Isn't the license potentially swapping hands unrelated to Daima? I don't remember the exact details, but quite a few anons posted about it a while back saying it *might* cause Bandai to lose the license for making figures.

Also, regarding the 'millions' lost, Bandai is likely contractually obligated to do a marketing/merch push for new content. No one was loving Star Wars' Acolyte series...but that didn't stop Hasbro from pumping out figures for it. People act like Bandai was just spitefully putting out these figures because they wanted to, but I suspect there was some form of contractual mandate like there was with Superhero that forced them to pivot. All that being said, I wasn't aware Bandai posted the success (or failure) of individual releases or lines...so I still think saying Daima lost them millions is a little extreme. (Though if you link that report, happy be proven wrong.) It may have failed from the merch front, but the Anime was forgettable, but generally well received.

When they annoucned the price on this guy I was honestly shocked the only raised it to $220(original being 180). I was expecting $260. Guess that explains it. Honestly though this is one of the last few existing figures I wanted and the paint looks better on this compared to the original. The stand looks shittier, but from what I remember it's not mandatory by any means. And I probably wasn't going to display the Yajirobe piece or him holding a half inch Goku in his hand. I think P-Bandai (with few exceptions) is a universal thing. The only two figures I can think of that switched things up were:
>Lunch - P-Bandai in Japan...but then either never got a US release or they just did a general release for that

Japan/China tends to get releases in hand earlier, but I think everything is still released to the masses via P-Bandai regardless of location.
