I think the reason discussion stops once the Marvel gens stop bumping is more nefarious than anyone has suggested thus far. I believe toy companies have hype bots prowling this gen and perhaps others and for whatever reason they stop when the threads can no longer be bumped.

I was only here for Shuma and Juggernaut. Only Marvel figures I own are the revo's, which have their own thread and people don't seem to talk about here. Thus thread is mostly the cheaper Hasbro stuff that doesn't hold a candle to the other figures out there, so not much of interest to me. I mean, I'm this case, I do say SHF is a definite upgrade from your average domestic figure. So if you're going from Marvel Legends to SHF as your very first import, it will feel as such. I certainly know the first SHF I got, my first real import, felt leagues higher in quality than what I was used to. But when compared to other imports, Mafex, Amazing Yamahuchi, hell, even figma are higher quality than SHFs. They're the Hasbro of the east, and that's fine. I'm not going to lie and to pretend I don't have a massive collection of DBZ SHFs and other figures. Hell, I have the new Yami Yugi and Char on pre order. I'm not talking about directly comparing Bandai's Figuarts to MLs. I'm saying in terms of quality, comparing SHFs to other imports, is like comparing MLs to other domestic lines. They're fine, but they're really the bare minimum of what each respective market should be doing in terms of figures. When compared directly to MLs, of course SHFs are better, I say so in the very post you replied to. But that's comparing apples and oranges tbqh. When doing direct, like for like comparisons, MLs are the bare minimum in quality that I look for in a domestic toy. And for imports, the same is said for SHFs. If I'm buying an import it should get at least, bare minimum, the same quality as a SHF.

I think the quality for what you get is fine. They still want to sell these things in the kids toys aisle so they still have to follow the safety standards and make the plastic gummier and the accessories not pointy. I'm fine with that tbqh. If they were to move to a higher price point, they wouldn't be able to do the more niche characters. I mean when were we ever going to get a Rom or Crystar outside of ML? No other company that is at a higher price point and has the license will touch those characters.

Sure, but the a,punt of characters in Dragon Ball vs the amount of characters/costumes in Marvel is aa big difference. Bandai is digging at the bottom of the barrel in terms of characters to make figures of at this point, resorting to characters from games no one actually played, or like you said, fucking Kui who appeared in 3 pages. I'm currently looking at three ML figures of him.

1)BAF Monster Venom - The one with the Cletus head, I like the "weapons" he comes with. But the veins are flat.

2)Absolute Carnage with BAF Venompool - Really cool popping veins molded into the figure but only comes with alternate head, no cool tentacles to mess around with.

3)LTBC Movie version - Love the tentacles but the body type seems off? Doesn't have the broad shoulders the Figuarts has.

It was from Funly. I've gotten three figures from them now, Wolverine, Anti Venom, and Spider-Ben. Anti Venom was easily the best, be it due to it being a new paintjob/character and it being the best quality of the three I got. Brown Suit Wolvie was fine, definitely not as good as a legit Mafex, but definitely acceptable for the sub $20 I paid for him. Spider-Ben ended up being the most expensive and the shittiest in terms of quality. Not quite as bad as some older bootlegs I've gotten in years past, but not really worth the almost $30 or so he cost. He's on my shelf since I missed the reissue of the legit figure, but I do also have the most recent ML which I think is pretty good, although to be fair, I did get the ML for free from Hasbro due to having an issue with some other figure I bought and calling up and complaining about it.

I've been opening up to buy loose lately, bought a loose juggernaut baf rogue and dagger 2 days ago, and they were fine but...
HOWEVER
the dagger I bought had yellowish marks all over her body, especially in her arms, had black stains and it felt "sticky"
Rogue was better but was a bit dusty, obviously cleansed both of them with water and soap and they got fixed, though dagger being fully white didn't get completely clean, same for rogue
Which leads to the second point, I don't want my figures to be jizzed by some fat degenerate greaser, that's one of the main reasons I don't like to buy loose
