>Available exclusively at Hasbro’s Fans Expo 2025 booth during the ACGHK (Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong) 2025 event from 25th July to 29th July, 2025.

Awesome. Now instead of two threads, there's four.

>>11495417this is something someone made?
>>11495400This problem would be very easily fixed if the one asshole who keeps making them early was rangebanned, but asking mods here to do anything beyond prunning illegal shit is too herculian a task for their tiny brains. Hell, I'll probably get three days just for complaining. Fuck em.
>>11495437not to mention this time he technically did get in first. but he always does this. he prepares it ahead of time, then waits for someone to say he's gonna do it and then bam, before his post is even finished..
>>11495439>he held off until the image limit this timeI'm now convinced we can train this retard to include all the pastebin stuff and post a new thread when we hit image limits -- long before a moderator will ever get off their fat ass to do something.
>>11495417Now have her create the female Autobots to piss Shockwave off.
>>11495451that's the opposite of how it has worked so far. he's a child, he constantly pushes boundaries because that's how you test your environment for safety. unfortunately, nobody here has the power to parent him, and his own aren't doing it, so there's no solution, it just continues forever or until his disability money runs out.
>>11495436Yea it's 3D Printed from a small studio
>>11495358>kinda weird since quetzals have digi legs. They also have head crests, and their 'wing bone' is their pinky instead of their middle finger. Skydive was made back before we had more complete Quetzal fossils (and therefore didn't really have any idea what the hell the thing looked like aside for the fact that it was a big, flying reptile the size of a Cessna). He's rife with anatomical inconsistencies - having those exposed nasal and aural cavities on either side of his eyes as if he had a bare skull being another big one.

OUT OF THE WAY, HOT ROD!
>>11495506I mean we've always known it's the pinky, but that falls well under stylization (as does the skull-esque head) especially for this kind of guy from this era.
head crests though.. i've seen plenty without em. it's probably only the males.
that said, yeah, if early fossils were complete shite, that would explain why they looked COMPLETELY different in my dino books as a kid, instead of long, thin wings, they were practically diamond-shaped, which made no sense.
>>11495414Yes, badly. Any self respecting customizer knows you don't use a blackwash on white.
>>11495515>i've seen plenty without em.Likely old depictions. We know now that both sexes had 'em - though they were bigger and most likely brightly colored on males.
>>11495533oh, if that nub counts as a crest, then yeah.
i find it hilarious they genuinely believe this flying animal had 95% of its weight in the head and neck, and could still stay airborne.
>oh but it's hollowif you ground its bones up into powder and measured the volume, it would be basically all head and neck bones with a little dust left over from the rest.
Will we get more "weaponizers"?
fossilizers and junkions were the most fun TF-thing after combiners to me
>>11495546as fun as they may be.. there's so many limitations, and I don't think they could change them much
>finally get my haslab and it isnt cracked

>>11495549>limitationsskill issue
They are literally unlimited fun
I hate that they are underrated because tf-community is mostly old-ass boomers with imagination that died after they got married
>>11495562why do you think they buy third party? it's the same shit over and over
>>11495553are the toys okay?
>>11495562i spent hours trying to make Transmutate how I want her, and I constantly ran into
>part doesn't have a connector where I need one>the total number of connectors of each type is too limiting>this part doesn't plug into that part, only the other way around, the gold and teal parts are slightly different sizes>this has a built in hinge so it can't be separatedetc etc. I am tempted to get a second one because I've seen a very satisfying version of a fusion of two, but... it would have to be pretty cheap to be worth that.
also I'll have you know my imagination died when I started working full time and stopped getting sleep, and it never came back, and I've never so much as held hands with a girl.

Is it normal for Superion's knees and outward hip ratchets to be pretty soft? I mean, after tightening some screws they're slightly better and it can still do crazy shit like this (and without the need of the weight of the other two Aerialbots to counterbalance, no less) but these ratchets still have like half the strength when compared to Menasor's.

>>11495515>that said, yeah, if early fossils were complete shite, that would explain why they looked COMPLETELY different in my dino books as a kidThe first Quetzalcoatlus skeleton was found in 1971 and consisted entirely of a few wing fragments. That's it. More bits and pieces, including a partial beak, were found between '72 and '75, but it wasn't until 2021 that we finally got a near-complete skeleton. Given that Skydive came out in 2000, so all of the references they would have had available to make him would have been purely guesswork by paleontologists.
>>11495562The thing that bugs me the most about Wingfinger is that we never got a Predacon version of him - literally every other Fossilizer released had a counterpart, but Wingfinger never did, meaning the only way to make the Predacon version of the combiner was to have the Maximal Wingfinger decide he was going to fuse with them for some reason.

Like I showed it very clearly, put that part in all caps, but.. I didn't expect anyone to pay full price, let alone within 8 hours of the listing going up.
>>11495804looking it up, surprisingly yes, she was sometimes depicted with wolves for legs. like entire front halves of wolves, and then maybe a fish tail.. OR with tentacles. Huh. I thought scylla was one of those we never got a good description of, and that if we did it was just kind of vague and amormophous and tentacley.

>>11495811in a couple of movies she's a squid. I think in one of the old The Odyssey movies she's a hydra or something. It's interesting because unlike a lot of things she's adapted to be more boring and lame than she actually was.
Also fun fact: In Paradise Lost, either Sin or Death is described in exactly the same way as Scylla is, and the other one is described as a whirling vortex or something like that. I always thought it was interesting that Scylla and Charybdis got adapted into wholly different characters.

>>11495813The designer of Nicee "Iceberg" was fired from BFB so he's been working freelance for several companies including Animester. Its speculated that the Animester jet is a modified version of the prototype initially pitched as Bigfirebird Scarlett Princess. Interestingly, Animester's is a cross promotion with the mobile game Honor of kings, resembling pic related just loli-fied in Iceberg's usual style, so there's a good chance it'll be green.
At the end of this video you can see BFB Scarlett Princess and it's very different as their version was also modified after Iceberg left.

>>11495793>>11495804She's described in The Odyssey as having "twelve feet and six long necks, each with a head bearing three rows of sharp teeth. Her loins are girdled by the heads of baying dogs". I don't recall any mention of her having a humanoid female upper torso, especially since the 'six necks' are separate from the dog heads and are the ones she uses to snatch up passing sailors with, which gives off a very non-humanoid impression. As far as I can tell, any depictions of her with a human torso were stylistic choice by artists, not based on what she's actually described as looking like in the actual source material.
>>11495866yes but some of those artists do include ancient sculptors, we've found some figurines like that. which figures.
these are also the guys who invented the hekatonkheires / centimani, who have 50 heads and 100 arms, but they end up drawing them with like six arms and three heads on the vases.
>>11495853>The designer of Nicee "Iceberg" was fired from BFBThat's good to know cause his were the only good designs from BFB

>go to a few stores
>Heatwave is actually selling better than Sky-Byte
I absolutely did not see that coming. Sky-Byte really was a flavor of the week. I dont see anyone talking about him, already forgotten. I for one have decided that the original looks objectively better in almost every aspect. Why o why do I still yearn for the new one. I guess it must be that the new one is surely more fun as a toy. The old one is janky. Anyway, looks like it might be safe to wait for a sale.
>>11495909Pulse STILL hasn't shipped my Sky-Byte yet. No idea what's taking them so long while people who DIDN'T order directly from Hasbro are already getting theirs...
>Got some so-called premium items (Missing link cordon, MPG Super Ginrai)
>joints are so floppy that I forced to put some polish so at least the limbs won't fall apart when grabbing them
>the polish solved the floppy joints but stripped off paint as it sticks the joints together
I really don't like how solving one problem resulted in another problem considering the prices of these things.
Yes I know even the old MP was like that too (the paint is literally being chipped off from the metal spine of of the old MP seeker when I got it out of the box), but that is like 15 years ago. You would think they solved the fundamental already.
>Rubber tires still melt plastic

I'm glad I have him as he's one of the nicest painted toys I own (every single sculpted detail is painted and the white plastic even has this gorgeous purple colour-shift effect) but I do kinda want the new one just 'cuz it looks more fun to actually pose.
Side note, I got Selects Cordon for dirt cheap recently, (very well) pre-stickered and with an extra weapon. Never handled this mold before but I love it, feels like a more refined version of ER Wheeljack, who I also like a lot. Plus he's a police car so of course I love him.

I also realize the problem it's not so much of the polish but tt/hasbro don't prime when they paint over metal. It is very different when dealing with plastic vs metal when it comes to painting.
Though I found it really strange considering TT also makes Tomica. those are diecast but their paintjobs are really tough unlike transformers figures.
Anons what are your opinion on an upcoming Bruticus?

Transformers retro wishlist, anyone?
I'm personally hoping for a rerelease of the legacy g1 prime with an included earthrise trailer. Also a new Jazz mold based on the toy design with shoulder cannon and door wings. Plus, general toy redeco reissues of various wfc earthrise/kingdom figures
>>11496326Im happy with my uw version. Too hollow, expensive, small, and hate the frame with chunks of robot squares sticking on them. Legacy Bruticus will probably be more visually appealling though, but not enough for me to replace my uw

>>11496519Takara and Bandai get along and reissue G1 Jetfire.

First time back to the comic book store since before the convention
And they got some new stuff in
MISB Scourge for about commander class price, not too bad I think
They had some other new stuff too, including an RiD Prime, some carded autobot brothers
And a boxed Super Ginrai buried in the display. Once my wallet is feeling better I'll give it a serious look, see if it's original or a reissue at least
>>11496540I'll also say I've never actually had a go with this mold before, only the redos, TFCC Scourge and Velocitron Scourge
>>11496519I think my big two, not including new molds, would be a proper Prowl and a toy deco based Grapple
>>11496524Oh yeah, I'm definitely hoping for a retro starscream/seeker mold
>>11496527If I were a conspiracy theorist I'd say that the reason we haven't gotten a new stepper yet is because the 86 Jazz mold has no shoulder cannon port or door wings.

>>11496835I guess, it just feels weird to have a Beast Wars Unicron movie without the Beast Era characters most associated with him. I feel like you could get away without much explanation for them, just say they’re former Predacons/Maximals who betrayed their species for Unicron
>>11496840like
antagony fits well enough (I know nothing of others or who else is in that pic, so fill me in) kind of, you don't need to establish Inferno to have her, but... the Blendtrons? First you have to explain the beast wars, the pods, the vok planet buster, then you have to explain fuzors, then Unicron making his own... I mean I guess you could skip that, and just have him say he combined two animals for each of his minions, but.. I get the strong impression they were not trying to get that ambitious with this movie. Least of all have to make toys of all of them. there's a reason we got four maximals and one never transformed. they A) had zero faith in it and B) wanted somewhere to go UP from here, if it did well.
>>11496841The other two are Shokaract and Cataclysm. Shokaract's whole deal is that he was a lowly Predacon who stumbled across Dark Essence/Angolmois Energy/Unicron's lifeblood and used it to enhance himself and others to take over Cybertron, overwriting the BM future. I was mostly inspired to include them instead of the Terrorcons because BTS posts showed that they already had full models of Rampage, Inferno, and Cheetor and I think it would flow better if the villains were Predacons rather than three random Terrorcons.
>>11496846oh yeah the terrorcons were a lazy cop-out.
>CataclysmSo you'd expect him to be somewhat of a model reuse of the movie's Cheetor? Or..

>>11497209>Perfect qc but shoulder joint and knee could be tighter. Need to use screwdriver.Seems like a common issue then, I did the same for the hips and knees
>>11495612QC isn't perfect on min (or maybe I'm just more picky about these things) I wish Silverbolt's wings were less floppy in robot mode and the chest panel closed better when in plane/torso mode. Also the completely unneded protusion in the landing gear makes storing Superion's head more of a hassle than it should be as it doesn't sit flat easily inside Silverbolt's body, so you need to be extra careful to not bend the antenna when closing it.
But all in all I'm really liking this thing.
>latest Titan and the previous released Titan
I get it if they make new mold for metroplex and fortress Maximus- that mold being the first Titan figure did have issues. But besides the chest door keep falling off, tryticon is nearly perfect and so as with the other titan designs

I feel like a new Metroplex is right around the corner, especially since they just released Trypticon again and his previous mold is really old now. This set is a QC trashfire.
The only joints that aren't floppy on the Ground Soldier are his neck and forward/back hip swivels, and the slots on his backpack won't even tab in place because of plastic flash. His car mode hood can't stay tabbed into the front either.
The Elite Seeker isn't much better, he's got so much plastic flash that he can't transform smoothly, and the ER Seeker Mold is visibly suffering from some real bad degredation at this point, especially in the shoulders.
>>11497408>The only joints that aren't floppy on the Ground Soldier are his neck and forward/back hip swivelsUh, now I worry that the Runamuck reissue is going to be exactly the same.

>>11497471It does not but I'm not digging him out to take pictures of it
All of my TFs from UT-CW are completely fine. Clear plastic is just a scapegoat used to justify hasbro cutting costs on plastic even further.
>>11497459Yep, and they also tend to use the worst possible choices when it comes to putting strain on it. Runamuck had significant strain on the chest flap, and people's copies did break because of it.
>>11497474In from UT to CW, clear plastic was mostly used for insets rather than entire parts made and painted for it. Car doors had windows with frames made from normal plastic while the windows themselves were cast in clear plastic, as opposed to the entire car door just being a solidly-molded piece of clear plastic.
Clear plastic has no business being made from frame or load-bearing pieces, such as the case with Animated Swindle in particular.
>>11497452Clear plastic windows are fragile (unless they're inserts) and there's literally nothing inside of a transformer worth looking at
The only time it works is with really specific colors (like dark red) or if they paint something metallic behind it (like siege sideswipe or 86 prime)
Light piping on the other hand is dogshit that I've always hated, makes your figures look dead in the eyes 99% of the time and I do not consider "hold this figure up to the power of the sun to make their eyes glow a little(maybe)" to be a fucking play feature
>>11497479>Light piping on the other hand is dogshit that I've always hategas chamber
You know what I’d think would be an easy choice if they ever bring back Core Class? The CR/RID Spychangers. You could even redeco them several times over to match all the different releases they had over the years.

>>11497485So glad you agree.
That being said, I'm twice as worried about the upcoming Devastation Sideswipe release. On one hand there was already the risk of him having the Red Alert head, but if the QC for the grunts set is that bad, it could be equally bad for him.
>>11497452they changed the plastic
in the 90s, clear plastic was durable as fuck, maybe even more durable than opaque stuff. it was rock fucking hard.
now, according to people who are buying a lot of new toys, it aint.
>>11497490Energon-Megatron's clear plastic breaks pretty easily, despite the thickness.
>>11497467what annoys me is how often the eyes are lightpiped but painted over, and
A) they could have used clear paint for the eyes to maintain the light while still tinting them to the show-accurate color, or
B) they never remolded this as a new character who could properly use the lightpiping.
oh and another issue, particularly evident here
>>11497479 is that they are not using luminescent plastic, as they should be. Everyone has seen the neon glow plastic, Lego uses it all the time. There's zero reason not to make all lightpiped parts out of it, as it catches light so well.
>>11497493is that so? Huh. I had stopped buying transformers by then. I still occasionally thought about it, I was gonna get the lion arm guy, but then they massively compromised him for budget reasons, so that was a nope.
Got AOE Prime. It's alright. I did want it, don't get me wrong, but I don't really see the value (got it on sale for 35), transformation is good but nothing mind-blowing, the lack of the giant gun is also dissapointing (I know it's supposed to become the shield when he gets the sword, but they still included an arm blade), molded plastic colors look a bit better in hand, but the paint just dissapoints me for a leader, the old voyager had better paint distribution and nicer colors.
On the positives, I like how bulky he ends up, even if it's inaccurate, the giant sword and the possibility being pretty great all around.
>>11497482Unfortunately, I think that core class died because of cyberworld. But they'll probably come out with some cyberworld car bot that looks similar enough to a spychanger eventually for a custom.
Honestly, core class dying to make way for cyberworld is my biggest conspiracy theory with transformers right now. I don't even think it's necessarily a bad thing outside of the lack of elbows, as having actual playsets and an entire line dedicated to the size class gives them more breathing room to do fun stuff. It's like a sequel to the old tfprime era cyberverse line.
>>11497473>It does not but I'm not digging him out to take pictures of itIf someday you dig him out and take a look at those hinges, you will remember my post and think "this guy was right", I assure you.
>>11497490>in the 90s, clear plastic was durable as fuck, maybe even more durable than opaque stuff. it was rock fucking hard.Anon, that's the whole problem. Clear plastic is hard, in other words, not flexible at all, that's why it was more prone to get stressed when used in joints (like ball joint cups or pinned pieces).
>>11497515One of the translucent plastic connection points on my RID X-Brawn broke last week. Thankfully he still transforms just fine but i can't say it leaves me comfortable. Those Autobot Brothers use way too much translucent plastic.
>>11497518Yeah, the ball joints on Prowl's doors are particularly notorious
Me and the boys, about to cause a ruckus
>>11497496>the lack of the giant gun is also dissapointingWhat giant gun?
>>11497518>Those Autobot Brothers use way too much translucent plastic. The ball joint cups on my Prowl sideskirts/car doors got cracks many years ago, they still stay in place but I need to be careful to not make it worse.
>>11497486I feel like most people would at least be interested in them since they’d be the first time any of those characters have gotten (afaik) fully articulated figures
>>11497499I guess I could see that. I do wonder how the budget is split between Generations, Studio Series, and Mainline
>>11497519That's the only reason I don't have a RID Prowl. Got Sideswipe and X-Brawn and I've always tried to handle them very carefully, but X-Brawn's legs are a serious pain to fold up properly when going to car mode and my grip slipped.
At first I was excited Sideburn was getting a new figure, but god the new one is dogshit compared to the original. I doubt Prowl will get a new one, but I do wish someone would make more durable door replacements for him.
>>11497490I can confirm this. At least with some late 2000's figures. I remember man handling and thrashing my toys around when I was a kid but rarely did a clear plastic part ever crack or break. It's definitely hasbro cheaping out on the plastic.
>>11497528Clear plastic is fine when it isn't under constant stress. Clear plastic tabs, pegholes, ball joint cups, pinned hinges... Those are the problem.
>>11497499Good news, Grimlock's gun arm has a hidden 5mm port
>>11497527Yeah, they should really redo Side Burn at some point. I feel like someone at Hasbro got their wires crossed and saw that Side Burn was retooled into a Shadow Striker and just decided they could combine his design and Cyberverse Striker's together and it would somehow turn out good. They, at the very least, should have retooled the front to make it more accurate to Side Burn specifically
>>11497531Hence why it's an issue that Hasbro casts entire parts out of it now, SS86 Jazz and the recent Datsun mold are real problems because of it.
>>11497479I agree with light piping, it's pointless most of the time and sometimes figures even have the eyes painted over leaving an ugly block of clear plastic on the back of the head for no reason. If only all figures had great light piping like siege shockwave. I don't know what kind of black magic they did with him.
>>11497515well yes, you still had to not be a moron about the design
But it was capable of being perfect ball joints without any problems. It helped that back then, not everyone had to have like six different joints in the ankles alone. Inferno has nothing in his feet or his wrists. But he did have hinged opaque flaps connected to clear parts, opaque balls in clear sockets, thin spikes of clear plastic on the elbows and knees, and mine hasn't had so much as a blemish in 30 years despite me tossing it into a box with a bunch of other transformers.
whereas modern clear plastic seems to sometimes be broken right in the package, and other times the transformation breaks it.
>>11497528Cheaping out on the plastic AND the designs.
>>11497531exactly, like, instead of making it just the window, they have to make it the entire door, because they'd rather spend on paint than on making the door two separate pieces of plastic.
>>11497532woooo i love ZZ Top
>>11497532nice. Have you gotten any of the little quick changers yet?
>>11497523AOE Prime in his evasion alt mode used one of the giant guns he used in DOTM as his standard rifle, and he kept it as his gun when he got his then new custom truck alt mode. When he gets his new arm guards with the sword, he also gained a new shield that used the giant gun as a base. The new toy references the shield/gun connection, but he should still have the standalone gun since he still had it for a good while in the movie and the new toys is technically his pre-knight sword version since he doesn't have the new forearms he gains when he gets the sword.
>>11497536That's his evil, Anon.

>>11497243>Chest doorFrom what I can tell, the door supposed to work in theory. But with how large the pieces make up the body are, TT/Hasbro factory can't assemble them precisely enough to make the design work 100% of the times.
On my copy, the main 2 pieces that made up the body have 1mm gap between them and the door's tabs are barely 1mm themselves- they can't reach locking mechanism. They should have gone with a hard locking system or magnet.
Not going try to fix this. I did some works on Tidal Wave's knees. You can definitely tell whatever tools they are using in assembly; they can tighten the screws s lot tighter than most people can by hand.
Though, with how large the Titans are, without serious defects I doubt many people would double dips the same figure with additional improved functions.
Would people already have a version of Trypticon going to get another one if the new Trypticon gets swivel claws, proper integration with Siege Brunt, and better chest door while everything else is the same?
>Making another new connection systemWhat were they thinking?
conspiracy theory: someone very high up at hastak really really likes titan masters and that's why every line has to have at least one new titan master release
>>11497706While I tend to be 50/50 on the old Internet, I like the idea of people being able to easily connect with each other, i despise how corporate and algorithms have ruined most of the internet, social media especially. I am sick of seeing shit I don’t like just pop up on my feed because the algorithm knows I’ll react to it in some way, it drives me nuts. Say what you will about 2010s era internet, but at least you have a halfway decent conversation with someone without getting ragebaited every 5 minutes.
>>11497727I'm not complaining, I love Headmasters. You know, looking back at it, it is a bit weird how many post-1987 Headmasters didn’t get new toys during Titans Return.
>>11497736yep. it was truly wonderful. the freedom was exhilarating, and it led to wonderful places. Because when you have the freedom to pretend to be anyone you want, and not ever have to see the people you're talking to again... eventually you think "wait, what if I try.. pretending to be myself? If nobody likes it, I can just leave." and so people opened up. And that opened up a whole-ass renaissance of ~perspective.~ People who were monolithically certain about things were exposed to dissent, people who felt on the fringes were exposed to the existence of kinsmen they never knew about. And we all kinda settled into an okay mindset where we understood nothing is ever so right that it's "consensus" or so wrong that it's literally unheard of.
then the fucking phone people came...
>>11497742This might just be my zoomer brain talking, but I’ve never really minded the lack of internet anonymity social media brought. I like having a standard I should live up to so I don’t go off the deep end. I also kind of like it because it means people who do awful things, like stealing charity money or something similar, get called out and (somewhat) punished for doing something shitty. I do think the internet goes overboard sometimes, but it’s always done that, even during the old internet *cough* Kiwifarms *cough*
>>11497743yes that's a very zoomer thing to think

>>11497743look into 4chan history once in a while
when real atrocities happen, people get tracked down. Back before all this thoughtcrime nonsense that makes it more illegal to film an act than to do it (seriously the french started this and they fucked it hard), anyone cruel and fucked up enough to, say, light their cat on fire, were fucked up enough to photograph it and put it up online.. and when you do that, you get found. and he did. and we made memes about it. which was the style at the time.
>>11497744indeed, but I think this is one of the better ones. he can be taught.
>>11497749>>11497750i like how the .. what would you call it, underspray? around the wrists.. leads to an additional layer of color separation. Probably not intentional, and not very GOOD color separation, but still. also makes it stand out from the 86 one.
>>11497759>thoughtcrimeI’ve never understood why people say this when someone is called out for doing something shitty. The whole point of thoughtcrime is that it’s something someone thinks about doing, if they get caught doing something then it’s not a thoughtcrime
>>11497736I'm not complaining about more titan masters either it's just funny how every new generations toyline has to get one new titan master
>>11497768I see you missed the entire point of what I said. I'll try to summarize and walk you through it again
>Maybe having no anonymity is better, because at least people get caught for shit>no dude, even back when people usually did have anonymity, if you really did shit? You'd get caught>the reason for that? Because people would RECORD their crimes, making them easy to catch. Nowadays, people act like the recording is worse than the crime, so people do that a lot less.>Like for example, this one time, with this guy and his cat..Make more sense now?
>>11497770I blame that more on HasTak's insistence of drip feeding certain teams every year. Like we just now are getting the last of the Decepticon Headmaster Juniors and I guarantee next year that they’re going to do the same thing with the Autobot Powermasters
>>11497771Sorry, I understood what you meant, I just hate the way people use the term thoughtcrime nowadays.
I feel like people still record their crimes, however, because a lot of people feel pride in what they’ve done and want other people to know they did it even without anonymity. I remember there was this big TikTok account that recorded themselves abusing their dog because they thought people wouldn’t care
>>11497743I'm sorry to say this anon but the normalization of social media has resulted in people having no qualms saying the most insane bullshit without shame, and getting increasingly less blowback for it. The kind of shit people came to 4chan to joke about ironically people are saying with full-throated confidence on TV these days.
I feel like an anonymous space is important for people to be allowed to talk about silly embarrassing shit without it following them forever, or having a weird fucked up stalker tracking them down because of a disagreement over their favorite waifu. This kind of place was useful for women, too, because it was harder for people to get weird and creep on them thanks to anonymity. The blowback is that this also fostered no girls allowed misogyny stuff so that's why you either see less or they're smarter about being quiet.
Anyway, robot ass?
>>11497773unfortunately the only autobot powermaster anyone cares about that isn't big O.P. is getaway, and outside of one other power/godmaster the molds were redecoed so you can't repurpose most of the show characters as the western variants.

>>11497736) like it is insane to me the kind of stuff people will say because they know it’s vaguely offensive to some other group of people.
I guess I should have phrased my reply a bit better, I have no issue with anonymous spaces online, heck, I’m currently using 4chan, I just don’t, in theory, mind sites like Twitter or Instagram where anonymity isn’t really a thing, to a degree. But I totally understand the benefits of anonymity, especially to those who would be shunned just because of what they physically are.
>>11497789But we’ve hit bump limit
My Walmart used to have an entire section for Transformers.
Checked it today, that's been reduced to just this one tiny column, which is filled with One crap and lots of One-Bumblebees and Devastation Optimus figures. Literally no place to stock anything bigger than a deluxe.
Should I just stop bothering with Walmart for Transformers now?

>>11497784Ironically, the first Powermaster were getting next year is the one that way redecoed, so I could totally see them getting him out of the way since the others are pretty much the same on both sides (I know Getaway was technically redecoed in the Masterforce anime, but the original Lightfoot toy wasn’t)

He barely was able to speak, it was a total shocker!

As the tide washed on the beaches, and dawn turned into night,
They stood and waited to see Wheelie's dead hide.
Nothing washed up, not even the wash up
Everyone thought it was tragic -- especially Kup!
He kicked the sand and shook fist at the sky!
"Why, Primus, couldn't it have been me?! Why? Why?!"
Suddenly, a whizzing sound on the sand
Had made Kup quickly stand
He saw that the line on his rod was taught
And that the other Autobots
Were all pulling... so Kup joined in!
They all tugged and tugged until suddenly then-
It was Wheelie's corpse! Swollen and mangled.
In his gears a bit of seaweed was tangled.
His eyes pitch black and his Spark well gone
Wheelie was deader than a dead Brawn.
The Autobots stood in solace. It was Rodimus who spoke first:
"Well, my friends, this is simply the worst."
"Wheelie was a good bot. Gone long before his time."
"What? No. I mean Kup lost his last line."

-Swapped the springs for primes hips with ones I took from a pen. Not really sure of it works. I can't hear many audible clicks, but it retains it's stance with all the armor and after testing, it's not damaging the ratchets.

So, finally got my hands on the Transformers Universe (2008) Vector Prime! I wasn't collecting when the original came out, and I specifically went for this version of the mold for a few reasons - one, I like all the black (especially in alt mode), two, this version is the only one with a painted sword and hilt, and three, this one has no electronics (don't get me wrong, electronics are cool and all, but they really don't age well, especially if they're NIB and the original batteries have been left inside all this time...).
I still can't believe how much toys have shrunk over the years - both Universe and Legacy Vector Prime (without upgrades) here are actually Voyagers, but you'd never guess they were the same size class by looking at them - especially since the older mold has more features packed into it than the newer one does.
>>11499018Both characters in a more neutral pose - now that I finally have a version of VP that uses his original mold, I can do a proper comparison between the two. Glaring shrinkage aside, the newer VP is very clearly missing a bunch of details due to being a Jhiaxus retool - he's missing the skirt armor, his wing-cape's armature has far less articulation, his shoulder pads are tiny and don't angle up all the way, and he's completely missing the wrist guards; he also doesn't have Safeguard, though that was to be expected due to Hasbro's apparent modern allergy to minicons. On the other side of things, the old VP isn't exactly flawless, but he's certainly better off - while he lacks the modern advances in articulation (namely the rotating wrists, a waist, and ankle rockers that I've become so accustomed to these days), he can actually rotate his calves and his forearms; the latter being important because it gives him the articulation to cheat some cool slashing poses with his sword that would have normally required those previously mentioned rotating wrists. His sword, while looking pretty cool, is made of a soft plastic, and it sadly doesn't seem to want to fit in his hand all that well; his wing-cape parts are made of the same soft stuff, and the right one on mine came slightly warped right out of the box due to the way he was packaged.
Safeguard is neat, and turns into a little spaceship that doubles as a gun that can mount to VP's wrist gauntlets, and the Cyber Key, while now pretty much just decorative now that he has no electronics, still looks cool and has a backing piece not present on other Keys that features the symbols of all the other planets from the show, painted in shiny chromed silver and outlined by the bubbles on the front part of the Key itself.
>>11499020Alt mode, and the primary reason for me picking this version of VP - the almost entirely black spaceship looks badass. This thing makes the Legacy version's ship mode look kinda dinky by comparison - VP's wings extend further to the sides to make it look wider and more imposing, he's got a proper bridge with a port on top to mount Safeguard for more firepower, there's a button just in front of the bridge that can launch a springloaded missile, and the top part of his backside looks a lot more armored than Legacy's exposed wiring. His sword also has a dedicated place to stow (in the side of the nosecone - the hilt makes a stabilizer that mirrors the static one on the opposite side), and VP's toes become a pair of double-barreled cannons on the ship's underside. In fact, the ship's underside in general looks far better than Legacy's - pretty much the only thing the newer VP does better in alt mode is that it has actual thrusters on its back, while the old one only has a set of vague rectangle shapes molded onto his thighs in that general area. I really li
Honestly, I think I prefer the older toy overall, even though it has a much simpler (yet cleaner) transformation and has 2008-era articulation.
>>11499021>I really liI have no idea why that just cut off for no reason. What I was about to say was that I like the more defined shape to the old VP's ship mode versus the rectangular shape of the Legacy one - as a former Elite Dangerous player, I was immediately reminded of the Anaconda-class Multirole Frigate, but with wings.
>>11498881>a cargo jet that can contain the smaller jets. While this is great in theory, the scale becomes a problem.
He should just come with a "launching platform" that's a flight stand for all 5, that then becomes the frame of superion.

>>11499865>he wants to stare at frilly pink kibble all dayYou're the fag here. Real men crave square, shitass sci-fi bots. Take your Freudian hangups and blow them out your tailpipe.
>>11499872I would rather jack off to this awesome shit over "female" Autobots.
>>11499865yeah, my type of fembot is Path Finder, what of it?
>>11499873just look at Optimus Prime's rigid grill structure... hnngg..

I could see it. Blue's more my color, though.

Saw this on Cults just now. Bought a sparkless seeker (with targetmasters) for $15. Gonna print a head make my own OC fem-seeker.
>>11499861oh right, someone was asking for that! how nice of you to provide.
>>11499869Ima be honest with you
had i known Hot Wheels had designs like this, I would have been way more into them. The only cool ones I got were from happy meals, and then at random because it was pretty hard to be a boy in the 90s without.. just acquiring hot wheels.
my retarded stepbrother left them all out in the rain, it's fine, whatever.
>>11499947well that didn't work
Bone Shaker looks nice, I might get it. Now let me check how the other Hot Wheels lo-
Twin Mill looks like dog shit
>>11499989Yeah the only ones I tended to get were the ones that looked like animals or monsters or space vehicles. Matchbox tended to have more of these so once I understood the difference I looked more at Matchbox, but they were never my "thing," just a toy I'd get now and then if they were cool.
I was a Beast Wars kid so I was never into vehicles at all.
A couple favorites though:
https://hotwheels.fandom.com/wiki/Zombot (I had the 1996 Black and Red one)
https://hotwheels.fandom.com/wiki/Vampyra (1994 purple)
https://hotwheels.fandom.com/wiki/Eevil_Weevil (I had the 1995 Orange one)
https://hotwheels.fandom.com/wiki/Radar_Ranger (I had the silver one but god that G2 Megatron looking deco one is sexy)
https://hotwheels.fandom.com/wiki/Rodzilla (1995 chrome one)
>>11500025haha same
but I do remember ascribing special powers or tech gear to my hot wheels.. the one covered in alligators I said like.. those are magic tattoos that come to life..
anyone get their microscope boy yet? he's shipping
>>11500047ooh that's fun. I can't really remember how I played with my Hot Wheels. I think I played with them more as tactile toys than as "story" toys, which is probably why they weren't my favorites. I was really into Lego but I played with Lego more as action figures, preferring the figures and accessories and animals to building stuff with blocks.
I got out of Transformers around the end of Transmetals 2 and Beast Machines, and didn't get back into it until college with Prime (first "modern" tf was, of all things, Cyberverse Movie Soundwave,) so it took me years to really appreciate vehicle modes. I feel like in the 90s you had more of a split between the type of boy's toys you got - I was into dinosaurs, monsters, and animals, and after your post I asked a couple friends and they said they weren't "vehicle" kids either. But I knew kids that were big into motorcycles, cars, and wrestling stuff too. I feel like tastes are more homogenized now from what I see from kid's lines
>>11500073indeed.. we just.. we had it better. I think we can objectively say we had it better. and people are still trying to milk that. I severely doubt 30 years down the line, anyone is going to be milking the shit they made recently.
>>11499787>iirc hasbro has said that western consumers and retailers hate things being packed in vehicle modeI'll admit I'm one of those people who hates TFs being packaged in vehicle mode. I display almost all my figures in bot mode, and so being packaged that way makes it TONS easier to spot glaring QC problems, especially on the figure's face and chest.
That said, this doesn't excuse Hasbro's usual packaging from having boring graphic design (I hate the plain, red, blocky "Transformers" logo), cheap materials (though this has admittedly improved over this past year or so), muddy, over-rendered art, and a general lack of any imaginative bios/lore on the backside. Seriously, I just picked up the Hook and Long Haul two-pack a couple days ago, and it's gotta be one of the most boring boxes I've ever seen for a toys at such a high price point (plus, closed boxes suck).
>>11500083A lot of the new toy brands are flash-in-the-pan licensed gimmicks (stuff like Garten of Banban,) which we had too, but we had a lot of other brands that are still on the shelves now, like Power Rangers, Transformers, TMNT, DC/Marvel, and stuff like that. Jurassic Park is extremely enduring for a licensed brand though to a point where I'd say it's almost more of a toy brand.
Other than the odd anime toy, which have their own weird kind of half-life between the toy and collectible aisles, I'm not sure what modern brands even have toys. I'm looking at the Target toy section online and can't seem to find a single brand made this decade that isn't a one-off for a movie.
>>11500099>and a general lack of any imaginative bios/lore on the backside.they can't do this because of Canada. They have to have stuff in french and other languages on toy boxes for there, so they just don't do lore anymore.
>>11500063my local target has him according to the website.. if I can't find G1 preceptor at Ollie's I might get this one..
(perceptor having a tank mode is important to me.)
>>11500083Toys peaked in 1985 when G.I. Joe released the USS Flagg. Nothing since has really come close to that.
>>11500120The Flagg is an aspirational toy that you dream about after seeing in a catalog, but not something that you actually play with. It's more of a coffee table than a toy.
>>11500115you can sort of do the tank mode on this one but it doesn't tab together that firmly. They remolded some parts compared to the SS Perceptor
>>11500129it's a lot more fun to launch skystrikers off of than a mere coffee table.
But yeah, despite it being a glorified table with GI Joe logos, the flagg was still the peak of passion for toys.
>>11500120what about Fort Max?
>>11500153Fort max was impressive, sure, and more playable than the Flagg, but the size and sheer audacity of selling the Flagg in stores is why I think the flagg gives fort max the axe.
wouldn't it be fucked up if broadside got a new titan class toy in the gi joe x transformers collaborative subline where he became the flagg
>>11500182that would be super badass
>>11500108that plus the lawyers have made them put a customer service line on the back of the box in 16 languages. no room for squat else. fucking lawyers. How hard is it to just do different packaging in each country? it's printing a card.
>>11499861>back in the 70s, when Unicron grew his hair out
>>11500229he seriously looks like he's ready to wango tango
>>11498939just got mine, and yeah what
>>11499079 said. he's completely fine, but at some point between finalizing the CAD model and the final production model, they made two changes that don't impact the figure unless you autistically try to follow the instructions to the letter:
-the hands changed and don't fold in flush (the same reason animated lockdown's hands can't fold out all the way)
-his chest doesn't open the full 90 degrees. this could maybe chip the paint on the chest or head if you rush it because there's barely any clearance now.
>>11500063watch out he comes pre used and abused
>>11499873Man, I love the old TF marketing art. Would love to have some framed posters of this and other pieces of TF media to accentuate my displays someday.
A new colour for Megatron's shins
>>11500378Haven't there been some Megatrons already released with the more bluish grey legs? Wonder if that is an early batch thing ( like SS86 Optimus' misassembled heels) and all the later Megatron's will have this grey colored leg.
>>11500428The fact that they have a sample with these legs gives me hope that the final product will be the same, or at least as close as possible, because I don't know if they have the budget to paint every single figure like this. But then again, the realist in me can't help but linger on the grey-blue shins
>>11500455Factory stolen sample with blue doesn't seem like something they would actually release with.
>>11500458I'm hoping so, the legs on the SDCC sample are the nicest they've looked
>>11500378hmm.. last-second damage control, or was the previous one really unfinished? because this one is mismatched.. gray above, metallic gunmetal below. but in fairness, both versions of tigatron did that same thing
>>11500378>>11500458The pics from last week are already of the final retail version, sitting in hasbro warehouses right now.
>>11500492that looks so good
This one's been a pain in the ass to work on: Gobots Herr Fiend using a Dead End and Knockout. I'm so done trying to kitbash an arm assembly that I'm just gonna drill 5mm ports on the back. Just a bit more sanding on the hood's hinge and something to bs a monocle with, and it'll be practically ready for paint.

These guys are cool but not $90 cool. They are clearly both voyagers, with deluxe engineering. $20 upcharge for some pants is lame. They couldnt just throw those in huh. If they were bros this set would have been Leader class, not Commander. Pretty greedy. @ $90 I feel slightly ripped off
