Well the skiff is a separate set and the GWP has around 260 pieces allegedly, while the yavin y-wing has only 182 pieces. Additionally, it is said that it will include 3 minifigs where one of them is bound to be a tie pilot I'd assume. Most recent TIE (from mash up set) has ~500 pcs so either it is something in between, "base-scale" with accessories, or two small ones at most

I think the best way to do it would be to use a B1 torso (reversed so the stud is in the front), arms, and legs with a bunch of wire printing all over it with a new headpiece that connects with a clip. Only if you mean in scale to other Lego sets, because most ships were undersized for minifig "truescale" even before Lego SW started getting smaller and smaller. I'm pretty sure the actual Jedi Interceptors are probably the closest.
Then again, Lego scale is fucked to start with since width and sitting height are obviously out of proportion to standing height compared to a real person, so it depends which of those you're going off of. Although I personally wouldn't use standing height for most things.

we sort-of have a "cat head" mold already, but Ankha has an extra snake-thing that would need to be added, so it's a "new" mold. similar to how they made the -singular- Unicorn Horn mold for Julian, yet they could have made it a regular horse head and re-colored it for dozens of characters they now cannot

toss in the complicated color pattern Ankha would need... I don't know exact Lego printing/coloring restrictions, so I only assume it would be hard to match her head design.

all that being said... if one of the designers had her in their island... it's 100% certain we'd get her! I feel like the character choices are entirely based on the designer's personal games. which is what I'd do, if I could.

I fully buy into the theory now that this thing was supposed to be a UT-AT but was changed to a turbo tank at some point last minute in production. It would explain why the build is so shit stability/quality wise and has brickbuilt wheels, since they didn't have time to get special pieces for the wheels put into production. Watching this review cements the feeling for me that this looks like a MOC or an alternate build in how it completely lacks play features, a handle, and uses very little technic causing it to fall apart if you pick it up from the wrong place. Very clearly a rushed and unfinished design not keeping with Lego's quality standards and yet it's priced at literally twice what it should be.

The difference between human, near-human, and humanoid aliens in Star Wars seems to be a sliding scale and probably depends on who's asking and what's politically convenient (the Empire didn't like aliens, so if they were working with some humanoid ones they'd likely label them as near-humans, or refer to near-humans as humanoid if they were opposing the Empire), but generally near-humans are just human subspecies with some traits not found in baseline humans, like Miraluka all being blind but Force-sensitive or Mirialans having green skin, while humanoid aliens like Twi'leik or Togruta have more major anatomical difference like head-tentacles or horns.

Yeah I liked the balaclava look because that's actually what they should be wearing. Personally I DO replace all trooper fig heads. I just don't know what to do with the fleshie heads. Most of my troopers are black but I think I got white heads for the snow troopers and sand blue for the AT-AT drivers.
