not 100% no, but from the research I've done the telltale signs are the stamped serial number on the bottom of the box and the visible V shape above his eyes and below his helmet. It's also shipping from an American seller that mostly doesn't sell transformers. The way I see it, if it is a KO I paid a pretty standard price, and if it's authentic I got a good deal.

Got Sky Byte in the mail. I'm honestly blown away by how good he is. He did come with a minor flaw, a bit of his helmet has a chunk of paint missing.

Okay. that is a few notes more purple than ultramarine blue, but ultramarine would definitely be a good starting point. Mix it with a little royal purple, I'd say close to 50/50, and I think you'll be in.
but the tricky part is this is a nice saturated indigo, and in my experience, model-kit paints suitable for action figures tend to be much more subdued (Vallejo's ultramarine blue and royal purple are way less saturated than this) so it might be tough to find some bright enough. giving in and using paints meant for PAINTING is a pain, but i DID do that on my netflix cheetor and got his shins the right matching color, so it's doable. (I sold that one once Premium Finish came in)
And if you wanna get fully paintistic, 'clear' paint over a brighter color can do wonders for vividness.

Thanks, upon transforming it a second time, I realized I probably caused the chip. The paint around the head comes off very easily, a light bump from the shoulder pads while connecting took out another bit. I've heard about clear coats but I have no experience with that or how to do it, so that's a bummer, specially when this figure is so good. It reminds me of the yellow on the SG Sideswipe figure and Senator Shockwave's white paint.

I never finished the CW one - got just Blast of and Brawn (the tank one) and they were so "weak" that i didn't want to finish the combiner. Especially i didnt want to buy that dune buggy/jeep because it looked the worst (there is a tank and out of the sudden they have gigantic tank-size dune buggy with open space and no visible place for anyone to sit)

Thoughts on the cyberworld show? episode 1 just released on YouTube. First official look at Optimus, bee, scorponok, megabull and Russian grimlock.

Yeah, it was idiotic to mold his hands and elbows in the directions they did with no ability to let him just hold his weapon normally - it's either posing him like you have him in your picture or rotating his arms so his elbows bend inward to let him point his axe forward. In all seriousness though, Kingdom Blaster is great but it had lot of little inaccuracies in the colours. That's really the only thing SS86 improves upon but I'd say he's still worth the upgrade, though I am a little biased since Blaster is my favourite character and SS86 is my favourite toy.

Welp, I got his shoulder open and its an honest to goodness QC issue. The main pin of his shoulder is mis-shot and didnt go deep enough. Fuck. Also, not one but two spring loaded tabs to contend with for reassembly.

Fixed it. Had to glue down the ratchet. The pin not being all the way down was allowing it to slide back and forth. Its meant to be fixed and the arm moves around it.

Why in the world did they not mold the top of Sky-Byte's head the same blue color as the rest of the toy? The transformation is tight around the head, you risk scrapping the paint when transforming it. The paint is also easy to remove, just a light scratch with your nail will remove it.

My favorite thing about the toy are those springloaded ratchet joints hands down. Perfect strength and super satisfying to use. Those are real ratchet joints like the ones from the 80s and 90s, and not the crap we usually get today with a single loop piece of white vinyl with a teeth that flexes when moving the joint.
