-Darkstars, Metron with Morbius Chair, and Dark Archer preorders coming soon (supposedly July 17th)
-Peacemaker preorder coming July 24th
-Superman Movie figures in stores
>>11492681 (OP)Correction: *Mobius Chair
I was morbing when I typed that.
>>11492683At least youโre trying to not be a faggot. Still baking way too early tho
I had fun collecting mcfarts
>>11492681 (OP)>not mentioning the total justice announcement coming any day now
>>11492691I did too. Behold my mcfart clusterfuck
>>11492821Good stuff. I still want a Sandman and a Joker, but the only one that's closest to what I want is in the 2-pack with Punchline and I have no interest in that character.
>>11492821>>11492835Given Toddy McFarty lost the license I'd say it's time to pack it up boys and cut off all the dead weight.
>>11492835You don't need to spam your shelves every thread bro. Especially if it's not a new pic.
Mondo SDCC Animated Robin
Mezco's Animated Series Joker
>>11492681 (OP)Should've been DC General: Tire Center Edition. Does anyone find it hilarious that the whitest of trash with literal bridges made of pallets in his backyard was the one sperging out about patios this whole time?
>>11492903The faces on this are perfect but the body just looks off. I really think this artstyle just canโt work with soft goods.
>>11492980The soft goods look weird. The material seems like it's too thick
>>11492975Who even gives a shit about all of these autists talking about patios and houses in a fucking toy thread?
>>11492980It does bury the angles. He always had sharp angles in the show.
>>11492821Todd made Super Powers Brainiac?
>>11492835You could see if you could ebay punchline. But no idea if anyone would buy
So marvel getting all the cool shit again from SHF, it's not fair!
>>11492997No thats the old dc direct brainiac. I have a few mixed in there like bombshells harley since todd never released a proper one
>>11493079Mattels got us bro <3
I need to get in contact with Toddโs dealer because I want whatever heโs smoking
>>11493079>SHFlol
Enjoy your "quality product" mousebro
I guess todd had another trailer stolen, im just watching my tracking number sit still since last week. Dammit i wanted that hawkgirl.
Any idea when those ross figures start rolling out? I forgot about them until just now.
After extensive research Iโve decided to purchase fondjoy Superman 2025
>>11492821>>11492835>>11493135Might as well rebrand this place as Superman General.
>>11493185The first decent Superman movie since 1978 just came out. Of course people are hyped for the character again.
>>11493000The $5 I'd make wouldn't even be worth the drive to the post office. I've been trying to think of ways to kitbash her into a Mercy Graves or something but her outfit is pretty trashy. I dunno, I'm not a Batman guy and the Joker would just be more shelf filler.
>>11493191>mfw I post >Jarret
>>11493095Todd is going for an award...the first action figure ever to sell single digits.
>>1149309540 dollars for the most bare bones of releases. They really have no shame with this one. Also, I find it funny metron was supposed to release alongside these two but is no where to be found probably due to budget cuts. Wouldnt be surprised if its released as a deluxe instead
It seems this CE wave was the limit for bbts and EE. They know these won't sell at that price. I didn't even realize this wave came out because the usual twitter "our sponsors bbts and EE" shills had nothing to say.
>>11493095Be honest with me, DC gen, Todd has until _JUNE 2026_ with the Supergirl wave - that's almosta full year of thiswild ride left - where do you think we will be in 2026? 500 units of Zatanna stealth dropped at mts for $55 that sellsout in less than 1 second?
>>11493271>where do you think we will be in 2026? Here discussing patios and mortgages, ignoring Toddler shit until the first wave of Mattel drops. After that we become the dc version of marvel general.
Got troika batman. Im digging it and glad it has a wire unlike no mans land batman. Word of caution though the head is extremely tight and feels like its going to brake when moving it so be careful
>>11493329Well it's official. Todd makes literally no sense. Why does NML specifically not have a wire? Can anyone think of a logical reason? Wire shortage in China during his run? Experimental factory rather than the usual?
>>11493306Oh my word! That sounds awful!
But atleast we will still have each other.
>>11493339Factory fuck up is the only explanation. Itโs also possible the factory ran out of wire and just hadnโt gotten more in time.
>>11493238I agree, it was better than that
Anthony weighed in on how much he thinks a production run of a standard DCMV figure is now in the Batman Year 2 Accent edition review today. Was around 3:15 into the video. He estimates 10k units, which is a bit below what Todd himself said in the Walmart livestream, but not too far off.
Let it be known, Anthony is against the Walmart and Target logistics connoisseur here who believed there was no way the production runs of DCMV could be that small.
Fascinating look at the plastic quality in this set. I really would've liked it if someone hyper critical reviewed more DCMV. Doesn't have to be Anthony since he seems to be basically a Batman-only collector. But someone to just trash the bad figures and fairly point out when a figure is surprisingly above average. It'd be entertaining.
>>11492879He updated the Wonder Woman pose.
>>11493380No one cares what your boyfriend thinks.
>>11493380Nobody fucking cares
>>11493412>>11493422The Walmart and Target logistics connoisseur does. That post is for him.
>>11493430Fuck off Anthonyspammer
These are going to be some of the rarest platinum figures ever made. But the question though is whether anyone would care about the characters for them to have any real value
>>11492975What's the lore behind this?
why no mace and how can i get one
>>11493528I gotta say this is genuinely one of Hawkgirl's better fits. I don't like the team uniform nearly as much on Guy but this works.
>>11493442I guess id be more excited for darkstars but not that much. This line is just too silly to even get mad over anymore. Youll need the rare one and the common just to get a figure that shouldve been complete regardless of rarity. Why doesnt the platinum have the helmet?
>>11493584>Why doesnt the platinum have the helmet?Lore
>>11493574Yeah it doesn't work for Guy, but it does for Hawkgirl and it's pretty close to Mister Terrific's regular costume so it's fine for him. I wish we got a 'better' quality Hawkgirl too, but she's not bad for $8.
>>11493584>Why doesnt the platinum have the helmet?McF expects you to use one of the 5 other helmets you got from the 5 regular versions you bought to get the platinum as the 6th.
McF has them all fooled this time though since EE didn't carry this no one can buy the case pack from EE, but maybe MTS carried one. But McF gets all that money so they are drooling over that.
>>11493628Guy's costume just needs more green in it. Initially I hated it, but it's grown on me. Nothing beats his usual costume though.
>>11493363Amazing, really.
>>11493135Does look like the best one. Unfortunately it's McFartlane size.
>>11493528Hard to find figure now
>>11493584>>11493638Yep looks like plastic waste is the name of the game to McFarlane Toys. If they were HQed in the EU I'd like to believe the EU would go after them for shit like this. Making someone buy 5 copies of a figure to get a "SPECIAL" 6th. This is the kind of disgusting activity that is destroying the environment and causing everyone to have a mean concentration of 4.2 MPs/mL microplastics in their bloodstream.
>>11493654I do have her, I meant how can I get a mace that fits her. I got her two days ago off Walmart's site for $8.
>>11492835>>11492681 (OP)>>11493201put your trip back on for proper filtering, jarrett
Sometimes when I canโt find the figgie I want Iโll just shit into my hand and pretend itโs a mcshart
Would you spend $209 dollars on 5 copies of the same figure and 1 original "RARE" figure? Why not buy Mondo's sexy new Rogue instead for only $50 more?
>>11493692>mfw I'm on the potty
>>11493329But can he do the infamous pose?
>>11493883That's the issue I had with Three Jokers Batman, they can't do interesting poses for shit. Getting the No Man's Land Batman only because his head movement and arm articulation is better as well as his proportions being way better.
It's like Todd has zero interest in offering fans proper proportions for his figures
>>11493692So wholesome. This is the Superman movie we needed. I feel like going to see it again.
>>11493900It was a very positive but weird experience. I knew that it wasn't the best movie but it was so much like the comicbooks that I still overall really liked it
>>11493930If they wouldnโt have made Superman yell like a woman over and over Iโd say it was the best Superman movie ever made. Still felt like a second film and we really know nothing about this Superman.
>>11493938>we really know nothing about this SupermanSo true. He could be here to subjugate and enslave us. He might already have a secret harem.
>>11493942Itโs implied he knows fuck all about krypton and that instead of having all the collective knowledge of krypton given to him by his father he just has a single 1 minute message.
>>11493938That put me off at the beginning but I thought the intention was to play with his boyscout-ish behaviour and show that this is a Superman that is still very naive about the things he's doing. I've heard people say he seemed stupid during the interview scene but my main impression was his idealism being too strong and clouding his objective judgment
>Still felt like a second film and we really know nothing about this SupermanThat was my main gripe when first infos startet popping up over the internet but I feel like it worked just fine. It leaves room for a prequel movie/show but it's not necessary to understand what's going on
>>11493942Shut the fuck up, Lex
>>11493658I know yr goofing but i do sctually consider the impact collecting plastic could have on the enviroment.
So i just lie to myself that recycling has some positive off set.
I guess todd hates being in the toy buisness or atleast doesnt like dc fans.
>>11493938You have autism, if you didnโt know before you know now
>>11493948Insider here. He's going to learn more about Krypton when he and Supergirl fight Brainiac in the sequel.
>>11494117Gunn has said he has no plans to direct a superman 2. Is he shuffling it off to someone else
Would anyone suggest getting the bane mega fig? Im not syre if i want the two pack or just try to find a loose bane instead. Darkseid is my only mega so far, its ok i guess but maybe my figure is a bit loose for my tastes, so i reallly have no experience with them.
>>11494090I'm not goofing off. This chase shit and encouraging people to buy figures they don't want in bulk to get one they do is ridiculously wasteful and should be banned. I can understand people wanting to buy figures and i don't begrudge that, but this isn't selling one figure someone wants to them. It's pure greed knowing that some people will pay 200 dollars to get a platinum with a bunch of duplicates that are useless to them. This practice needs to be illegal.
>>11494166Gunn just told me he changed his mind.
He just said Superman 3 will be a Henry and David team up against Mxyzptlk.
>>11494173His articulation is kind of limited and his size makes him difficult to pose. He's cool if you like a big giant Bane, but personally, I prefer how the Mafex did it as opposed to Todd.
>>11494101Nta anon but what is this gaslighting? Every grievance he had was reasonable.
>>11494241>you get ambushed with hard questions from your gf that you donโt really have answers for>your house gets broken into and trashed>your dog gets stolen>a guy gets coldly murdered in front of you >react with emotion like a normal person>HURR YOU YELL LIKE WOMANitโs either autism or stupidity, maybe both.
tell me, did Reeveโs Superman cry and scream โlike a womanโ when Lois died in an earthquake?
I think given the state of comics, movies, culture, and the political climate, it turned out about as well as you could possibly hope for. Fillion really knocked it out of the park, too, like that was the role he was born to play or something.
>>11493938What do you not know? You know his origin and the names of all the people in his life before the movie even begins.
>>11494287The only time Superman yelling was appropriate in that movie was when lex shot that guy in the head. The rest of the time he screeched like a woman. It is not how Superman the most powerful being on earth should be reacting. Superman tas gives the best examples of how Superman should react in when angry or frustrated.
If you think the reaction to the interview was a normal reaction for a man in general than you are emotionally immature like a woman.
>>11494287He expects all men to be stoics, on the level of Super workbots. More machine than man. He learned this from ???
This is how he shouldโve confronted then questioned him. Calm but threatening. Much more effective then yelling and throwing shit like a woman.

>>11494382You are the one with autism.
>>11494194Many anons are leakers. I believe you.
>>11494361Itโs pretty normal to get flustered and to argue with your smart alecky gf, but of course you wouldnโt know anything about that.
>>11494383>Ms. Lane.He thought it was going to be fun and maybe flirty. Instead she took it seriously, which he was not expecting. Do you ever wonder why you donโt understand things, or how people communicate? Maybe youโre not just stupid. Maybe you have a condition!
Superman is angry. Bad things happen when Superman is angry.
>>11494440does this appeal to anyone? just make statueshit of something this specific.
>>11494444No. Any Superman figure that doesn't have a sculpted shield like AC1000 and the movie figures is shit.
>>11494446The obsession with having a sculpted shield at the expense of articulation, good joint cuts, proportions, posing, etc is pretty weird. Like is it nice? Sure, but can be outweighed for sure.
>>11494455Nah, if it doesn't have a sculpted shield it looks cheap and gay. All the other shit you mentioned doesn't matter if the shield sucks.
>>11494466This must be your favorite Batman
Looks like no more need to hoard wired cape figures as NML was a false alarm....weird
>>11494468That and Knightfall Bats are Todd's best sculpts of the character, yes.
Another horrible thing about the NML Batman figure....really glossy chest and the finish on the arms does not match. People who got this figure just got screwed.
>>11494481The one there with the plastic cape has a noticeable gap between the shoulders and the top of the torso which harms the look of the figure and makes it look like it has drooping shoulders. The version of the Hush buck with the wired cape which fixes that issue is superior. Or even the Batman vs Spawn Platinum which has a raised symbol but fixed torso.
>>11494484>a noticeable gapAnd you come at me with this bullshit?
>>11494487Anon, the pic shown was me trashing the NML figure. It isn't good.
Will we ever forgive Todd or is the bridge burned?
>>11493692Coronswet has a gay face. I can't place what exactly trips the Zest-o-meter with him, but he just looks like a gayboi.
>>11494523He's married and has a kid, unlike you.
>>11494518It doesnโt matter now anyway
>>11494230Yeah? So its kinda like my darkseid feelings then. Maybe ill wait for an absolute repaint then.absolute bane
makes kelly jones or even aparo bane look small.
>>11492691I did too. Fun line when they weren't re-using molds poorly.
Show me your best dc figure.
>>11494595Which they did right from the start, so...
>>11494518There's no point, his prices have all gone above the quality of figure he offers so there is no reason to buy from him again.
>>11492681 (OP)Can someone explain who the fuck Darkstar is?
>>11494638like Green Lanterns but no one cares
>>11494646Donna Troi was one
>>11494660I still don't get why the Donna Troy figure is worth a ton on ebay
>>11494638Basically imagine the Strike Team from the Shield except Vic Mackey is an alien and instead of Walt Goggins, you have in her prime Vanessa Williams as the fourth member of the team alongside Vic, Ronnie, and Lem.
John Stewart and Donna Troy later joined the team, with Donna taking over as the star of the book.
They were revamped during Rebirth to be armored cops who's full body suits were inspired by Wildfire's containment suit via time travel fuckery to following the events of the DC Metal crossover. These new Dark stars were picked explicitly to kill criminals and only pet who were pro death penalty got picked. Guy Gardner and Tomar Tu (the chicken alien GL) switched to being Darkstar but when Tomar discovered that the Dark stars trapped Guy in his armor in a "I have no mouth but I must scream" hell and were making him murder common criminals like his abusive father against his will, and were planning on doing this to the other Darkstars before the GL could figure out what was done to poor Guy, killed the Controllers and tried to destroy the GLC himself so they could be the only space cops in town before being killed by Hal.
>>11494687People like Donna
>>11494518Fuck him. I was telling people to wait when the line started and the quality leap never came, only bullshit business practices. I'll finish my JL display with NML Batman and Wondy and never buy another figure from this dickwad again
>>11494801Nah. Wonder Woman is a $160 toy and keeps going up $10 every month. You can't afford her.
>>11494861I can get CE WW for 100โฌ but I'm actually waiting for the Godzilla 2-pack. It'll cost the same price, have a better body for WW, and give me my favourite Kaiju. Win-win situation, you negative low-life motherfucker
>>11493442Jesus fucking Christ... You had one fucking job Todd: repaint Darkstar as Wildfire!!!!!
>>11494943Not him but there's far better Godzillas than Todd's 5 poa botch from hiya and shma
What's the best figure if I want old school roid freak bane?
>>11493089Buy the Animated Harley he made and put a Icons/Direct head on it, worked for me.
>>11494481No, the Hush sculpt is dogshit.
What is your favorite dc McFarlane?
>>11493329Where did you get the Troika? Isn't it supposed to come out in AUG/SEP?
>>11493454Some guy bragged about building a patio. Some other guy got jealous or mad or something and proceeded to spend the next four months shitting up the thread about it. Not much else to it.
>>11495140So far? Alan scott and silver age dr fate are up there, cassandra cain bat girl or knightfall batman. Ill be honest and say that the figures dont knock my socks off so i really just buy characters i enjoy. Oh add hugo strange to my list, i like him.

Did Todd announce some kind of army man like Steve Trevor or was I dreaming about GI Joe again?
>>11495354dreaming about todd again? The toxins in the plastic must be working.
>>11495359I think he had a brown shirt and a bunch of badges and ribbons on his chest.
>>11495140I've only bought the three Guy Gardner figures since he's the only DC character I collect and I think they're pretty cool. I don't think I could say I have a perfect figure in my Guy Gardner collection, but those three are pretty close. I can't say I'm a huge fan of how they did the face plates and swappable hair, but I appreciate having those options, but I wish it was executed better. The power batteries that came with them are sadly too small, but I gave them to other figures in my collection that scale better with them. They definitely have more POA than any other figure I have and I have most of them.
>>11495435Big talk.
No pics.
Opinion discarded.
>>11495464Alright alright. Have a picture.
>>11495477You know what? Have another. I think I'm going to split the group between the ones wearing the classic GL costume and the ones in other costumes. It's getting kinda crowded.
>>11495493And I forgot my picture. That's why I don't share pictures here.
>>11495435when the first trailer came out I was so fucking happy that he was still white and still a ginger and they were just calling him Green Lantern
then the movie came out and he was awesome and perfectly played. Guybros eatin good
>>11495497I get the feeling you like Guy Gardner, just a hunch. He might even be your favorite DC character.
>>11495500I was beyond delighted when his portayl by Fillion was spot on. It made all the announcements of him being in other shows coming up that much better. I still wish he had his regular GL costume and I hope he does when he's in Lanterns.
>>11495510World's greatest detective, ladies and germs. Yeah, he's a fun character and he has a great costume. I'm glad he hasn't exploded in popularity like Deadpool or collecting every figure of him would be a nightmare and a half.

If you are a Beast Boy fan, Todd McFarlane hates you, yes you--specifically.
>>11495547SDCC exclusive, Gamestop Canada exclusive, may as well make it alternate timeline exclusive since it's already impossible to find these things in physical stores anymore.
>>11494646Goddamn this cover is so ugly it hurts. I know I read this once but I can't remember anything except that was awful.
I thought around 10k was the lower limit for what Chinese factories will take in an order without huge penalties. Why would McFarlane only make 2000 of a figure? It would be better to not make it at all financially.
>>11495571He's doing anything he can at this point while his company headquarters are still closed. Maybe the other 8,000 were on that trailer full of scalperbait Jokers and will mysteriously show up on ebay during SDCC???
Why did Todd get like this? At the start of the line it was not like this. He was going for a wide audience. He had the best distribution. What changed?
>>11495595His company is run by a bunch of Wormtongues who whispered evil shit in his ear about NFTs and digital collectibles, and he fucked his own ass by spamming Jokerized and vampire pegwarmers to physical stores instead of making them McFarlane Toys site exclusives.
>>11495569I think that guy was the dc version of hot young artist and ended up at image before too long. Ive never read a book he did from this time but i remember him doing batman covers and maybe a issue of robin?
>>11495601And the thing is, the wormtongues are starting to come out in the open and have livestreams and event appearances. It's like they take joy in gutting the rotting scrofula out of a once famous toy company, they talk about how well their initiatives are doing and how many millions of dollars their NFTs have made so far.
>>11495601Those sublines shouldve clearly been online only, but yeah, i think the exclusives and chase variants really hurt things. The production numbers were also a big factor, because weve all got a few multiverse figures for cheap or have waited until they went on clearance. I missed out on red tornado and wave rider because i just expected theyd go on sale eventually.

>>11495616Does McFarlane Toys make a profit off every time an NFT changes hands or are the parasites just using Todd's platforms to promote a scheme that they directly profit from?
>>11495619There's also the issue of too many random unknowns like Max Mercury while classic versions of important characters like Superman and Batman were vastly underproduced.
>>11495547Mcfarlane should never be granted another license by anyone.
>>11495620Max Mercury is an unknown? I knew him and I barely read comics

>>11495620I read the terms of service for their nfts scam and once the license rolls over those NFTs will point to nothing accessible. All dc comics ip images will be removed. A lot of retards are about to get rug pulled lmfao
>>11495547Wait, so there's no standard $29.99 release? You buy the SDCC and only have a 1/3 chance of getting the TT inspired look. Limited to 2000 overall? WHAT?
>>11495699That doesn't really make sense because that would destroy his NFT market when he loses the DC license as no one will buy any of them again since they would just be a rental -- toy licenses are always lost.
>>11495725Keep up with the changes in McFarlane pricing, tragic Beast Boy fan, CEs are now 34.99 standard. There is no 29.99 CE anymore. Due to its rarity apparently these are 39.99 due to McFarlane scam mode going into high gear. Either that or they think CEs will be 39.99 standard by then but that's too insane for me to even imagine.
>>11495620is this the room the Green Arrow and Green Lantern cards I never REDEEMed will lead me to?

>>11495748I didn't say it was illegal because the US rewards predatory business practices. I said that no one will buy any of his NFTs again if they lose access to their fake figures when the DC license is lost.
>>11495750Correct. They thought they were going to be able to scam people for at least another 4-5 years. Show is ending early. This was never designed to last. It was always going to be a rug pull.

Oh and McFarlane refuses to make a new classic Harley.
I'm glad he lost the license.
>we want a new classic Harley
>>11496002I miss card stands.
>>11496051We complained about the card stands so Todd spit on us and said we will just ger 2 hands and a head as if these are 35 dollar Marvel Legends
>>11496176Todd actually listened to feedback?
>>11496187>listened to feedbackNo they realized how much they could save by not including them and retards spun it as โomg the toddfather listened to us BASEDโ
>>11496195Explain the faceplates then. People had been asking for those for a while.
>>11496197No, they were asking for extra heads like ML does. Instead McFarlane came up with faceplates so they could save money while including a few extra pieces of plastic in the box that barely cost anything to produce to shut people up. Now he is mask off and not even doing that.
>>11496202nta but when's the last time we got an extra head with a Legends? Everyone is cost cutting.
>>11496205The new Jean Grey has one. With hair.
>>11496205Literally in the most recent wave. Daken Banshee and Miles all came with extra heads.
>>11496205This year, 2025.
>>11496205Here's another from 2025
>>11496205Here's another example as well.
Small company, please understand.
>>11496227Ironically he claimed being a small company was a strength at the start of this as he didnt need to make a profit so he could go crazy making molds. But now somehow he needs to make a profit.
>>11496229That wasn't me but that reasoning is silly. That's how we got into the terrible reuse we're in.
>>11496197They were stupid and i didnt care for them either but it was a better time to collect the line.
We had fun during the card stand days.
>>11496209>>11496215>>11496216>>11496218I hate the way Marvel Legends figures look so much it's unreal. Thought about getting that black suit Spidey because I figured it would hide the stomach cut but then I saw in hand pics of it and as soon as you move it from the default A pose it looks like shit.
The only figure I own with Marvel Legends articulation is this Conan, and I really really want to replace him as soon as someone else makes something better.
So fucking gross. People shit on McFarts, but if you're collecting Marvel Legends I'm convinced it's just about hoarding characters you recognize regardless of how they look. Same mentality as hoarding funko pops. Garbage, all of them.
>>11496324Hasbronies are very loyal, mousecucks are very loyal, combine the two and you get consoomer slaves the likes of which are rarely seen outside Soi Wars Lego threads.
>>11496334The part that really blows my mind is Diamond Select was making really nice Marvel figures for the same price point as Legends, and they'd include bases, alternate hands, legs, and effects, and they didn't have that atrocious fucking ab cut.
Just tasteless faggotry all around. I'd rather see that cocksucker spam his youdoodle edits than have to look at Marvel Legends bullshit.
Will we ever get a Mafex Green Lantern? Does anyone know of any customizers that take commission work so I can pay somebody else to make me one?
>>11496338>The part that really blows my mind is Diamond Select was making really nice Marvel figuresThey were VERY hit and miss. For every good figure they did you'd get 3 that look like pic related. And no, this wasn't an older figure, it came out like a year or two ago. They were alright, but nothing to write home about.
>>11496346>buying a Miles figureAgain, absolutely zero taste.
>>11496350I was just using it as an example of a shitty looking figure. Why are some of you so stupid/autistic?
>>11496352Why are you cherry picking shitty examples of shitty figures instead of following the discussion? Even that Miles only looks as bad as the best Legends figure.
>>11496353>Cherry pickingBruh. I'm merely pointing out that the line was very hit and miss. Not every figure was as good as that Sue Storm you posted.
>Even that Miles only looks as bad as the best Legends figureKeep coping anon. My guess is you don't even collect any of these toys. Were you the guy who tried saying MLs don't come with alt heads anymore?
>>11496338I'm glad diamond went bankrupt
>>11496051All of mine ended up in the garbage
>>11496362Pretty much. I may have sent a few to my kid with some other cards and figures. It was funny to me that you got a stand for a card that had a blown up comic panel for art. Like, not original art or a cover or some kind style guide, just a comic panel.
>>11496324You say that while posting a Power Girl with those knees and that has very little paint on it. Is this being ironic?
>>11496338Most Diamond Selects can just stand in a neutral pose. There are some exceptions like their Psylocke but a ton just have single jointed elbows and knees and very little torso movement. They may be fully painted but they are essentially just statues.
>>11496359nta I'm not. Sure, the scale meant some wouldn't work with some Legends but the detail and accessories were pretty good for the most part.
>>11496338this is the one that headswaps with Supergirl pretty well right
>>11496460Youโre welcome Jarret
>>11496460That looks terrible lmao.
>>11496460That looks amazing wow.
>>11496460That doesnt look right, looks like some weird older eastern European beauty, not Supergirl-- and neither do her knees
>>11496324It's time to let go of DC Multiverse. I know there was a beautiful allure, a promise to it. The promise that it would be something more artistic and befitting the characters. But its just like Spawn really-- like everything Todd McFarlane makes it eventually turns from art to empty, rote materialism. And as the mask falls away then it's time to say goodbye.
>>11493528Ready to get glued
>>11496756We'll always have the long legs
>>11496324I have both MLs and McFarlanes and MLs are way better in terms of articulation and looks in general. Sure, there are tons of shitty ML figures, there's no discussion about that, but in terms of overall quality, ML blows McFarlane out of the water.
Sculpting used to be way better on McFarlanes but they dropped that when they realised fans only wanted classic characters with no attention to detail
>>11496756>beautiful allure, a promise to itThe worst part is that McFarlane figures can really work. Silver Age Superman and Doctor Fate are amongst the coolest figures I own. The actual issue is that 99% of the line is a damn monkey's paw.
Want Batman? You get all these cool variations but your favourite one won't have a wired cape, good articulation, or the necessary accessories. You love Superman? Your favourite one won't have a wired cape, flying hands (he WILL have trigger fingers), a properly articulated head for flying poses, or a proper head. You like Green Lantern? The fuck are accessories? You like Wonder Woman? You will get exactly one good one and one in a 100 dollar 2-pack
>>11496338Selects biggest problem was how limited the releases were, which got even fewer and farther between post-covid. I think they had like 10-12 slots per year and that included rereleases? Nearly impossible to build teams and tons of major characters were in need of redos from back when they were releasing pure statues early on. Insane they didn't capitalize on X-men 97 more.
>>11496346Eh, that Miles is trash, but it was also easily one of the worst recent figures they put out. Definitely wouldn't say for every good one they put out three bad ones. Their big guys especially put Legends to shame while being priced the same as their standard figures.
>>11496338I don't understand why people romanticise Diamond Select so much, given those figures' articulation was probably the worst articulation on the market. Yes, they looked great most often but just buy a statue at that point
>>11496939In general, they didn't capitalise on X-Men characters as much as they could have but that is to be expected when you have such a limited amount of figures coming out
>>11493661That's a lie.
Hawkgirl's been sold out on the site for weeks. People on Ebay are selling her for $25+
Just get the mace from the Shazam movie
>>11497016>Still doesn't know about "regional availability"You gotta do your homework when buying domestic toys anon. It isn't as simple as entire country sees it in stock at once.
>>11497079Germanon here, why is regional availability a thing in the US anyway? Shouldn't online stores be selling the same shit across the entire country?
>>11497113Because Walmart and Target are cheap and hate their customers, so they don't want to ship cross country to help them get whatever product they want. So they simply refuse to sell to you (or even show you the product is in stock somewhere) if you are too far away from the warehouse/store that has the product.
With Walmart it seems to be an increasingly small range, like under 40 miles or so. Any figure that is remotely in demand just gets cancelled if I order for shipping, pick up or store delivery, and I have had this occur 8 times with multiple figures this year alone. Basically I'd have to not have a job and monitor their website 24-7, then immediately jump in my car and drive to the store they show its in stock at to even have a chance at getting the figure before someone else grabs it. And if I didn't have a job I wouldn't be buying action figures in the first place.
>>11496948Speaking for myself, I just don't need every figure to have a ton of articulation, especially if the trade off is worse sculpt/paint. I collect mostly imports nowadays, but still have a bunch of my DCC/DCD figures from like 10+ years ago that had 11 points of articulation, so Marvel Select's 16 points was at least a slight improvement over that. I don't have a problem with statues, either, though they're more expensive and much bigger space hogs on average.
>In general, they didn't capitalise on X-Men characters as much as they could have but that is to be expected when you have such a limited amount of figures coming outJust drives me crazy they never at least made updated versions of Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean, and Storm from their earlier days when all their figures pretty much were literal statues. Guess I'll be waiting to see SHF's take before deciding between them or Mafex.
>>11497123Should've just got the Mafex's when they came out if you're going strictly imports. Just comparing the Cyclops to the SHF one makes the Mafex look just so much more premium imo.
>>11497120>if you are too far away from the warehouse/store that has the productShould have specified that this is what my initial question was referring to in the first place. Why aren't there 4 or 5 hubs from which everything is sent? Hell, if anything, this all sounds like poor logistics more than anything else. Never ordered from anything but Amazon.com myself but for example, BBTS seems to be working just fine as far as sending packages all across the US goes, no?
>>11497123>especially if the trade off is worse sculpt/paintI mean that's completely reasonable. A guy whom I sold something over Ebay invited me in (local sale) one day and he had tons of Select figures which looked really cool. What I usually complain about is how static and boring figures look when they are not striking poses. After all, it's comic characters we're talking about. But I get it, some people are totally fine with the sculpts and don't require some crazy posing
>though they're more expensive and much bigger space hogs on averageMcFarlane has been releasing quite a few Marvel statues this past year for reasonable prices iirc. Obviously, if you want to get into top-tier statues, the prices are a complete joke
>Just drives me crazy they never at least made updated versions of Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean, and Storm from their earlier days when all their figures pretty much were literal statuesAs one anon (or you) pointed out above, at least the TAS X-Men team should have gotten the new figure treatment at the very least. They're the most popular with basically everyone and their mother
>>11497134>Why aren't there 4 or 5 hubs from which everything is sent?Because the US is a huge as fuck country and Walmart and Target don't want to pay that much for shipping. They have a lot of warehouses across the country, and in some cases they don't even offer an action figure for shipping anywhere but stores themselves.
Is Mister Miracle out already? He's the final Mcfarlane fig I care about
I keep seeing eBay preorder listings and random reviews on YouTube
Please don't tell me I missed out on him...
Iโm getting ready to turn over all publicly available information on mcfarlane toys different scams that they have not even attempted to cover up. I started seriously looking into them myself after the super powers crowd funding. They are guilty of fraud point black for that alone but there anre other things like missing trucks etc. the IRS is about to be knocking on Toddโs door.
>>11497140Hasnt been officially announced yet. He and sandman are target exclusives. They should go up on their site soon
>>11497146What if they're....IN-STORE ONLY?
>>11497146Ok phew, thanks
>>11497156FUCKKKK
>>11496805We'll never see that 22.99 again though.
>>11497189I can't even remember the last fig I bought for that price
maybe silver age Batman or Fleischer Superman?
Todd loves the common man, that's why he keeps his prices as low as he does. He knows how hard the average person works and to overcharge them would be an insult to their value as a person.
>>11497297Todd overcharging is literally a crime. Mcfarlane toys is unironically a criminal enterprise.
>>11497396Overpricing isn't a crime, but chase variant gambling and stealing your own trailer full of toys to scalp them on ebay is. Hence McFarlane Toys headquarters still being closed while feds are combing the offices.
>>11497418>Exploiting customer trust>deceptive pricing >unfair trade practices under the Arizona consumer fraud act>false advertising Mcfarlane toys is getting ready to have a very bad time
>>11497435Blackchair Diaperman.
The contrast between the lines beginning and its end are dramatic
>>11497434And to think, Todd could have just printed money with early winners like Power Girl, Hawkgirl, Zatanna, Starfire, Classic Wonder Woman, and Maxima and never needed to resort to the skullduggery that lead to Mattel getting the license. The budgets would have increased, he'd still have figures on shelves in Walmarts and in stock on Amazon, and he wouldn't have to promote his sold out Superman movie toys from his bedroom.
>>11497435They really waste money on the most absolutely useless new molds.
No one knows who Metron is and yet he has a huge chair they have to make with him that can never be reused. Meanwhile lazy reuse for bigger name characters that could actually use it and get reuse out of it. Not that it matters anyway given the license is lost.
I highly doubt ill be buying or collecting whstever todd does next. Only a few spawn figures or warhammer 40k figures ever caught my eye and even then not enough to purchase either. Itd have to be a very unique mortal kombat figure or whatever game property, im not into the statues even if i think they look pretty solid for the price. Alot of the stunts he pulled or allowed mcfarlane toys to pull with multiverse has actually soured my opinion of the current company even though i like alot of the older figures. Hell, im only holding on now since theyve finally decided to make the characters i like otherwise id have split at the end of last year or when ever they lost their place in the toy aisle since i couldnt just impulse buy a figure. So its not like im angry or whatever but itd take a good effort to get back in to anything they produce once multiverse wraps up.
>>11497584We saw a preview of the MK figures, they looked pretty bad, especially the females. Very low detail, not traditional McFarlane at all. I imagine the clowns he brought in to manage DCMV for 'classic costumes' have their run of the company now and hate sculpted detail
>>11497584Every couple months I think "I want a Spawn figure" but there isn't a definitive, iconic version of the character. Just weird orange and green versions, some throne figure that doesn't come with a cape, just endless versions that all have some fatal flaw that make it a dealbreaker for me.
The Call of Duty Spawn is alright but it has a dinky cape and is unavailable for a sane price on Amazon and ebay. These things should never be out of stock, or if one sells out Todd should immediately print another variation that's easily available. He has an entire range of giant robot monkeys and edgelord angels and shit but the star of the show is flat out unavailable.
On one level I respect Todd for becoming a successful comic artist and starting his own company, but as a customer I only ever fucked over with delays and cancelled orders and can only find his products on ebay. Buying his products is the most awful, miserable fucking experience compared to preorders through any other company in the game.
Without the DC license McFarlane Toys is going to die because the people running the company are incompetent retards.
>>11497598Red MK11 Spawn was the last chance for a well articulated modern Spawn figure. And even it has flaws of course. I got one off ebay used for around 25 bucks a few years ago once I realized the offerings were only going to get worse. Given how badly throne Spawn is sculpted by comparison, I doubt they have much in the way of good sculptors left in their employ.
Also Todd is entirely philosophically against the idea of rerunning figures due to his horrible ebay-based "value"/"collectible" leanings. Like rather than caring people are getting his figures and enjoying them for how they pose or making customs/dioramas/etc he cares how much they're worth on ebay.
So he wouldn't just make a definitive Spawn and just keep re-releasing it like import companies do. Variations which you mention require new molds or at least mold parts which would be a cost proposition and thus a risk, but that is the closest to what he has done. MK11 Spawn and its clones, then Throne, then Spawn+Batman which was a scam 2 pack deal he learned from Hasbro, then CoD Spawn. But each has their own flaws.
>>11497598>>11497649I got the first MK11 Spawn back during the coof and am so glad I ended up with it. After Todd started doing more Spawn figures I figured he do a more definitive version, forcing me to double dip, but he just never did. It's goddamn wild to me that the MK11 Spawn is the best option we're ever gonna get for a Spawn figure.
>>11497649I get cockteasing a line when you're someone like Hasbro or Mattel who can play the long game with collectors, but Spawn is his baby and there should always be a readily available figure.
Like you said, there are endless variations with the same buck but there isn't even a Malbolgia Ruby Collector's Edition with extra hands, an Al Simmons head, and some green sparkle magic effects.
Like, what are you even doing, Todd? Digital collectibles? NFT gifs?
>>11497655Yeah I keep waiting for Todd to release the best Spawn toy he can make. At this point I don't even expect the back half of the chains to be painted.
>>11497659Todd doesn't really have the staff to make the best Spawn he can make anymore. Technically the best Spawn he ever made is probably still the series 24 collectors club exclusive hyper articulated thing in roughly 2003. It's for the most part better articulated than his modern figures since it has arm and thigh cuts and is articulated similarly to an older Marvel Legend. Not to mention it looks better than his modern figures since the old team that learned from the 4 horsemen still existed then. The problem is its insane price on the secondary market due to rarity and its age means that many of them probably have loose joints or other problems by now and so probably aren't even worth the insane prices.
>>11497679Or actually the cross version might be better since that one there isn't accurate to either costume, the old or the new.
>>11497598>>11497649>>11497655>>11497659I have the MK11 Commando Spawn and think it's pretty rad figure. I only paid around 11 dollars for him on Amazon a few years ago.
>>11497708Oh yeah I forgot about that one. He isn't the definitive iconic look though, which is an issue for people who want that kind of figure. He's basically a take on a side look that occurs in some issues and is thus useful.
>>11497708Yeah if I wanted more than one Spawn I would've gotten this one. But I only needed one Spawn for my collection.
Where is everybody getting the Chaos National Defender from? Is he really $250-$300? I thought he was going to be $100 max.
>>11497908I got a guy who knows a guy. You don't got a guy?

>>11498144I actually had to look this up to make sure it wasn't true given DC and Marvel do these weird "pride" comics
>>11498144mmm black lipstick batman, delicious.
Be honest. Will this sell even 1 copy?
>>11498873Maybe. The color scheme is giving me He-Man villain vibes and that has to appeal to somebody.
>>11498951Yeah, you would be a dope if you bought this.
>>11498873I don't hate the colors. But christ, no way this doesn't sit around until it drops on clearance.
the Todd endcaps have been pulled from Walmarts already?
>>11499051>alreadyThat was like two or three months ago, slowpoke.
>>11499104Oh, yeah that makes sense. Physical stores have been trying to minimize how much money they waste on Todd's pegwarmers and he doesn't reprint figures even for the most successful Superman movie since 1978, so why would Walmart want to waste space on empty end caps after the one wave they were sent got instantly bought up by the local scalper?
>>11499051>>11499104Todd's Fake Scarcity is a huge mistake.
I went to a WM today hoping to get a look at the exclusive Super Power's Fortress set but all I really want is the robot, except they had none in store (in fact, they had none of the movie shit, not even the SpinMaster figures or that ugly Funko knock-off Todd shat out of Metamorpho and Supes (there's also that King Shark) that some retailers are sticking in their movie displays - I'm looking at you, GameStop employees).
It's absurd that the movie hasn't been out even 10 days and you cannot find a toy. Best Buy had plenty of the Metamorphos (those are going to be this summer's peg warmer) and some of the Lex figures, and Game Stop surprisingly had plenty of the Ultraman Super Powers and all the rest, save for the Coronswet figure.
It still doesn't surprise me he lost the license and it couldn't have happened to a bigger fool.
>>11499110I still don't understand why he does the fake FOMO thing.
>>11499316>>11499110He does fomo, because when your figures are actually so bad as to be near worthless, you need a way to fool people into thinking they are worth something.
And the best way is to make them rare, to make people see that they sell out fast and so think tons of people are buying them and that they are desirable. It also has a secondary benefit: you won't go broke by losing retail buyers by having too many peg warmers.
It has a negative, that it erodes your reputation and fanbase who begin to drop your line(s) because they can't buy them, but that is a long term concern and they are trying to survive what is essentially an apocalypse of a failed DC line, a failed Spawn line, failed movie lines like Dune and Avatar that went to clearance, and -- worst of all -- tariffs. Very few people seem to put together the whole picture and see why they were in deep shit if they don't reduce production.
>>11499321>-- worst of all -- tariffsAmerican problems
>>11499326Most of McFarlane's audience is in the US so it is a big problem for him. You see the international box office for Superman and how DC figures are far more available in Europe than the US. the DC market is mainly the US and much of Todd's sales are DC. He has those Marvel statues but who knows how well those sell. I see them going on discount all the time because who wants to have a huge statue of Hulk or Venom laying around that just sits there and looks at you.
>>11499321>>11499316McFarlane started to reduce production even before they lost the DC license and were having problems, with for example, the Dune line not selling (which has more to do with figures that sucked ass, than anything else, let's be honest).
For example, they produced only a few of the classic pre-Coluan Brainaic that went with the non-fully Silver Super Powers ship. You can find the silver one at places like Ross and Ollie's, remaindered so really the only ones who profited from his FOMO of the other figure are scalpers. Same with the Superman Red and Blue figures he made, one can be easily found, the other can not.
Same with the first wave he made of of the Earth 3/CSA Owlmen, except that was the Starro BAF, which made those parts expensive for people who wanted to complete the Starro, which knocked out the price for Superwoman, Power Ring and really all of the rest - no one wanted them when they couldn't even complete Starro.
It's all just stupidity on Todd's part. It was happening four-five years ago, so some of the failures you raised were pre-dated by the problems Todd himself helped caused.
