Anyone placing orders for the current round of web exclusives? Pricing is kinda nuts; I understand that suits like the Asshimar and Eyes Gundam are larger/more gimmicky than your average MS, but man, there's still some sticker shock. It makes the third party offerings even more appealing in my eyes.

I may still pick up two Asshimars (I can't resist a gerwalk capable MS...), but I think everything else will be a pass for me.
Anonymous No.11469613 >>11469631 >>11470128 >>11470146 >>11470824
And with GQuuuuuuX's conclusion, do you feel more/less compelled to pick up the Metal RDs? I thought the series was fun overall and the MS design was neat to see in motion (the commander's mobile armor thing was especially cool in action), I don't feel much desire to pick up any figures from the show. Designs didn't immediately grab me and the series was too brief to form any real attachment to the main MS (particularly suits like GFreD).

I felt really tempted to pick up a preorder of the GQX after the finale, but I think I'll wait for the eventual 1/100 kit. I'd like for it to go with my UC MGs instead of the weird scale MRDs usually come in.
Anonymous No.11469684
>>11469611
Yeah I think the pricing is just too high. I don't know how this even happens outside of plain greed. The yen has been fairly stable for a while, albeit low, but we were already seeing modest price increases. Maybe sales were dropping off and now they want to see what they can squeeze out of the super fans, but 48k for a mostly-normal release is just too much when 2 years ago it was 58k for the GN Arms, something twice the size that wasn't going to get it's mold re-used.

16.5k for the Asshimar also seems crazy but Hyaku-Shiki was just 16.5k as well. The Zeta's gonna be in that same range, I feel it in my bones. These were the prices of fully painted and decaled MRDs not too long ago, and those have the prices of what MBs were not that long ago either!

I might actually be tapping out of these lines, I told myself I'd grab Kyrios and Virtue MBs to finish the S1 boys but by the time we get them we'll be looking at 60k prices. Or even ANIME Gundam 00 or Gundam Wing, RDs will be 15k for the barebones slop and 20k+ for anything with a feature.

I started with model kits for the price, came to RDs/MRDs/MBs when I had money, and now that I'm making over twice what I was in my early 20s I have to go back to model kits for the price. They're both great products but I'm not sure I think the extra bucks for the completed figures is worth it anymore.

I'm happy, especially considering how metal builds are now double the price or even higher, but I also feel a bit ripped off as you can find the original X-1 release for less than 20k yen

Wonder if I should try to go and complete the trio with the X-3, Crossbones are my favorite gundam bu the for latter the inclusion of the useless chunk od the divinidad wreck just to inflate the price always felt insulting to me

They want to grow their global consumer base but do everything in their power to sabotage it. Failed releases and shit like Gundam Universe. The metaverse bullshit. The absolutely braindead conversion rates? None of it makes any sense whatsoever. They'll get on stage at their yearly events and talk about how the non-domestic market is growing fast and talk about how shows like IBO and WFM were made with a new, wider audience in mind, but then make it as hard as possible for their international operations to succeed, then they shutter or downsize them and fuck up distribution. Like the cancelled MG The-O release in NA. Stores sold out pre-orders AFTER the tariff bullshit was already known, and then all of the sudden the entire NA distribution is canceled. The only real problem will be if the goodsmile stands plug into the RDs as I've found they tend to be smaller than the Tamashii act ones for the holes.

I've used Tamashii Act 4 ones with no problem, found I can usually get two on a stage quite easily in flying positions due to the multiple options of where you can place the arms.
You could even get a trio on there if you use longer arms to work with the height.

Not sure how easy they are to get but the Tamashii combination act stands are quite good for stands with a smaller footprint.

>I don't like the color scheme
Im the opposite, I ordered it because of the color scheme. I thought the og lancelot was generic looking (obviously doesnt mean bad, just in the territory of non offensive) but im a sucker for dark knight. Anything else I should know about lancelot when messing with it?

Oh also, what did you mean by that? I know about the extra evil part swap but I dont know about the weapon loadout, what extra weapons does it have outside of that skull sword?

It's really bad luck too, I have the white ninja from cangdao too and it arrived fine, despite the lack of protections. I wanted to spend a lot of time posing the both of them together fighting. At least gundamit after sales service is good, I'll eventually be getting a full refund as soon as somebody buys it from the sales listing they made
>he isn't a sucker for white knights
As for what to look for, I don't think there's anything major. I don't remember scratching it easily or accidentally scratching it at all, and the parts don't rub on each other a lot. The one thing that bothers me is that in order to have the shoulders lit up they have to be in "open" mode, there's no on/off button like for the head led
>what extra weapons does it have outside of that skull sword?
The lighter spear is once of them. That and the skull sword, but since that one has a blade you can put on top of it and its own backpack to power it up I'd say it's almost 3 new weapons. The light spear is really cool, I wish more robots had spears in general. Also moshow figures tend to have a lot of plasticizer on them

be careful when you insert the sword into the shield, the fit is very tight and you may scratch the blade when wanting to pull it out
I suspect that issue was not addressed in the new black color scheme

Yeah...I was also the one who complained that noone warned me about that because I wouldve skipped it if I knew.
>be careful when you insert the sword into the shield,
I may just oil up the slot if anything than, I know about the skull sword gimmick but I rather not risk scratched paint. Also goddamn I saw the Amplified blue eyes last week and thought it was big but the lancelot is so much bigger.

It's just a massive kick in the balls because this exact same figure was 26-27k yen back in 2022. Now it's an extra $100 and a big ol go-fuck-yourself for an added re-used accessory.

Feels like I may as well be buying from some 3rd party Ebay reseller at this price.

I just need 00 to complete the set. I have 01 and 02 and I'll probably never buy another MB after this. Have been waiting for this eventual re-issue(hoping more for that alt-color) and they finally did it... just in the most greedy-cunt way imaginable.

This kinda shit is why I've mostly moved onto Chinese toy companies.

Look for unopened pre owned ones when it releases. I bought a lot of MBs and other p bandai stuff on amiami pre owned category. Got some problems with my last one, sent it back and got a replacement.

Just the spear and a slightly different base/stand. It's pretty scummy that the OG release was mass-retail and they're up-charging the re-issue as an exclusive despite changing almost nothing about it.

They aren't selling instantly like they used to. I watched last bandai night, 01 only sold out after like an hour or more. Crazy price-hikes on re-issues that were once MUCH cheaper are cooling the demand.

I dunno if brand new MBs still instasell-out or not, but these ones aren't.
