns both the crappy Legends LG-EX God Ginrai Set and the MPG Super Ginrai? I don't know about you, but I have been thinking for a while of displaying Titan Masters on the MPG Super Ginrai's base, since that base is the basis for the main Autobot base in the show, followed by Overlord's own base mode being the default Decepticon base.
https://news.tfw2005.com/2025/06/20/rumor-missing-link-ironhide-ratchet-decepticon-coming-540289
>Missing Link Ratchet/Ironhide
Erm...will they keep them headless?
>>11463537Thank, anon. Two more releases to go then?
>>11463278it's lower than BBTS had, but BBTS lowered theirs
like i was just accusing them of.
>>11463569they'll just release a second set with whatever one they dont do like bumblebee and cliffjumper
>>11463569>Ironhide next rather than Prowl, Jazz or literally anybody elseWhy?
>>11463587The whole point of Missing Link is doing G1 toys with modern articulation. Ironhide/Ratchet has one of the weirdest G1 toys.
>>11463587So they can do Ratchet too.
In that same vein, I wouldn't be surprised if the Con is Starscream so they can churn out Thundercracker and Skywarp.
>>11463588But if the goal is to recreate the toy as close as possible, wouldn't that mean no heads?
>>11463414Why is it insult? It's what the toys did.
>>11463591that's not the ENTIRE point.
they have improvements to them, things that fix some of the dumbest parts of the original. missing like Optimus's hands fold away so he doesn't have to plug them in (er... right? someone correct me) for example. what they're not doing is changing proportions or sizes, though if they get to Beast Wars, I hope they do just that. and other stuff.
so the question here is, just how much of Ironhide can you change and it's still missing link ironhide?. where would you even put elbows or knees? will he beable to detach from the van body? will he have a face sticker on his seat, or a head that looks like the face sticker? maybe optional?
>>11463596>Optimus's hands fold away so he doesn't have to plug them in (er... right? someone correct me)Yeah, they did.
>>11463600okay so yeah. it's taking out the clunky parts. and so the crux of this is, what do you do with a guy whose entire toy identity is being kind of ridicks? he's not a humanoid robot, he's a van that transforms into a battle platform. yeah it has hands but they don't even have gun holes, the guns are on the "chest" and the bottom of the van that folded out into like a skateboard.. what's more, this is now an immobile battle platform, as the rear fenders have rotated, but if those are 'feet' then they are straddling a little.. exercise-machine that also has a support for the chest gun. so basically this is why Diaclone should have stayed Diacclone.
Which do you think came first?
The one storied to be the first created by God in his image?
Or the one made of rocks that has a big club?
>>11463591In all probality yes, they won't have heads. And that's interesting.
I get the blokees hype now. Hasbro, hot rod classic class blokee when?
seriously though, these things are really fun.
>>11463558>I question if the Toyhax Motormaster decals have stickers to color the leg panels...Not really, just a bit
>>11463558>>11463621They probably took into account that if someone's going to add labels to a complete Menasor (like $70 in labels), they'll also probably have sprung for the DNA kit and the leg mount kit also.
I was going to post my reviews on Hearts of Steel Starscream and Optimus Prime, but this guy showed up and I've been fiddling with him for most of the afternoon, so I'll do him instead; I can still review the HoS guys later if people are interested.
Anyway, Star Optimus Prime (AKA the Thirteenth Prime). First, I want to point out that his chest windows were perfectly fine - no misassembly. I've had no issues with him - everything is nice and tight and locks into place as intended, with no defects to note. His legs are indeed hollow, but it's by design - they open up into segments for his base mode and serve as storage for all of his blast effects and accessories when they're not in use; it has no bearing on how solid he is in robot mode and was a thing even on the original toy, so it's a non-issue.
He comes with a slew of accessories - two small turrets that plug into his shoulders and can move up and down, his big blaster, a smaller gun that unfolds into a turret for Hot Rod to use, Hot Rod himself, a 'hilt' that can combine with blast effects to create an energy 'sword', an MT-13 Micro Trailer that makes a nice stand-in for Roller and can be turned into a turret, and a LOT of blast effects. He also includes a Zodiac Orb, as well as a blue Energon bullet that seems to serve no purpose, cannot attach to any pegs or ports on Prime nor the barrels of either gun, and is completely absent from the instruction manual. It seems it fits into a slot on the right side of Prime's big gun, but that's about it. The sword hilt and both guns can all be combined together to form a slightly longer gun, which is apparently supposed to be his 'Big Bang Cannon' from the previous (horrible looking) Generations Selects release of this guy. Incidentally, the sword hilt doubles as a Matrix holder, and is apparently designed so you can plug the Zodiac Orb on top, the Silver Matrix from the GS release on the front (in the Matrix-shaped slot), and then plug the whole thing into his chest.
>>11463631Vehicle mode. 80% of his transformation is just getting his arms in place; the rest is folding the wheels out of his chest and tucking the head in, spinning the torso around, and flipping up some panels to hold it in place. Prime's hand transformation is unusual, and I'm not entirely sure I like it, but it does the job.
I like that this is one Prime that can become a literal convoy, having Hot Rod and the Micro Trailer tagging along with him; alternately, you can store Hot Rod in the trailer, then the trailer inside Prime's trailer/right leg (again, keeping his blast effects in his left one), letting you store all of his components nice and neatly. His big gun and little gun both attach to the top, and the shoulder turrets just spin around atop the cab.
He rolls along with no issue, but he's basically a giant brick - since his 'trailer' is just his legs, there's no hitch between it and the cab, meaning no separating the two or having it bend when he turns like an actual trailer would.
>>11463634Base mode. It's actually far less involved than it looks - it's just Prime in robot mode, sitting down with his torso bent to the side; the pads with his trailer treads on them detach and reattach to the other side to make a platform that you can mount the small gun/turret to. This platform has a neat feature - the little blue wheel to the far right can be spun to rotate the turret around. Hot Rod can still mount it, but I find that Prime's left arm gets in the way; apparently, the original toy had a bit mode clearance in that area. The platform also features two A.I.R. Lock ramps, so you can connect him to other facilities.
Prime's legs open up to form two bays with little ramps on them, and you can convert the Micro Trailer into its turret mode and plug it securely to the side as a gun emplacement. Prime's head folds down to hide his face (something the old toy couldn't do), and you can fan his 'horns' out and attach blast effects to them if you want. His chest opens up to make a command center, and Hot Rod can squeeze inside - kinda. Because of how long his legs are, he doesn't fit all the way inside unless you fold his legs up awkwardly, and while you CAN close the hatch, you have to leave the wheels sticking out.
The base mode has plenty of ports around that you can plug Weaponizer parts into to help fill things out with, which is also neat, but he also has plenty of firepower as-is.
He's a little short for a Titan, but I like him - something about his base mode feels more playset-like than previous Titans, and I've been having fun plugging the Botropolis facilities into him and connecting him to Skylynx.
>>11463635from what I'm hearing, this is the ultimate micromaster base hasbro would make in the modern era. released approximately five years too late.
>>11463613that's a very good point
>>11463613My autism is flaring up, and I need to state the rock guys aren't Cybertronian.
>>11463621there's more in the Wildrider and Breakdown sets for the leg panels.
>>11463644So it is older than the spawn of Primus.
>>11463651Potentially. Whatever story they had for them they never got around to telling it.
man, blokees classic class optimus is some of the best 10 dollars i've spent on transformers. Why would you ever buy a shitty 10 dollar one step changer when you could get a nontransforming perfect action figure? Hasbro should just pad out the cheap stuff with blokees from now on.
It's a shame Snowcat was designed a decade after Earthforce. He would've been a great foil to Grimlock's antics. Plus where else is the guy gonna go besides somewhere really, really cold?
>>11463660>Why would you ever buy a shitty 10 dollar one step changer when you could get a nontransforming perfect action figure?Because one still retains the gimmick the franchise is named after while the other doesn't.
>>11463690you can fake approximations of some jet vehicle modes with blokees & devastator combining is technically transforming (which is why hasbro won't allow the devastator combination kit to be sold in the US by blokees)
but yeah I get it. If one step changers were more like BW basic class figures maybe they'd be better. (aka legs and arms on ball joints)
So what are the chances we finally get another Predacon in the MP line after Rattrap?

Got my RID car brothers and Wedge set up with HasLab Prime and Magnus. Feels good, man.
I bought a used Impactor on eBay. He was a bit dusty, but I gave him a quick brush down and he looks good now.
>The story of Star Convoy, "The Battlestars", has a "star" theme. The original title is "Transformers Great Galactic Star Cluster", which also includes the meaning of the original convoy = fleet. On the other hand, Super Megatron is a star giant. In the first draft, the new hero "Big Bang" was the third convoy. It might be interesting to add it to the prologue of the original story.
Always interesting to see more unused concepts from so long ago.

Has anybody dipped their toes into TakaraTomy's other, non-Transformers robot toys? Shinkalion and Jobraver have parts-forming across the board, but in the same vein as the -izers. Really only downside is if you have three or four figures from either line you don't need to get any more besides that because there's very little variation in the transformations at all outside of making combos.
Hades Destroy Form is probably the coolest of the Shinkalion figures https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myZjJcMHcYQ
>>11463876>>11464086It's a result of 3d modelling
They port parts from another figure, sometimes one that's cancelled, and they make some adjustments to work for the new toy.

>>11464471The way I see it, pretty paint on a turd mold doesn't make it any less of a turd
That's basically this entire dramatic capture series really, just turd after turd but with better paint. The reflector trio might be the only good thing to come out of it, but even they're bundled with 40 dollars of something I would sooner throw into the bin than give to someone else for free
>>11464507You can probably flip the painted turd on ebay for a profit.

So now I've got Star Convoy, the ultimate Micromaster base (and he really is a big base, lots of room for micros). Tons of air locks too (stupid name for base ports). But there's no bases to connect with him, and no micromasters on the market. "Micromaster" Rodimus isn't a micromaster at all, he's a core figure.

>>11464679he's actually based on scorponok, hence the name. Basically you remold the parts, and flip his scorpion mode upside down. You can even see the 3 exhaust ports on each side of his chest that tips it off.
Scorps tail becomes the back end of the boat, with those 3 jets. The boat deck replaces the scorpion legs, which would be closed in ship mode and open in bot mode (instead of open in scorp mode and closed in bot mode). His pincher hands and forarms would be replaced with one solid piece for the boat kibble, and a smaller arm would flip down.
Majin's tails would have to be added, and the amount of money it'd take to retool it is probably why we didn't get a toy back in the day.

Honestly both optimus and megatron from energon and cybertron should be commanders. Especially if they keep savage/dark claw mode as a possibility.
