Warhammer - The lord of Iron edition
Now that the season for Iron Warriors is open, Perty is sure to appear sooner or later, but what then? I wouldn't expect more besides iron circle and a dreadnought, unless there are going to be some named characters, specialized units or or other armor variants.

Pre-Demon Angron at least has his moments in things like Betrayer and the tension between how much he really, really hates his Legion just slightly less than he hates the Emperor, but you're right. To be honest, I don't think any of the Primarchs are that interesting. Kharn, Sigismund, Fabulous Bill, Typhon/Typhus, Ahriman and all time winner of the Big Piece Of Shit award Erebus are much better characters. If we're going to follow GW-prime into doing almost nothing but Power Armour forever, it would at least be nice to have modern counterparts to the Heresy era characters, so Ahriman with the black staff and full horns, embiggened Abbadon and so on.

This one? I would assume so. Some of my friends really love it more than the plastic "modern" version, but I just don't see it. Now the resin transfigured Fulgrim with the snake armour, that one's much cooler than the plastic version.

For the maybe two people who aren't as deep in the warhammer weeds as me and anon >>11490868, there's three modern Fulgrim minis. A Pre / Early Heresy humanoid and a later heresy demon version in resin from forgeworld, and a recently released plastic demon version to represent his current form.

1, which was half of a diorama with the Iron Hands primarch Ferrus Manus, somewhat infamous for the screaming face and there being a different sculpt lost somewhere.

The same can't be said for Fulgrim:

Honestly, Fulgrim getting a human form probably has a higher chance than most of the Chaos Primarchs because of the Iron Hands / Ferrus Manus connection. Ferrus dies so early in the Heresy after doing so little (he basically just jobs to Fulgrim right at the very start and thats it, that's his entire contribution, while killing Ferrus is what cements Fulgrim to the dark side and ultimately leads to snussy piercings >>11490886) that it would make sense to give him someone to fight and/or give collectors a reason to double-dip. Of the other Primarchs the only other ones that have substantially different models are Mortarion and Magnus, and their demon models are much more toyetic.

Tarriffs aren't an issue for me, so you'll need to decide what to do there yourself, but for what its worth I got her recently and I think she's great. I really like the chipped, weathered effect on the armour, the whole thing feels very solid and depending on how you pose her giant back-gun arms she stands up well without the flying stand. ,As silly as it is I like that her dinky pistol comes in and out of its holster and that if you use the helmet head it also looks like the Dawn of War: Dark Crusade Tau commander (which is a big plus for me). If I had to be criticial I do find that its a bit hard to get the flying stand pegged in correctly, as unlike the Assault Marines there's no gripping arms that go around the torso, but I wouldn't call that a deal breaker. Her top-knot also appears to be stuck blowing in one direction, but at least it doesn't pop off unlike every single Justaerin terminator.

TLDR: s'good, would pose doing dynamic entry again. Compared to the other Xenos much better than the Necron lord and Ork Kommando and at least on par with the Tyranid Warrior and a lot of Marines. The regular battlesuit is also nifty, but because its so big the flying base is a lot more wobbly. The HQ version with the red head also has one less weapon than the regular version.

No.

The only thing they had going for them was being big hunks of plastic for cheap. Now they are big hunks of plastic for nearly double the price. It's been what 3 or 4 years and they haven't updated the articulation on the marine body once(No I'm not counting the alternate primaris type).

Bandai's Sculpt looks 20x better and the mcfarlanes had horrifically bad ankles. Torso range sucks too.

It doesn't even matter because Bandai's 40k was pretty much just dabbling. McF has a whole 4-5 year old line that is ongoing to this day with no substantial improvement. The best toys they made were the Xenos, the marine repaints are ass.

You're completely wrong about the articulation and looked up a review to make sure https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DS75yXVEpF8

And the sculpts are... who knows. detail looks as sharp on both, but I'd give it to McFarlane because of the eguila on the chest. The more angular features and feathers around the skull don't look right to me on Bandai's. McFarlane's is more familiar and probably more accurate.

You are missing the point on purpose or something. Bandai is irrelevant, thier 40k line is long-dead. You just want something you can compare Mcfart crap against in a way that isn't 100% unfavourable like it is with JT.

My whole argument is that Mcfart should actually improve their 40k toys or just fuck-off altogether. All they've don is throw afew more accessories in the box and raise the price 90%.

You claimed McFarlane's marine didn't have better articulation and I proved you wrong. You mad?

You sound like you work for Joytoy and are angry that people have an option to buy larger scale Warhammer 40k figures.

And yes, you are correct, McFarlane has improved by adding more accessories with their figures. Before they only included 2 at most. Now they have alt hands, heads, and 2-3 weapons/armorbits.

That's exactly what i expect from Joytoy shill who is mad that other toy companies can sell the same toys for way cheaper.

At least bandai has a good reputation, but was their Space Marine worth $100 more over McFarlane's? Not even close, considering companies like Rebor offer better quality paint jobs for not even $5 more than McFarlane's prices back in 2023.

And I think $35 is too high too, but again, i only made my post to point out that you were wrong about McFarlane's articulation being bad, and actually better than Bandai's figure.

Stay mad.

>>11497955
considering how dead the Warhammer thread is now, i doubt anything can revive it, aside from some western company making an actual 1:18 line where the 4.5" figures don't need to cost $30-80.
Maybe McFarlane can make a 1:18 line and sell the figures for $20
Considering how Joytoy has slowed down the releases for their line, maybe they're winding down production because they're ditching the license?

Also, if Joytoy made a 1:12 line, considering their 1:18 Primarcheseses are shorter than McFarlane's 7" DC figures, there's no way anyone here can afford to pay $180 for a Joytoy Space Marine in 1:12 scale.

No, you don't.
In fact, if you actually owned a Joytoy figure, you'd understand my position on their lackluster efforts.

The only reason people in this thread defend Joytoy figures is either because they're literal shills and don't care about toys OR they're poorfags who can't afford to buy any other toyline but Joytoy's Warhammer figures.

The more lines you own the less bias you have and realize the grass isn't greener on the other side.
In the case of Joytoy and McFarlane, it's like having fire ants and landmines just under freshly painted green grass vs a natural green lawn with some bare spots. One might look nicer, but it has more problems than the cheaper looking one.

There's like five people, besides myself, in this General who own a variety of other toylines and most of them were able to admit they had problems with Joytoy's figures. They seemed chill too.

Side note, scored a Sister of Silence on Bombusbee, should be coming soon.

Why blood angels and a ultrasmurf razorback all of a sudden? This is so random. One moment they start releasing iron warriors and then out of nowhere they switch to blood angels? Does it mean it's over when it comes to the release of Perty's boys or will the be back?

I was on the fence about buying the smurf apothecary, but now I'll be getting the blood angel one instead, and the Captain, hopefully we get a Chaplain soon too, if not I'll just buy the regular one and get a BA pauldrom from Etsy

Serves as Apothecary/medic for the chapter and certian special duties, mostly keeping the black rage in check and deciding when to refer them to the co pany Chaplain and when to send them to the dead company instead or just putting them down if the case is too extreme

Is castellan crowe normally expensive or is it a case of long out of production pricing? Dont own any joytoy stuff but he looks sweet, and I had him as my HQ choice back when grey knights got plastic models for tabletop

He was pretty damn expensive first time around. Trouble is unless they've embiggened him he's going to be a runt next to modern Astartes figures.

Pardon crappy photo but I got my Sister of Silence in today. She's fun! A bit monochromatic but the gold does look very nice, to be fair. Also very fun to pose, and the soft rubber parts are really well done; the cloak doesn't get in the way at all and looks good.
