But after building Dragonite and seeing how small he was I didn't bother further lol.
Thought about maybe painting it shiny for variety, but Blokees will save me the trouble I guess.

No, I think the kids who deliberately attempt to break figures are the weird ones. Not the ones who are gentle with them. The Lucario in the pic has had his torso rotates around repeatedly until the plastic twisted so much it broke. Any sane child would realize it wasn't meant to rotate there and stop.

You came in here showing a pic of a cartoon cat with its ass out. What kind of response do you expect? You also gave zero frame of reference as to what you want it to scale with. But in general, Blokees is 2-3" tall and has a few joints. Jaz is a bit under 2" and static. They also have a 3" pearly paint one without joints. Then there's a Plamo kit thats 4-5" tall I think and also not articulated.

My 8 years old niece have outgrown /toy/s and getting into tcg, so he traded this Dragapult toy for a binder of TCG cards from 2014-2016 that I have (I have given up from TCG). Dragapult is missing one of the Dreepy and the paint on the nose is scuffed. Is this can be fixd? (I presume 3d print and paint matching)
Anonymous No.11515888 >>11515906
>>11515863
Not at all worth the cost and effort unless you're doing it yourself. You're asking someone to get exact measurements, 3d model, 3d print after testing the fit that'll probably take a test or two, then sanding and clean up, painting, sealing. Would you be willing to pay like $75+ for that? The person would likely need to have the figure in hand to test fit and paint match as well.

It'll be (mostly) DIY. I don't know any professional, I'll just strongarm some of my friends and co-workers for the 3d print (we have 3d printer at work). Yes the new base with more ports is much improved. That means you can also put the arm on the back side and larger guys like Charizard or Tyranitar won't hang off the front of the base any more. As long as the hinges in the arm are strong.

How come Jazwares are only just now putting out figures of the starters final forms? Scarlet and Violet are almost 4 fucking years old. Honestly, their pokemon releases are weird as fuck in general, they just seem to pick from a hat and put them out there. Which, don't get me wrong, that can be good since we're getting a fucking huge Golurk for example, but you'd think they'd prioritize shit to coincide with new game releases when the hype is there. PRime example, there's a new game with a shit load of megas that fans have been asking to return for years now, why aren't they doing figures of them?

Easier said than done. Toy development is at a minimum 12 months, and apparently TPC is superrrrr slow to approve anything so that probably adds many more months on top of that. Then they have releases planned out like a year in advance with waves already decided, so by the time something is approved, they have to put it in a slot that hasn't been decided yet.

Basically what >>11519115 said and also they seem to vaguely go by what's in the anime. They did the base form starters and crew Pokemon like Metagross, Snorunt and Shuckle pretty early. With how slow stuff is coming out, the middle stage and final forms of starters sort of line up with them appearing on the show. On a related note, Koraidon and Miraidon have no focus on the show and they seem unlikely at this point. In a world where they had focus in the anime like in the games we would've got them like Ceruledge.

Fuck that. A few stickers for flat parts like the eyes is fine, but stickers never work on curved surfaces. They just wrinkle, fold, and never stay down. The stickers on the white parts of the belly and the large stripes on the thigh boosters will never look good or stay on long term.

Half the Scale World figures are produced in low numbers and/or exclusives by design. It's a stupid thing. Make a line of small figures that have no articulation and are basically glorified candy toys, but make them exclusive so you can jack up the price. It's why most people hate the line even though them all being scaled with eachother is really nice.

Eternatus would be SO out of scale though. More than anything else. Lets be honest, that's not a popular pokemon and there are dozens of better options for the jazzwares releases. The skinny bits of it would be so thin and fragile if made at the Epic figure size.

If Jazwares managed to make Necrozma, then Eternatus will NEVER be a problem.

Necrozma has very thin arms that suspend massive hands.
Eternatus, even though it's skinny, doesn't have the heavy, irregular design of Necrozma. So it won't be as fragile as you claim.

If Moncolle managed to make an Eternatus, I think Jazwares can design his own without it being fragile.

It's certainly not the most likely outcome, but I want a big Eternatus in Epic size.
Anonymous No.11524355

Many good figures have ball joints like that. It's used to tighten the tolerances for the joint. But like so many of these crappy jazzwares ones, they are not tested properly or something because so many joints barely work or work horribly. Everything has parts that block the range, parts that don't have enough clearance to move all the way, etc. The figures always feel like nobody tested the articulation at all.
