To be fair, most of the black light edition have had ugly colors. Mr Freeze is an exception though.

What's the countdown until McFarlane loses his license?

Also, anyone find a Superman Movie 6inch Hawkgirl at Walmart? She's hard to find nowadays...

With the train wreck DCMV's prices and availability has become, it wouldn't surprise me if the last figures McFarlane released were Black Canary and Zatanna for $50, limited to 500, and with 1/2 chance of getting an unpainted platinum figure.

There are plenty more people mad they can't get figures, not just here. There was a post in the past few threads noting a mcfarlane toys updates twitter with a lot of followers that literally quit because he hated the scarcity direction that made it impossible for him to actually collect the figures.

Todd is doing a Walmart Collector Con livestream on Friday so if you want to embarrass him you can try to ask a question about why he is making his figures so rare as to be impossible for his fans to buy

I am off on friday, lol, i could politely ask why its become impossible for many of us to get a figure. Id rather ask who the fuck greenlights shit like fucking black light figures.
Who the fuck has a black light anyways? Some stoner kid smoking dirt weed in high school? Am i meant to take my black light figures out with me when i play lazer tag or maybe use then when i larp a csi episode? I just dont get it.

The figures come with the black stands if you look at all their pictures.

The reason why he does the black light figures is just to be able to reuse molds to get some extra money out of them--as mold/tooling is a huge part of the cost of figure manufacturing. Now why they chose those horrible colors, that's really unknowable.

it’s not just fomo though. the first concerted effort to sell his stuffβ€”the Superman movie figuresβ€”are having their endcaps pulled at Wal-Mart. the endcaps that were placed near the shitty digital cameras and DVDs, not the toy aisle, but a display endcap nonetheless. not even two weeks since the successful film was released. so not only can he not meet relatively meager collector demand, he apparently has zero clout with the biggest retailer in the country. hope you found Hawkgirl and TE Superman with Krypto on the first day cause they scalper only now.

Endcaps cost money from McFarlane to "buy" that space, anon. While electronics space is cheaper than toy aisle endcap space, he doesn't have the needed funds to keep it going. He probably did the absolute minimum DC demanded of him. Also toys are only to promote the movie and most funds are made close to opening.

I wouldnt bat an eye if mcfarlane toys just picked a high volume back stock figure and just had them repainted.

IMO Metamorpho did not justify being made as a toy, his slot should've been Lois.

Hawkgirl is the same arms with only slight changes like different bracers, isnt she? If you have Hawkgirl her gripping hands might fit. Also people sell fodder hands for McFarlanes, which would still with 15 euros be cheaper than buying a complete WW CE at over 100

And it is the most desired figure in the line. Todd doesn’t do straight rereleases and the line is ending. This is likely the last chance for a normal comic Wonder Woman.

This is a character from a r rated movie and Todd thinks children collect these no adults do,why not just slap a fucking 17+ on this since it's based on a r rated film but his Arkham figures had the 12+ rating despite the game being M for mature,I recently saw a new Batman figure at GameStop that came with a gun and was rated 17+.

The fishnets situation can be a dealbreaker. Everyone else who's used actual fabric had to bunch it up along the back and inside of her thighs, making them unusable. If they're printed we'll be okay but McFarlane Toys has a fetish for doll clothes so who knows.
Just because Todd announced a Zatanna doesn't mean we're in the clear yet.

You realize you are contributing to ruining collecting if you buy a 25 dollar max figure for 60 dollars, right? Every company will follow suit. Even max hulk didn't sell out

I bought multiple Power Girls for backups. Unironically one or display, one to keep mint, one for storage. I have a Kotobukiya Star Trek statue in the mail right now and a Sadako that ships in a couple weeks.
That's on top of a miniatures addiction.
I want Zatanna and Zatanna I shall have.

That's not really that much if that's all you have outstanding on order.

Anyway, Enjoy domestics hitting over $100 in a few years for basically what you got for $25 now. Instead of 3 PGs for $90 you'll be paying $300.

I don't need any more PGs unless someone releases an AI powered robot Peej like in Small Soldiers that can actually fly and shoot lasers out of her eyes.

I tried 6 times to order Year One Batman. All were canceled. Walmart's delivery that masks itself as shipping, I wonder if it ever works for toys?
Anonymous No.11505670

Yeah, it does but its wonky af. Example being turtles of greyskull king hiss/foot clan ninja. So i ordered it and snake shredder at the same time, months go by and then shredder shipped but king hiss was canceled. Then a few days later bbts is listing the same wal mart exclusive figure that wal mart cancelled on me. But then again wal mart can get a toy to you in 24 hrs, like my nwo great muta which i ordered around the same time as the tog stuff during collector con iirc.
I cant explain it or understand it. But we all know anything goes with multiverse.
