>Searchable, Tagged Database For Marvel Legends Sorted By Year: https://figurelist.co/marvel-legends-checklistIs he too small for your collection?
>>11472350 (OP)I'm waiting for official confirmation. If hes 155mm i'll get him. Any smaller and its a pass. I already have the mafex.
>>11472353155 is still too short. He's 6'3 in canon he should be around the same size as the marvel legends
>>11472353SHF Street Fighter doesn't scale with Jada so I'm a tad confused as to what this post is trying to imply. Even at 155mm he's still gonna be too short for the rest of your collection.
>>11472370If cyclops ends up being 155mm heโll be around the same height as maximum spider-man.
>>11472382It'll still be too short. Also, not sure why everyone thinks SHF is going to cater to the scaling of other lines when they've literally never done that in the past. Seems like wishful thinking to me.
I think the reason discussion stops once the Marvel gens stop bumping is more nefarious than anyone has suggested thus far. I believe toy companies have hype bots prowling this gen and perhaps others and for whatever reason they stop when the threads can no longer be bumped.
Why is he called Slim if he is so muscular?
>>11472444Other threads don't have this issue. It's just the Marvel thread for some reason. It's really weird. Like the other guy in the previous thread said, I just keep the thread open in a tab to see whenever replies are made. There could be a lot of mobile posters though, they suck.
>>11472444I was only here for Shuma and Juggernaut. Only Marvel figures I own are the revo's, which have their own thread and people don't seem to talk about here. Thus thread is mostly the cheaper Hasbro stuff that doesn't hold a candle to the other figures out there, so not much of interest to me. The only reason I am picking up Shuma and Juggy is because they're just never getting better quality figures than these most likely.
>>11472353>>11472370>>11472382Does it scale with the Storm Arena SF line?
>>11472491Not the placeholder height, but if it's 155 it will be slightly taller than ryu and ken.
At this point why even buy SHF anymore?
>>11472462Slim was his actual first name back when Stan Lee was writing x-men.
>>11472512Perfectly scaled
>>11472536There's still a widespread mentality that higher price means better product so there are people who will always buy so they can brag about how they can afford it. This is why they get extremely defensive if you point out any flaws in the product and assume you must be either poor or some kind of diehard defended of the lesser product.
>>11472553I mean, I'm this case, I do say SHF is a definite upgrade from your average domestic figure. So if you're going from Marvel Legends to SHF as your very first import, it will feel as such. I certainly know the first SHF I got, my first real import, felt leagues higher in quality than what I was used to. But when compared to other imports, Mafex, Amazing Yamahuchi, hell, even figma are higher quality than SHFs. They're the Hasbro of the east, and that's fine. I'm not going to lie and to pretend I don't have a massive collection of DBZ SHFs and other figures. Hell, I have the new Yami Yugi and Char on pre order. Looking at the OP, the Mafex still looks better, even if the SHF is stylized after the game. The Mafex just looks more premium.
>>11472553Honestly I've started to realize if a figure has some glaring flaw like height issues or accesories then I just won't buy it and will wait for an eventual re-release with whatever that issue is fixed.
>>11472554as a european so being as objective as possible marvel legends look a lot cheaper and lower quality than shf and i avoid shf because functionally they are dogshit for the most part
jade has better articulation and sculpts but they still look lower quality just in terms of aesthetics compared to shf which again is dogshit imho
>>11472554>>11472575i think marvel legends is more comparable to those bandai namco figures tbqh
What gets me about SHF is how hit or miss they are. Some of them are absolutely leagues above Hasbro but some of them are so mediocre that you wonder if it's even worth it paying more for something that's not much better than Hasbro slop.
kek now the marvel gen has to deal with the schizo, good luck!
>>11472580This seems like a more fair comparison. Mainline figuarts utilizes ball shoulders and waist, unlike hasblo still stuck with old articulation systems.
>>11472444Schizo shit, there are not enough people on this board for them to bother. On Instagram and reddit? Sure, but the retards who spam and argue here are just stupid and don't know how to pin the thread or sort by last reply.
>>11472580>>11472591I'm not talking about directly comparing Bandai's Figuarts to MLs. I'm saying in terms of quality, comparing SHFs to other imports, is like comparing MLs to other domestic lines. They're fine, but they're really the bare minimum of what each respective market should be doing in terms of figures. When compared directly to MLs, of course SHFs are better, I say so in the very post you replied to. But that's comparing apples and oranges tbqh. When doing direct, like for like comparisons, MLs are the bare minimum in quality that I look for in a domestic toy. And for imports, the same is said for SHFs. If I'm buying an import it should get at least, bare minimum, the same quality as a SHF.
>>11472700I think it's a huge problem domestic US figures are largely kind of ass outside of specific more expensive releases. I would much rather ML's be $35 and have Average Mainline SHF Goku quality, than be $24 and made of gummy ass plastic with dog shit accessories and hands.
Especally given ML's reuse so many parts it should be a crime to sell them for anything more than $15 max.
>>11472773>I think it's a huge problem domestic US figures are largely kind of ass outside of specific more expensive releases. I would much rather ML's be $35 and have Average Mainline SHF Goku quality, than be $24 and made of gummy ass plastic with dog shit accessories and hands.I think the quality for what you get is fine. They still want to sell these things in the kids toys aisle so they still have to follow the safety standards and make the plastic gummier and the accessories not pointy. I'm fine with that tbqh. If they were to move to a higher price point, they wouldn't be able to do the more niche characters. I mean when were we ever going to get a Rom or Crystar outside of ML? No other company that is at a higher price point and has the license will touch those characters.
The misaligned eye print is really irritating
>>11472874Is there any way people tend to fix this with say heavier black eye make up to make it look a bit better or does that tend to only make it look worse?
>>11472906Honestly, I'd just buy another and swap this one out for a return.
>>11472874and so are the lips
>>11472914Good luck finding that figure kek
>>11472914Iโd say just wait for the SHF.
>>11472935Yeah, wait for the SHF and see what kind of creature they turn the figure's crotch into
>>11472935Why put yourself through something as terrible as that?
>>11472444Kay. You should take your meds. The threads die because of the stupid fighting people like you cause.
>>11472874That's a bummer anon, sorry that happened. If it makes you feel any better, the Rogue I had on my shelf for years, the one from the old Juggernaut BaF wave, had terrible eye slop, to the point I've seen it reposted here as a meme before. I've since replaced it with 97 Rogue.
>>11472804>They still want to sell these things in the kids toys aisleKids aren't buying figures really though. It is, funny enough, a dying market. It's adult collectors keeping all of this stuff running now. Kids are unironically spending "their" (ie: their parents) cash on Fortnite, MTX in games, etc.
>can't do niche characters if they move to a higher price pointBullshit. The niche characters ARE the higher price points more often than not. Thats how most companies work, really. Look at SHF as an example. Goku's are usually cheap and everywhere, but if you want Kui, a Literally Who who existed for all of like 3 pages in the manga, it's going to cost you $60+.
And look at that, Shuma Gorath, a Literally Who, is already like $70 for the mainline of ML stuff.
Also those $35 Goku's are sold at the same Walmart's and Target's these ML's are, and are objectively better construction and accuracy than your average ML.
>>11473012>Kids aren't buying figures really though. It is, funny enough, a dying market. It's adult collectors keeping all of this stuff running now. Kids are unironically spending "their" (ie: their parents) cash on Fortnite, MTX in games, etc.Doesn't mean they don't want to try and keep that market. Also, the people making these decisions are massively out of touch boomers who don't necessarily live in the same reality as you and I. So you have to take their retarded decison making into account too.
>Bullshit. The niche characters ARE the higher price points more often than not. Thats how most companies work, really. Look at SHF as an example. Goku's are usually cheap and everywhere, but if you want Kui, a Literally Who who existed for all of like 3 pages in the manga, it's going to cost you $60+.Sure, but the a,punt of characters in Dragon Ball vs the amount of characters/costumes in Marvel is aa big difference. Bandai is digging at the bottom of the barrel in terms of characters to make figures of at this point, resorting to characters from games no one actually played, or like you said, fucking Kui who appeared in 3 pages. Meanwhile ML has been going on even longer under Hasbro than SHF Drsgon Ball, and they are still missing some big looks. I mean we still don't even have a New X-Men team with the black and yellow leather jackets.
>And look at that, Shuma Gorath, a Literally Who, is already like $70 for the mainline of ML stuff.I mean he's a massive figure, is completely unique and won't be reused unless it's for a recolor, has unique material, and unique articulation. Comparing him to a regular figure is kind of silly. By your logic SHFs are going to start all going to be $200 just because Bandai made Guru.
>Also those $35 Goku's are sold at the same Walmart's and
>>11473030>Bandai is digging at the bottom of the barrel in terms of characters to make figures of at this pointAnd yet still haven't made a good Cell, stopped using that fucking awful 4th form Freeza mold yet, and haven't made Kid Buu, or any of the movie villains but Broly, Cooler, etc etc. Still have barely made any of the new characters from the manga, and none of the villains unless they were in the awful anime. They haven't finished mining anything by a long shot.
Target's these ML's are, and are objectively better construction and accuracy than your average ML.
So what? those SHFs are only cheap to draw in newfags like you said. The reason they're so cheap is because the more expensive figures subsidize them. A Marvel line at $35 isn't going to be as big of an improvement as you'd think. If you want actual improvements that are noticable, you're going to have to spend regular, unsubsidized import pricing. That new Cyke is going to be $65 from Bandai. A $35 Marvel line from any domestic company is going to give you a figure with slightly more paint than an ML and an extra accessory or two, if that.
>>11473035The difference is unlike more unique molds, you can reuse most parts from your standard superhero. ML's are a mold reuse gold mine.
>>11473012>Also those $35 Goku's are sold at the same Walmart's and Target's these ML's are, and are objectively better construction and accuracy than your average ML.So what? those SHFs are only cheap to draw in newfags like you said. >>11473037Are you implying that Bandai has less reuse than Hasbro? Because my like six Gokus and Vegetas all on the same body from 2018 or earlier beg to differ.
>>11473041Yes. Because I collect Transformers too and no amount of Goku's will ever compare to Seeker recolors every time they drop a Seeker.
>>11473041main difference is bandai reuses molds for that specific character, unlike hasbro where they use the bucky cap for other characters.
>>11473047Lol, lmao even. Bandai is just as bad as Hasbro with their mold reuse.
>>11473050So does Hasbro. You don't see them using a Wolverine mold for Spider Man or a Vulcan mold for Miles Morales.
>>11473054>Bandai is just as bad as Hasbro with their mold reuse.Delusional. Hasbro is the king of recolors and mold reuse. ML is full of it, as is Transformers and more.
>>11473055Do you even collect SHFs? They're literally just as bad. I call Bandai the Hasbro of the east for a reason.
>>11473058and we call you the shf schizo of the pajeets
>>11473060What? I'm sorry that pointing out SHF reused molds too is causing you to start spouting nonsense, but it's the truth. Don't know why that's so upsetting to you. It's the reason both companies are able to produce the amount of figures they do.
>>11473012They can't sell niche characters for high price points in stores though. It only works with limited quantities online. Look what happened when McFarlane tried to put Connor Hawke and Hourman in physical Targets even at a normal price point for the line, they peg warmed eternally and are getting clearanced for 11 bucks
>>11473064Also this. Notice that it's only Goku and Vegeta that are at retail stores. And then the next level is regular online releases that are secondary characters like Krillin and Piccolo. You can find them at places like Barnes and Noble. Then you have the niche characters, Nail, Cui, Zarbon and Dodoria that are made to order, P-Bandai exclusives that are only available online and then skyrocket in price once pre orders close.
>>11473064As opposed to all of the thousands of peg warmer figures in...Every single line ever? Peg warmers will happen no matter what.
>>11473077Less so when you make the characters you know would have a hard time selling as made to order online exclusives. Have you used P-Bandai before? Because you better believe that some characters like Hulk, that will be more expensive due to their size, are going to be P-Bandai Exclusives.
>>11472914Store only had one, if I catch another restock on the site I'll grab it.
>>11472926>>11473007Yeah, ultimately it's not that big a deal in person, but it's frustrating for photos.
>>11472444While I do think that hype bots are a thing, I don't think they are posting in these threads. And if they are, then they are doing a bad job of hyping them up lol
>>11473098Maybe they are the opposite. Bots to demoralize people from buying certain products, presumably so they would buy different ones instead.
AUSfags, EB Games might get Gargantos early just like the Psylocke/Thanos 2-pack.
He shows up for preorder in the system with no price so they'll only ask for a $10 deposit.
Went and asked them about Cap/Venom and Wolv/SS as well but Gargantos is the only one that showed up in the system. Didnt ask about Juggs or WM/OR.
None of them show up on the website still
>>11472350 (OP)Cyclops being their first figure confirmes hes the main character of the series. The game went to shit when he wasnt included anymore
>>11473181I am shocked he isn't in MvC3. I didn't pay attention to 3, so you pointing that out was my first time noticing that. They didn't bring back Venom either it looks like. What bizarre omissions.
>>11473206There were supposed to be 8 more characters, including doc ock, but a tsunami hit the nips.
From the way some of you talk about SHFs it's like you've never owned one previously. How many of you are import virgins?
>>11473292Please don't try to defend that garbage. SHF are barely functional shells.
>>11472350 (OP)damn the shf looks like shit
>>11473332If they ditched the legends' proportions and were more like the sprite's it would have looked better.
>>11473292I have 2 shfs and theyre pretty nice but they're both from before the CrabCrotch era. I wouldn't buy any of the ugly things that have those weird looking, over-engineered crotches.
>>11473292Clearly the answer is no. I swear the retards here just spout literal bullshit they make up. The only guys that have imports are Kanji, NECA display fag, and like one or two other anons. Most of the posters on this thread can only afford one Marvel Legends every quarter, let alone imports.
Will you buy Figuarts Cyclops?
https://strawpoll.com/poy9kzeD2gJ
>>11473456That plain red open mouth tells you all you need to know about how much effort was put into this figure
>>11473477So it's only ok when Carnage has it?
>>11473477>only collects ML and never heard of face plates
>>11473484Its not ok when Carnage has it either, it looks ridiculous.
>>11473485It's a face plate and you need to put tampography of the inside of his mouth over the red part, anon. You dont just leave it barren. Thats lazy.
>shf defenders coming out of the woodwork angry that you dared criticize the cyclops figure
>poll on whether we're going to buy the cyclops figure doesn't have a single yes vote
>shf taking over every line
>schizo comes out saying shf is dead
>>11473456Nah. If I wanted an import of him I would've gotten the Mafex.
>>11473496Are you buying Cyclops?
>>11473502who isnt? I have my mafex but it doesn't capture bengus's art.
>>11473502I will and then later post comparison photos. Be warned though I pay for the cheapest available shipping so I wonโt get the figure right away.
>>11473559Disgusting poorfag
>>11473577Zoomer, in the early days of the internet, everything was free. You could not have imagined it. A wealth of gold and treasure. Now you want to pay top dollar for toys, shipping, everything. But posable plastic men will not bring you the happiness you desire.
Thoughts on Marvel Select Titanium Man?
>>11473712He's excellent as a big guy in the back or your Iron Man display, but is limited in terms of posing.
Everyone is looking to take advantage of you, to rip you off, to get their pound of flesh from your collecting.
It's time to say no more.
What's the best Carnage? or like the top 3?
>>11474016shf venom vs carnage is pretty awesome imo
>>11474024>Marvel Select Titanium ManCarnage is not supposed to be bigger than Venom. The movie screwed up.
>>11474029say what u want about his height/design. Itโs still a great Carnage Figure. and if u love the live action stuff its a no brainer. the most articulated & accessory packed carnage that i can remember besides the AY one but isnt that one really tiny?
I swear, they always fuck up Jubilee, making her look too bitchy
I swear, they can't stop fucking up Jubilee.
They always make her look too bitchy or cunty
>>11474024Yeah, he does look amazing, he is my ideal figure despite the height issue. I'm just looking at aftermarket prices and it's what I expected for a Figuarts. There's also a ton of fakes on ebay being sold from the us which is sus.
I'm currently looking at three ML figures of him.
1)BAF Monster Venom - The one with the Cletus head, I like the "weapons" he comes with. But the veins are flat.
2)Absolute Carnage with BAF Venompool - Really cool popping veins molded into the figure but only comes with alternate head, no cool tentacles to mess around with.
3)LTBC Movie version - Love the tentacles but the body type seems off? Doesn't have the broad shoulders the Figuarts has.
>>11474042She looks SASSY
>>11474042still better than every single hasbro attempt
>>11474042Her default should be a little smirk at least.

Blokees Marvel Rivals Venom and Spiderman

>>11473091I hate how they made her look like a 50year in the new cartoon. Gone are her full curly hair and the brightness in her eyes. And I will never forgive them for giving Bishop a zoomer hiarcut. Either the curls or bald.
>>11474336They just revealed 2 Champion Class Rivals figures in Venom and Spidey. Also Galaxy 05 which features Spidey characters and new double jointed arms on some of the characters. The Doc Ock almost looks like a Champion Class.

>>11474416They should at least try. 97 and Mafex are absolute garbage. Uncanny is the only okayish one.
>>11474491The worst part is, it looks like they gave her a tan, so no other rogue headswap would work for her.

>>11474495damn they are both rough looking.
You guys are all going to buy that 3 pack anyway. You're just gas lighting yourselves into thinking the figures are too ugly to try to avoid spending like $90 on Marvel Legends so you can buy an extra import instead.
>>11474491Headie got a sex change.
>>11474698I'm not. I don't care enough about Sauron or the Savage Land era stuff to spend the money on.
>>11474302They're kind of like really basic model kits crossed with Mini-Mates, though not nearly as squat and Lego-like
They've been doing Transformers for a few years now and recently expanded to Ultraman, Kamen Rider and Saint Seiya
The only reason why I know The Hood exists is due to his toy looking a lot like Michael Retroblasting, and because it looks like a civvie/and or funny, wonder if the retroblasting spammer is gonna do a pic edit of Michael and make him black now
>>11474691Nugga, how do you look after a weekend camping trip? These broads have been in the Savage Land for months.
>>11474787They're not real anon
>>11474491JUST SET THEM ON THE TABLE. FUCK.
>>11474793or in a trash bag where they belong
>>11474698I'm not either. I only wanted Kazar and Zabu and the only rogue I need is the mafex so I can sell my retro.
>>11474853Nah, he's not a psycho like you.
So I looked back for reviews on an ML figure from 2018. And I noticed there are far, far more reviews on ML figures back then than there are for figures now. Why do you think that is?
>>11474917MCU or comic figures?
>>11474917Less actual reviewers now than there were back then. Many had to call it quits due to the economy and prices.
>>11474917Nerd culture in the mainstream hit its peak then, been dying down since the pandemic.
>>11474917Reviewers have died
>>11474942I don't get why Star Wars and even MOTU are still in the toy aisle (at least at my walmarts) but Marvel Legends and DC are gone. DC fled to electronics and there's literally no MLs at all.
>>11474917Most marvel legends are the same. Reviewing the same buck can be very tiring for the reviewer and reviewe
>>11474955The dc shit is always on clearance anyway
>>11474941I wonder where they are now? Are they living in sorrow, barely ekeing by, no longer able to find joy in a figure every once and awhile due to Hasbro continually reaching for the whale audience and instead of putting out extremely unsightly products like this one, they only put out subjectively unsightly products like
>>11474495Truly it seems they chose the boutique collector over the normal 'average joe' collector. But I wonder, long term, was that a good choice to make? Todd McFarlane around 1999 made a similar choice when he shifted to "collector focused" stactions instead of more silly, fun action figures with action features like firing missiles and such. And that worked out for him for awhile...until it didn't.
>>11474960Most Marvel Legends back then were also the same bucks over and over. That's definitely not the reason.
>>11474961That was true in 2020 to 2023, but not much anymore besides the total garbage characters no one wants. Much of the DC stuff has skyrocketed in price and has become near impossible to find now because McFarlane Toys is apparently making so few of each figure.
>>11474955MLs aren't gone in my local Walmart. They're where they've always been. DC Multiverse has been expunged though.
>>11474975Pretty sure the DC thing was like a company-wide decision while ML is more of on a store by store basis
>>11474955because MCU is gay nigger shit
>>11474963>Marvel Legends back then were also the same bucks over and over.Yeah it was common practice back then. Many collectors believed that domestic figures were the best we were going to get of a specific character, but now most collectors have access to better options like imports and premium figures. So no one wants the outdated shit like legends anymore.
>>11474981So are you saying the only reason ML can be in the toy aisle is due to movie figures?
>>11474985For most characters that is still true. C listers are not getting imports, and many B listers may not either
>>11474981>MCU Dare devil PO sells out>new MCU Punisher PO sells out that same day sure anon, whatever helps u cope
>>11474987Yeah but no one gives a shit about c listers thus lack of reviews. Your only option for a review is to watch someone that exclusively collects the line like Shartimus.
>>11474988>MCU daredevilnot a nigger
>MCU punishernot a nigger
notice how niggers end up in Ollie's like shuri copter?
>>11474985The fuck are you even talking about? The only version of characters imports make is there "iconic" looks. Look at Cyclops, how many Jim Lee/TAS/MvC style figures of him are there? ML has like four or five at this point, Mezco, Mafex and now Bandai all have one. Like goddamn, would it kill them to give him the classic All New All Different look?
>>11474992This is blatantly untrue. They wouldn't make C listers if they didn't sell. And who even cares about reviews in the first place anyway? If you've seen one ML, you've seen them all. Only time I throw a review on is for background noise. I don't even watch reviews for newly sculpted imports anymore. I don't give a fuck about some sperg finger fucking an action figure for nearly 30 minutes.
>>11474992The older figure I was searching for a review on and found tons of reviews for was a C or even D lister: Nico Minoru. Certainly no A or B lister.
In 2020, this figure retailed for $30.
In 2025, this figure would retail for over $50.
Are you happy with the present situation?
>>11474996You need reviews if you are planning to use a figure or a part of a figure for customizing purposes and need to see if it will work for the planned custom or not.
>>11475026Americans should make their own toys and stop relying on China
>>11475026Yeah, the president's fucked us all, we know.
>>11475029In your world that figure would retail for over $100. You solve nothing.
>>11475017Runaways was extremely popular at the time. Like you are going to find the trades at your public library level.
>>11475064You heard it from Marvel gen first, anons, Nico Minoru was an A or B lister in the 2010s.
>>11475073>2010sThey were popular in the 2000s not the 2010s. It's fine that you're a casual secondary faggot, but at least don't pretend that you aren't.
Runaways was shilled like crazy
Wizard wouldn't shut the fuck up about it
>>11475073Yes. It was many baby's first comic book.
>>11475079The figure came out in the 2010s, not the 2000s. So if what you're saying is only true for the 2000s, and she was back to C or D list in 2010s, then there were a lot of reviews of a C/D lister in the 2010s.
>>11474730Wasn't the Hood one of the main Avengers villains in the 00s?
>>11475111I thiught hood was retroblaster?
>>11474995Just spouting racism doesn't solve the issue. People like Rhodey for example. If they made him the new Iron Man people would be far more invested and interested seeing him try to take up Tony's mantle without his mind. I wouldn't even have minded if Riri was his suits mechanic. I'm pissed War Machine has been sidelined.
Marvel Legends should be about making cool C and D listers. They are out there.
>>11475029Why are you so afraid of dealing with other countries for goods? The phone you're shitposting on was made utilizing materials not from the US. How much do you think the "American Made Venom" would cost? How shitty would it look and articulate?
>>11475133NTA, but Falcon has the same issue and it is spelled out in the new CA movie--Falcon is trying to be Captain America without the advantages of the serum that gives Cap his super strength. We all know how this turned out. People don't really care about whether it's a logical progression or if it would elevate the character, they just don't want the heroes they grew up with being replaced by someone who they don't identify with. No amount of trying to justify or make it interesting with the plot will fix it, because they will decide they hate the movie before it ever comes out for them to see the plot.
>>11475139Yeah there's investment that needs to be there. Like, Bucky to me should be the new Cap and it's not a race thing. He's a super soldier, he wants to make up for everything that happened under Hydra, it'd make sense. In doing that Falcon could have still been his own hero and maybe eventually get people invested in him being the new Cap. Like I enjoyed Sam and Bucky's interactions in Falcon and Winter Soldier. If Bucky was Cap and working with Falcon like that building up to Sam as Cap it would have felt better.
I don't deny that Marvel/Disney makes bad decisions. I just think people being shitposty like the anon above just going full racism mode will have people gloss over it. We don't care about Riri as the new Iron-hero because we never interacted with her in a meaningful way. She also seems unlikeable but that's just poor writing. What about Tony's daughter? Pepper? The kid from 3? Fucking War Machine? That's at least 4 possible people to pass the torch to that we at least have some investment in. Though the boy from 3 less so, but still.
>>11475029But then America will have tons of factories that will produce lots of pollution and make the air unbreathable. Letโs leave that in China please.
>>11475146Isn't Tony's daughter a little kid? Apparently there was a cartoon that was going to copy Speed Racer with her as the main character, but that got scrapped.
>>11475037What about the increase before Trump? Trump bumped everything up 5 more dollars but he doesn't account for the other 20. Not saying he's good, but the corporation greed got there long before Trump.
>>11472874Found a better one at the store tonight, but i also ordered one last night when they went up, so I guess I'll return the worse of the two once it comes in. Wish I hadn't jumped the gun on opening the shitty one
>>11472874Found a better one at the store tonight, but i also ordered one last night when they went up, so I guess I'll return the worse of the two once it comes in. Wish I hadn't jumped the gun on opening the shitty one
>>11475097What are you even arguing at this point?
>>11475111Yeah, Bendis used him a bunch in his New Avengers run and other subsequent books.
>>11475172I said an ML figure came out in the 2010s and I was looking up reviews on it. It had tons of reviews.
Someone said "no one gives a shit about c listers thus lack of reviews."
But the very figure I was speaking of that had tons of reviews in the 2010s was a C/D lister. People cared to review it. This points to responses like
>>11474942>>11474941being more likely to be correct than no one caring to review c/d listers.
>>11475160Prices have been having to increase anyway. Shit's been fucked regardless.
>>11475222Now it's just normal SHF crappy
>>11475222He's still gonna be too short to properly scale with your Marvel Legends or Mafex.
>>11475222Still too short.
Anyone who thought an SHF would scale with anything but other SHF from the same IP was a retard
Captain Marvel pretty much gets nuked from orbit as soon as Stern stops writing. I feel like buying that Secret Wars 2-pack to support her even though I really don't like the Dr. Doom armor there.
>>11475222Where do Ameriibros preorder? I don't want to use middleman services
>>11475146Rhodey should be the new iron Man. Riding is a shit character from top to bottom.
Falcon should remain Falcon. Bucky should be the new Cap.
>>11475295SHF's can easily be gotten off Amzon or BBTS, since they usually get NA releases so no "durr cheaper in Japan" shit.
>>11475331His actor is too expensive for a tv show.
>>11475331>>11475347He's also 60 and has never had the physicality of the character anyway
>>11475350I like the actor they used for him but yeah he was kinda old for the role especially if they decided to just sit on him. So if you like War Machine you're shit outta luck I guess.
>>11475139The problem is Sam is a black man who has a chip on his shoulder. Because of that he can never be Captain AMERICA, only Captain BLACK America.
>>11472350 (OP)I've been spending a LOT on legends lately
Bought a deluxe dark Phoenix, retro she hulk and retro spiderwoman 3 days ago
AND
gonna buy a loose rogue (baf) and dagger tomorrow
Is 25$ a good price for that rogue? Considering it's used and it's in a good state, brand new I've seen her at 100$ same for the retro one, even the 97 is fucking expensive now, why? Dagger is only 10$
I'm also getting warbird and spider girls Anya corazon brand new this weekend
>>11472874>>11475166Is there a reissue of this rogue?
Saw an Instagram post a couple of hours ago about a guy on Walmart spotting a box full of them, he asked the toy aisle guy if those were for sale and why they weren't in the aisle
Employee said they're officially going for sale on the 22, but still managed to buy one and posted a picture
Sadly I dismissed the post
Any news about it?
Wish it was the retro one, up to 4 weeks ago I saw it at 25$ but didn't take the chance, fucking scalpers man
>>11475222Thatโs still too short.
>>11475484The thighs are still a little short, but proportionally he looks better. I've held of ordering for now until we see in hand since I already have the mafex and don't feel the need to doubledip for now.
I may change my mind when my sentinels arrive though and I see the shf beam effect.
>>11475501No I mean for the character. Scott Summers is 6โ3โ and he very tall in the actual game. I was hoping he would be bigger maybe in the 165mm bracket.
>>114755386โ3โ at 1/12 scale is 159mm. So he's pretty much there, but I agree the mafex is perfect. We'll have to see exactly how tall the shf is when it drops and if they give him the extra 4mm needed to be 100% accurate.

>>11475026The 2020 pandemic saw the rise of tourist collectors. Hasbro saw that as arising demand on these toys and produced way to much and raised price all around. When the pandemic bucks stopped so did demand. All that unsold stock went to ollies and ROSS. Hasbro kept the higher prices to try and salvage their stock prices. And they'll keep raising prices because demand keeps falling but stocks need to keep going up. Higher prices is all the CEO know what to do to fix that.

>>11475621I know this is bait, but it still got me to reply
Remember when a standard figure cost 19.99? Those were the days
my "gamerverse" kingpin should be arriving today, looks like it'll be a solid replacement for the retro spidey one
>>11475760Yeah I especially like how inaccurate he looks compared to the game model. Also he has an enormous head and hands. Kinda looks like one of Dick Traceyโs mobster baddies considering how goofy looking he looks.

>>11476063Honestly, looks fine to me, but the pic you posted is pretty blurry. Here's mine for comparison.
>>11475073Nico was a popular B-list character with casual normies due to Runaways being a surprise hit in the 00s plus the fact that she got upgraded to junior Avenger status via Avengers Arena and Avengers Undercover.
Of all of the Runaways she was the most popular.
Got Max Spidey in finally. I like him. 97 Wolvie is good too, but I wish his masked head looked more gruff.
>>11476107You have some weird ideas of what a B list character is.
If Nico is B list, what is Chameleon? Shriek? Hobgoblin? Falcon? Morbius? Lady Deathstrike? She-Hulk?
>>11476121An entirely new articulation system was made just for this figure. Can you tell?
>>11476122Nico is C- at best.
Even being in a live action tv show and in the Midnight Sons game didn't actually raise her profile.
>>11476128I agree with this. No way Nico is B list. Too many far more famous characters exist and they aren't all A listers.
>>11476125I just think it's a good figure.
I'm kind of looking back at the 2010s longingly when it comes to MLs. They seem to have gotten far too conservative in what they will make that is not in a 2-5 pack now.
Behead whoever decided to call characters A-list, B-list, etc. That even gets into the comics themselves now.
>>11476063She seems fun, I'd say give her a chance

So I'm a dumbfuck and I ordered the retro Rogue because I just can't stand the green jacket on the 97. Question is do I just pop the 97 head on the retro body, or go for a jacket/arm swap to use the better legs from the 97?
>>11476404Do they even have the same size neck ball joints?
>>11476406Yes, I've seen other people do the swap.
>>11476364He has a cool visor that shoots lasers. When I was a kid and that first Toybiz line came out there wasn't even a cartoon and I knew nothing about X-Men, but Cyclops seemed rad. Me and my cousin snagged him, Wolverine, Storm, and Magneto. Sometimes a character just needs to look cool
>>11476404I have 5 copies of the Retro Rogue that I bought at retail price and all of them have paint QC. Her green on her thighs and ass love to be fucked up and the X logo loves to be fucked too, along with the paint apps on the collar on her neck. I had to heat her up and take her upper torso off and pop in a better lower torso, then swap the legs. It was honestly really aggravating.
>>11476346Nice, super keen to see their Venom
>>11476421Are they all from the reissue? From what I've seen, the original run had much cleaner edges on the green. I'll have 3 next week, so I'm not too worried about disassembling them, it's the original retro I'm worried about.
>>11476364Because the most popular X-Men are the OG's+Gambit, Storm, Wolverine, Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Colossus, and Rogue
>>11476346oh shit that's out? it looks kino as fuck
>>11476360I like them as variants or just large generic symbiote enemies. Hell you could even use it as some kinda Resident Evil creature. As a Carnage it's too big but they're still cool figures. Even the ML is nice though needed more paint on the back.

>>11476702>>11476707Meh, I have the retro release, I don't need to upgrade him. He doesn't look bad though for anyone needing a Kingpin.

>>11477006Nobody is watching that

>>11477143 So glad Maximum Spider Man priced you out of the hobby.
>>11476707>Its going uo for preorder tommorrow on amazonthis thing went on PO months ago
>>11477146I've got some news for you: plastic is very cheap, one of the lowest costs in producing a toy. It's the tool size that costs the money for larger characters.
Caring about size is foolish either way, as one should prefer small, elegant and well engineered figures like those made by the Japanese over "deluxe" and "megafig" bricks from domestic producers.
>>11477160It didn't, it just made me focus on imports instead, since if Hasbro is going to charge half the price of an import, might as well just pay the other half and get the import which is much better engineered.
>>11477189Still, I'm glad Hasbro priced you out of Marvel Legends. Watching you seethe has been entertaining.
>>11476975The more I think about it, the better the value I'd say it is compared to a lot of other figures. Take maximum hulk as an example
>Dragonman is completely new and built from scratch, whilst hulk is 80% reuse.>Dragonman is a full inch and a half taller.>The accesroy spread is similar, as while hulk comes with another pair of hands, 2 heads and some rocket with effect, Dragonman has wings, alt. wings, plus book and glasses.
>>11477210>accesroyLmao, these are the guys you argue with all day.

>>11477210Bro, Dragon Man is the size of some McFarlane megafigs. Which until recently sold for 39.99. Granted they were of shit no one cared about for the most part so there's no reason to buy them, but the cost to McFarlane was still there. You're getting taken for a ride buying Dragon Man, as it could easily be sold for much less.
>>11477222What makes you think I don't already get both? I have a solid Mafex collection of Marvel stuff and they're my main line for DC figures. I have plenty of AYs, just got my Deadpool 2.5 a month or two ago, and don't even get me started on my SHFs. Fucking Dragon Ball made me collect more then I can count at this point, and my No Way Home Spider Men are the SHFs. Oh yeah, and I have like 6 or 7 figmas. But I also collect MLs because what line other than ML is going to give me figures like the Jackle, Tombstone, the Dark Avengers, and dozens of more characters? I'm more than fine with getting Mafex Cap, Iron Man, Wolverine, Cyclops, and Spider-Man whole ML gives me characters like Wonder Man, Mystique, and Captain Universe.
It just makes me lol that you autismos need to focus only on a single line when the true Chad collector just collects from everything.
Ok so I redid the measurements again, Ryu is about 15.5cm and Legends Cyclops is just around 16.5cm to the top of his hair. So while the figuarts is listed at 15.5cm he will be the same size as Ryu?
>>11477235it must be infuriating knowing you can't realistically mix the quality mafex characters with the more niche ML characters due to scales being off.
>>11477293Not really they're close enough that it works for my purposes. Nice try though. Keep seething about MLs out of your price bracket.
>>11477300Ew, mixing imports and MLs and thinking it looks "close enough", what an admission
For some reason Hasbro used Ultimate FF logo and art design to promote Dragon Man. It's probably nothing, just callback to old ToyBiz Dragon Man figure but god I hope for some ultimate FF set.

Is there any way to spot if a marvel legends figure is used?
There's a toy market near my house every weekend and they sell tons of marvel legends
But sometimes those fuckers sell used figures at retail price, all they do is wash the figure with water and soap, put tape on the box and charge you up to 50$ dollars if the figure is old
Saw a spider girl Anya corazon for 40$ brand new from a guy there and he sent me this pic
Everything seems in order, but I really want it to be brand new if I'm paying fucking 40$
Otherwise I'd just pay 10$ for a used one on eBay
Asking because I've already bought a used figure there (japanese one)
Got home and when I got her out of the box she was fully covered in dust, wince it was a 15 y/o figure and had the cover plastics, hype got the best of me and didn't notice
Another time bought a mafex psylocke and storm collectibles Mai which were new
But the boxes didn't have tape which worried me cause I paid a fucking lot for them
They were clean, box smelled like "new" when you open a new figure but I found it suspicious
Bought a deluxe dark Phoenix last weekend, had the tape and smell and all, but now I'm unsure about buying there unless it's a blister
But I know this fig is from 2012 and seems "legit"
I've no problem buying loose, but for the right price!
Does that mean I can sell my old figs fir the price of new ones?
>>11477327from the package designer.
>>11477565>Otherwise I'd just pay 10$ for a used one on eBayI don't understand the problem here. You literally just gave yourself a solution, what difference does it make if the $40 one might be some kind of scam if you can just get it used for $10?
I finally got my mess toys/ct toys revo black suit spider-man. Does anyone know if bootlegs exist for this bootleg yet, like with the other ct toys releases?
>>11477006>a jew playing the devil
>>11477649>asking if a bootleg figure of a bootleg figure exists When did the timeline transition to the clown world/berenstain universe?
People are buying $60 Hulks and $85 made to order Marvel Legends. They're looking for bootlegs of bootlegs. Todd McFarlane is now charging $80 for a Death Metal 2 pack when he used to make the cheapest figures on the market and brag about it. Its raining fish. Cats and dogs are living together. Everything has gone mad.
>>11477696This is a sign of getting old. It happens to all of us as we approach 50. You stop recognizing the world as the one you grew up in. It helps to soften the inevitability of death since you no longer want to live in what the world has become.
>>11477696As stupid as it sounds, there are fake and worse quality versions of CT Toy releases. The chinks just cannibalize each others molds in the factory.
>>11477649If you got it from Funly it's legit.
>>11477731I did, I guess I just got a bit of dud. I wouldn't call it a lemon, but the knee and waist joints comes off a bit too easily. There is also paint chips on the spider emblem and missing matte finish in places. It's like 75% fine, not as good as the agent venom bootleg I got.
>>11477740Even if you get it from funly and it's a legit CT, you may still get shitty quality. You guys thought my Spider Ben was another bootleg until I showed you all the CT Toys logo on the box.
>>11477703The Solo to SHF's Mack Bolan.
>>11477740Note that even official revos can pop apart so it may not be as bad as you think.
>>11477743The bootlegs of CT also come with CT logos so it's not the best indicator. If you bought it from Funly though then you got unlucky which sucks. In the end they are bootlegs even if they're really solid. My CT Tobey's neck peg broke for instance. I was able to fix it with a tiny screw but it's the kinda thing to be aware of.
>>11477886It was from Funly. I've gotten three figures from them now, Wolverine, Anti Venom, and Spider-Ben. Anti Venom was easily the best, be it due to it being a new paintjob/character and it being the best quality of the three I got. Brown Suit Wolvie was fine, definitely not as good as a legit Mafex, but definitely acceptable for the sub $20 I paid for him. Spider-Ben ended up being the most expensive and the shittiest in terms of quality. Not quite as bad as some older bootlegs I've gotten in years past, but not really worth the almost $30 or so he cost. He's on my shelf since I missed the reissue of the legit figure, but I do also have the most recent ML which I think is pretty good, although to be fair, I did get the ML for free from Hasbro due to having an issue with some other figure I bought and calling up and complaining about it.
>>11477628Well...
I'm autistic enough that I only want to buy brand new...
HOWEVER
I've been opening up to buy loose lately, bought a loose juggernaut baf rogue and dagger 2 days ago, and they were fine but...
HOWEVER
the dagger I bought had yellowish marks all over her body, especially in her arms, had black stains and it felt "sticky"
Rogue was better but was a bit dusty, obviously cleansed both of them with water and soap and they got fixed, though dagger being fully white didn't get completely clean, same for rogue
Which leads to the second point, I don't want my figures to be jizzed by some fat degenerate greaser, that's one of the main reasons I don't like to buy loose
How would you know they haven't been used to jerk off or something?
>>11477916>How would you know they haven't been used to jerk off or something?you don't
why has no one posted the new F4 figs??
>>11477931No one bought them
>>11477950I might get Silver Slut at a discount. The rest is trash. Imagine paying for a fucking Pedro Reed.
>>11477931The movie doesn't look that great and I've pretty much sworn off MCU figures for the past few years outside of a handful here and there. I have a pretty big Infinity Saga collection of MCU figures but I stopped collecting them a few years ago.
>>11477931>>11477950>>11477979Are they even out?
I wanna buy the silver slut and invisible whore but Amazon says they're going to be delivered august 29 - September 2
Yet I'm seeing reviews already AND Hasbro releasing movie figures AFTER several days of the movie coming out?
Nah, no, that must be because the first batches were sold out right?
Still I want them, does Walmart still sells legends? I guess I'll check out my local one
>>11478005>invisible whoreNot with that gay uniform.
>>11478029I'm so angry that us stores aren't stocked with figures adequately and are disorganized to shit and yet somehow other countries get this
>>11478042It's a Hasbro-branded store in a Japanese outlet mall, so of course it's stocked and orderly. Disney has tanked all their androcenteic brands, so now 80% of Habro's product doesn't even go to mass market retailers.
>>11478042I mean who even cares at this point? I just put in a pre-order for something I want and forget about it.
>>11478046That the '97 Beast leaked, or a custom job?
>>11478005iโve seen youtubers & some tik toks of people reviewing them So i guess so. I mean the movie is in a few weeks
>>11478058Custome, if just made me laugh
I couldn't find a good smiling Beast custom at all, not even a blue version of the one that came with Gray Beast
>>11478056Try that at target
>>11478131Yeah Target is bad, but for the most part, aside from a few exceptions, it really isn't difficult to get MLs before they sell out.
>>11477006I would buy a 3pack with Borat, Hood and final armor Riri.
shit I would buy Marvel Legends Natalie
>>11478239It would take just as much effort to google it as it did asking here. I'll let you figure it out.
>>11477928You know what? Fuck it, I'm not buying it
I saw a guy selling the same figure for 30$ without box since January up to 3 weeks ago, figure had a slight scratch on her left eye and a little unpainted dot on her chest
And surprise surprise, the figure un the box this guy is selling has the exact same details
Coincidence? I don't think so, my head hurt form overthinking it too much but I'll just say fuck it and buy it from ebay
Fuck marketplace scammers selling used figures as new just cause they washed them and put tape on the box
Gonna buy the new jean grey instead from Amazon along those 10 pack tamashii bootleg bases
Any other bases you recommend for legends?
>These 2 together are $200 in maple leafs after tax
>My wallet, it weeps.
>>11478562Could've bought 2 good imports
