Just like Sekiko, Iris is super good.

She comes in a big ass box and has shit tons of parts, 90% of them can fit on her all at once, with a couple pieces like an armored head, partially armored head and a completely flat alternate chest plate.

Her sub arms in her binders come in two varieties, one folded for storage and the other fully extended. The armature that connects them to her backpack can rotate, and sits at 45° meaning the sub arms can get very good movement despite not having any bicep swivel.

Looks pretty standard for a 30ms girl

Her expressions are all great, the strange dullness from Sekiko is gone. You can't really see it very easily, but she has some sharp ass pointed ears on her face plates.

Some things that need to be paid attention to here is that, the "petals" of her binders are EXTREMELY glossy, they are fingerprint and dust magnets to the absolute max, and the dark colors make anything on them stand out quite badly, the other point of note is that her main binder and sub arm joint are very very tight, combining this with the thin plastic used for the black shell over the binder mounts could lead to breakage if not careful.

Iris is really big too, much larger than I figured she'd be. Her binders fully outstretched are damn near six inches each. Height wise she's no slouch either, with her likely towering over every other girl on your shelf.

They are both quite similar, I personally prefer Iris and how her binders are as well as her body that's basically only covered by some straps over Lilly's stick body.

Because Rosado Lilly is a plastic model kit while Rosado Iris is a preassembled figure like Rosado Sekiko was before her. It's not helped by the language barrier

I honestly suspect the girl was an afterthought - everything I've seen points to them wanting to make a cool dragon figure first and foremost, with the girl tacked on after the fact to boost sales just in case. Makes sense that there isn't much integration between the two - if the dragon was the priority, they weren't going to compromise it's design by forcing a gimmick where it becomes armor for the add-on girl.

This is how I've felt about most of these Chinese kits that come with some sort of mech/animal. The girl often feels tacked on to help catch a more popular demographic since "robot animal plamo" isn't exactly the most popular thing outside of kinnnnnnnnd of Zoids/Hexa Gear.

Funny since their mechanical design was once their best aspect, they have gotten much much better.

Pretty standard frame arms girl, you can even use her tummy section with some of those kits. Nothing too fiddly, I think the detail parts around her neck took me a couple tries to get right. She's missing quite a few color apps but if you're custom painting anyways that doesn't matter.

Lascivus pearl topcoat is pretty nice for skin, it hits the sweet spot in between gloss and matte for me.

I just got some in. What cases have you used it in for now?

Kind of want to try painting skin to cover up nub mark discoloration/fill gaps but i get nervous around articulation points, which are prone to scratching the paint. Yeah i’m kind of new to this, though i have worked on many scale kits in the past, it’s more of a “pose and done” deal, very different to this.

This is just the nature of the beast as a heads up. Your paint WILL chip away eventually around any moving parts if you actually move your painted girls about. If you ever check out any of the higher end creators over on Japanese Twitter/Insta you'll see their projects start out great, then when you see pictures of them again months later there's some chipping in the expected areas. If you move them it WILL chip. It's a matter of when, not if. As for the discoloration/nub stuff just cut and clean your parts better, and do seam line removal. Shouldn't have to do anything to cover that stuff up except for the occasional poorly placed gate. Otherwise doing some basic skin painting is pretty easy. Just depends on what you want to do exactly. Just want some shading? Use the clear orange/red/pink Lascivus stuff. If you want to actually completely change the skin color then prime the parts in pink or white, and use whatever skin tone you want. If you're not mixing your own skin tone, then just use the Lascivus Peach/Coco as a base to start with.

My experience is no amount of “better removal” will hide nub marks on some plastic colors, it seems very dependent on the color and type of plastic. Typically it results in a darker color than the un-gated plastic.

Thorough sanding and a layer of super glue painted over helps keep paint from scratching. Proper primer and surface prep is still needed to prevent the paint from lifting and making the super glue crack.

Helps a lot to have higher quality nippers. The more cleanly the blade cuts the less stress marks there are. God Hands, for example, cut well enough for me that I can just cut flush against the part, sand it baby-butt smooth, and not have to think about it after that for the most part.

A bunch of parts that have existed since the 1.0 frame arms have very damaged molds, it's one of the reason koto occasionally puts out updated versions of their msgs. The same is starting to happen to older Megami device kits that reuse a bunch of runners from other kits, my SOL Raptor Beast has a bunch of mold wear signs.

Now, that's just if we are talking about the og Nine-Tails, if we are talking about the new one it's because of the multi part molds not fitting together perfectly sometimes.

The equipment that was skipped on Gourai was her bazooka. It was originally an msg added in to give her kit more value, they didn't upside the msg with her for grand scale. Stylet has all of hers, Magatsuki not only has her full armor, but also her light armor form too. For Baselard I am surprised she comes with her cannons since they were not original tooling for her, but it does bode well for the possibility of an add on kit for gourai that gives her the Bazooka and her shields.

It's not just the volume, either. Looking closer, 2/3 also have basically weightless boobs with minimal droop which hugely contributes to that silicone look and Momoka (the one with her shirt closed) only kind of sidesteps the issue for her size. Trick is, believably heavy looking boobs also kill torso mobility on models because, unlike actual boobers, plastic can't squish out of the way.

The bolt on look is 100% some people's preference though, I don't doubt these will sell.

For example a20 is the plug covering the 3mm addon holes on lirinel's legs and a22 is the bunny ear headband which fits in between her hair parts.
