GSC case was because TPCi meddled too much with the QoL and distribution of the figma line so the Galar figures ended up with more issues than the previous SunMoon and Red figma.

Not to mention the characters chosen based on the popularity poll, Marnie seems it did well but Raihan performed bad.

TCG only covers cards not plushies. That’s what I’m talking about, this little bugger already generated 2 billion alone in a year for them. TPC will without a doubt copy them, the answer is how long until that happens. Do you actually think they won’t take the opportunity to make more money?

Labubu's (or however the hell you spell it) is totally different. It's the same body with just different faces or colors. Production on something like that is much easier and cheaper compared to something like Pokemon where every single one is completely different. For plush or plastic figures, it's 100% unrealistic to expect that many different variations of items in the same wave.

Some of them I guess. But they mostly are either too small or too big. S class and L class figures are not even in the same scale but they have some sort of coherence, like how pikachu and Slowpoke are in the same line but slowpoke is almost as big as charizard while pikachu is the tiniest figure of the whole bunch

What the fuck is Jazwares doing?
>no new figures in like half a year
>figure releases outside of the Selects might as well be nonexistent because they're either exclusive to fucking Walgreens or Ross
>virtually no announcements of new releases for any of the lines except maybe the Selects once in a blue moon. Basically we only know when something new is out when people start finding them in stores
>announce Deoxys Select and say preorders are open, something we saw over a year ago and its not even available for preorder

I just really want someone else to get the license away from these braindead fucks or at least put someone competent in charge of their social media. That Aaron guy at least was *someone* to direct questions to, even though he didn't know that one of their biggest releases didn't even fucking come out in the states

Expect more of the same nonsense that the Pokemon line has been doing with that FNAF stuff. Those figs don't look good anyway. No paint on them, lackluster articulation, and being forced to overpay for two bodies but only skeleton will get old real fast.

Wow you aren't kidding. I just checked the wiki for this year's figs compared to last year and the year before. We've gotten like 1/3 the number of new figs released half way into the year compared to other years. Some of the releases coming do interest me though like Pinsir, Bagon and Kabutops. Did we know about a 3" Pidgeotto?? Its on the wiki and everything on there has been correct so far but Ive never seen anyone mention that.

That's the first time hearing about Pidgeotto. I was actually on the wiki like a week ago counting how many pokes for each gen there were and I'm almost certain it wasn't there yet. Well for those interested here's what they were at the time:
Gen 1: 70
Gen 2: 35
Gen 3: 32
Gen 4: 23
Gen 5: 18
Gen 6: 18
Gen 7: 32
Gen 8: 27
Gen 9: 19
The count includes some regional variants in their respective gen where the new design made it's debut.

Kanto understandably has the most but its a bit surprising to see how many Johto and Hoenn have too since those weren't current like Alola or Galar when they were making toys

Is there a function to get a tally per generation on the wiki or you just counted yourself? I love all the ways to categorize and view the figures on that wiki. The view by type is helpful when Im trying to decide which figures to pair with specific Figmas for a theme.

I bought the Blokees Pysduck and Charmander. They're cool, but none of the other Pokemon really impress me that much (and they're mostly all Kanto mons or mascot mons anyways)

I'll keep an eye on them, but Jazwares at least has some modest variety when they're not shitting out more Starter Pokemon packs.

I'm actually interested in some of the other model kits but I have a Magikarp one I still need to put together.

I don't really deal much with Scale World (I bought the set with Pikachu and Charmeleon and I mean the size is cool for scaling if you strictly stick with it, but they're kind of expensive for statues) and Moncolle are the same way.

There's some cool stuff ahead (Kabutops, Pidgeotto, Skeledirge, Deoxys) but basically zero timeline of when we'll see them. And if its like the recent clip n gos or even Tyrantrum, we probably won't even see some of them.

As far as we know, it was just the two; Charmander w/Carvannah and Pikachu w/Marril.

I don't think anyone has reached out to anyone at Jazwares to even confirm if there were more, not that Jazwares probably knows either.

I'd almost kind of expect to see them show up somewhere else like Target when they reset the Toys later this month, but who knows. Its a cool idea to have Summer figures, but a hard sell to have a place for them at any store (again though, Jazwares distribution is so disastrous that they probably could have come out any time if the company cared enough)

Oddly enough, the Plush released at a few different places so there were some options there.

Theoretically, it is possible that Gamestop only got two of them (they only got the Flower Crown Eevee pack from Easter while all 3 showed up at Target) but without them showing up at another store its impossible to know if there was another set or not.

Everything else is either already out or they've been showing already.
