>>11510641 (OP)>blue legskek imagine buying this slop
Got SS86 Ratchet in today. I'm actually mixed on him; he looks great in both modes, but the transformation, whilst ingenious, is a bit of a nightmare to click together. Also I don't care for the mono-flap on the pelvis, they should have either done two separate skirts or else done the ER Prime style built-in faux-skirts on the hinges. Still a good toy, and I very much appreciate the level of detail on him (not overly busy but not completely bland or barren either) but he's definitely not perfect.
>>11510649Wasnโt the blue legs from copies that were bought before release
>>11510653I have him and the Siege Walgreens version and the Siege version is way more fun to play with. Especially since he's got compatible ports for armor and extra weapons like Rung and can hold a headmaster in his chest
Momma and baby, reunited at last.
>>11510641 (OP)>not using 07 Prime pic>>11510649light makes them look like this, they are more gray.
>>11510665Siege reissue could be nice
>>11510659Those ARE already the release version sitting in hasbro warehouses right now.
>>11510675And I see two versions in wild one with silver outline around badge and other without it.
>>11510649Looks close enough.
as far as I can tell with 86 Megs it's probably a camera thing.
>>11510550>>11510561I wouldn't until you see how easy it is to get them all again in the new mold.
>>11510080Because Earthrise Thrust, Thundercracker, and Skywarp were eventually easy to get right?
So is the Takara Leo Prime cancelled or not?
>>11510444Eh, I was mostly referring to those super complex third party primes. Battle blades is a good one to reference since itโs hasbroโs own product
>>11510739I don't know, never bought that shit mold. But thinking that Starscream of all characters is going to remain an exclusive is retarded.
>>11510765and we all know Hasbro NEVER acts retarded.
>>11510775Dude, you're just being obtuse for no fucking reason. Hasbro does a lot of stupid shit, but you're a moron if you believe a brand new mold Starscream is going to be impossible to buy. They even rereleased Galaxy Shuttle and Cosmos as regular releases and you think fucking Starscream is going to remain an exclusive forever when that toy is going to print money for them? Jesus Christ.
>>11510779I'm not being obtuse. I'm going by EVERY time Hasbro does the seekers and pulls stupid shit.
I'm also watching people jizz all over themselves to a mold that hasn't even been released once yet (Woohoo throw out your old toys! THIS IS IT) and thinking that we've gone past excited collectors to Hasbo shills.
So go fuck off. When the figures are IN HAND, then I'll cheer.
Is the triple pack worth 150 Euros?
Im starting a transformers collection from scratch and this looks like a good way to get a lot of different characters
I dont have any of them yet and want to know whether they are good figures or if i should just skip them
>>11510791Blitzwing in this pack is really good, Astrotrain loses his coal tender which sucks but otherwise he's decent, and starscream is just shit and he's getting a new figure soon anyway. I'd say it's not really worth it.
>>11510791Iโd recommend waiting because weโre about to get new versions of each character next year. Astrotrain and Blitzwing are probably going to be redecoes, but Starscream is a new mold
>>11510792whats wrong with Starscream?
I never really liked Astrotrain i see him more as a bonus and its realy hard to find this figures separately in Europe
I can get Blitzwing on his own but not Starscream for some reason
>>11510796The earthrise starscream mold is EXTREMELY outdated. it's an upscaled version of a deluxe class mold from 20 years ago with the only engineering upgrade being ankle tilts. It's a fine figure, but we are getting a figure that's a huge upgrade soon. Blitzwing got reissued recently which is why you can purchase him separately.
>>11510758The point is that there are simple third parties that are better they could reference.
>>11510791>>11510795Yeah, the blitzwing listing and new seeker mold killed this 3 pack, in any case wait until it gets cheaper cause it won't move for a while.
>>11510800Wish the new seekers had individual hip covers instead of the same ER flap.
>thread was not at page 9 or 10
>thread was not at image limit
Why was a new thread made?
>>11510792>>11510795>>11510806So generall consensus is that 2 out of 3 figures in the pack are either lackluster or bad
Honestly im also not a big fan of Blitzwing
His robot mode looks great but his alt modes are either lackluster or bad
His Tankmode shows his cockpit from the jetmode in the front and i know its accurate to the cartoon but the cartoon was made as cheaply as possible in some korean sweatshop and it looks really bad
The Jet mode is even worse the Tank tracks are not hidden at all and just stick out to much
What else can i get for 100 euro budget?
>>11510813a good optimus prime figure or a few deluxes
>>11510822(and out of these two options, you're probably going to be happier in the long run if you go with a few deluxes, if you're the kind of person that plays with their toys. I highly recommend legacy/retro gears or any use of the siege sideswipe mold.)
>>11510784>I'm not being obtuse. I'm going by EVERY time Hasbro does the seekers and pulls stupid shit. When was the last time a G1 Starscream toy was difficult to buy?
We're talking Starscream here, not any of the other ones, specially not the coneheads. But fucking Starscream. And you think Hasbro is going to make it impossible to buy.
But hey, feel free to be scared of not being able to buy a toy if you want to.
>I'm also watching people jizz all over themselves to a mold that hasn't even been released once yet (Woohoo throw out your old toys! THIS IS IT) and thinking that we've gone past excited collectors to Hasbo shills.Maybe because the mold actually looks good instead of the utter trash that was the Earthrise one? Are you sure you're not just salty because you have a bunch of Earthrise seeker crap that now it's outdated? Because all that negativity sure reads that way.
>>11510813Iโd like to recommend other dramatic capture releases, but nearly all of them are getting new improved figures soon, I see what you were scheming takaraโฆStill, there have been quite a few rereleases recently, I donโt think most of the characters youโd want would be too hard to buy
>>11510838>people in these threads talking about orders getting cancelled>haslab mold arrives, exploding right out of the box.>General release figures being impossible to get, let alone, exclusives due to usual distribution dumbfuckery (still waiting for Beachcomber)>gee, why are you all being so OBTUSE?Sounds like you're the one scared that you'll be fucked, yet again, and can't stand to hear any reminders of that fact. Call me when they push back Skywarp before cancelling him outright, or decides Thrust needs to be another Target exclusive so no one can get him again.
and fuck Sunstorm all over again because he's the one everyone has been asking for.
>>11510822This 3 are all I have
I like Earthrise Optimus a lot even though his articulation in the arm is a bit bad
The new Studio Series looks like it has better articulation but I don't like how he is so cartoon accurate
I dont realy like the cartoon designs all that much
I like it more when there are some alt mode parts all over the figures robot mode like Optimus truck wheels on the side of his legs and his Truck chest or the hydraulic pistons on his knees
I think those little details are really cool and remond you that this is an actual machine instead of leaving them smooth and undetailed like the Studio Series figures do
I know there are people who loke the simple cartoon aesthetic but for me it just doesn't work
>>11510862If you want a better commander class optimus, then iโd reccomend armada optimus. But if youโre in need of decepticons, maybe try out some of the amazon two packs? Like doom nโ destruction or wreck nโ doom
>>11510861I had no trouble getting any figure I wanted. I'm going to laugh when Starscream is available fucking everywhere.
>>11510861>Call me when they push back Skywarp before cancelling him outright, or decides Thrust needs to be another Target exclusive so no one can get him again.>and fuck Sunstorm all over again because he's the one everyone has been asking for.The whole thing is about Starscream, you fucking idiot. Not any other character but Starscream. It's retarded to think Hasbro isn't going to rerelease that character in the new mold several times, no matter how stupid they are. Try to follow the conversation.
>>11510878no we've been complaining about hasbro fucking up getting all the seekers like they always do. where have you been?
>>11510876now I know you're a shill
>>11510941who are you quoting?
>>11510941Based. Transformers toys died after 2011.
>>11511078Based. Love me some HFTD and DOTM
>>11510641 (OP)147 images is just the magic number for you, eh? cool, now we have three active threads.
>>11510813That wouldn't have anything to do with it being cheap, drawing the cockpit is more work, it could have just been a line
You want to use the word autistic
>>11511078name ONE generations chug grimlock pre 2012 that is objectively better than the 86 figure. You can't.
>>11511171Volcanicus Torso. Energon Grimlock. Alternators Grimlock. Universe Dinobot
>>11511171It's bothering me that they didn't pose her feet despite him having ankles
Boneshaker looks great but why the hell is he an autobot?
>>11511178>Volcanicus torsoobjectively worse as an individual robot than the 86 figure in every way.
>Energon grimlockGood design but still worse as reasons said above
>Alternators grimlockTransforms into a car instead of a t-rex so not a direct competitor
>Universe dinobotThat's not grimlock, that's just the maximal dinobot unless you're talking about his repaint which doesn't count because at the end of the day that is dinobot's toy mold.
>>11511189I can see a company like Hot Wheels being prissy about one of their designs being used for a villainous character.
>noooooooo the heckin car doesnt mow people down in the name of Megatron! He has to be a good guy for marketing and sales!
>>11511189Are there any other autobots that look decepticon-like?
>>11511192>Volcanicus torsoobjectively better due to the extra functionality and Diaclone styling
>Energon grimlockGood design but even better as reasons said above
>Alternators grimlockTransforms into a car instead of a t-rex so it's fits the Autobots far better. Actual disguise.
>Universe dinobotBest overall for turning into an actual T-Rex
Name one chug megatronus/fallen figure better than his age of the primes figure. YOU CAN'T.
>>11511216>>11511177I never realized just how outclassed ss86 grimlock actually was. 86 grimlock is like an old washed up athlete with knees that have been ground down to the bone trying to compete with himself at various points throughout his prime. Give it up old man. Go back to eating your tapioca pudding.
>>11511216Universe Dinobot doesnโt turn into a T-Rex
>>11511236Beast wars styling
>>11510838>based Hasbro would never make a popular main character hard to get!!Meanwhile, Soundwave, Ironhide, Prowl, and even fucking Bumblebee were hard or impossible to get in Earthrise/Netflix. Do you have the memory of a goldfish?
>>11511279Are we talking about the same figure?
>>11511184that one's a lady?
>>11511332i like how you can tell this one tried, but it also got so much wrong that you wonder if the designer was color blind.
>>11511189I can only assume Mattel changed their minds about factions later so Bomeshaker was changed into an Autobot, even though he clearly has decepticon styling.
>>11511332Beast wars styling
You know, I wouldn't mind if they rerelease the core Volcanicus dinos in their G2 colors, and even Shattered Glass.
Considering how much they've been pushing her since her Legacy toy came out, how likely is that we'll see a more accurate G1 Elita?
>>11511454how?
she ~isn't possible~ to do. She makes MP Blackarachnia look like a cakewalk to pull off.
>>11511453They're doing Monstructor.
>>11511350The designers back then did this really cool thing called creativity, I know that's a foreign concept nowadays.
>>11511465And constructor
>>11511472Anon, these are too close to correct to be a creative choice..
he's tan stripes on brown instead of brown stripes on tan, and what's really hilarious is the Kingdom toy did the same fucking thing, albeit with a closer layout to the show, but..
>>11511461Hey, they (mostly) figured out how to do Arcee, Iโm confident they could come up with something, especially if she were to be given a Voyager class toy
>>11511505so the entire altmode hanging off of her back didn't bother you? in that case yeah, it's doable, and it's been done like five times.
>>11511526I'll sell you mine
>>11511461She's a lot easier to do than you'd think they're just worried her car mode won't sell, and she has no retool options being so unique.
She's a classic floro dery design. Her windshield retracts into the back (the toy would likely just leave it there) the cars front becomes her hip sides (probably gets tucked away and hidden in a toy) the hood flips under, so it's underside is showing through the glass canopy.
Then legs flip down from the back, the canopy flips down from the front, revealing her head.
Her arms are pretty self explanatory.
>>11511636why would they be worried specifically about her car mode, which she won't be packaged in? her car mode looks cool.
>the car's front becomes her hip sides, legs flip down from the backwhat? that's not how she looks or transforms.
>>11511505>voyager fembotnever happening unless it's a retool lol
>>11511640Iโm curious if itโs a Hasbro or Takara thing that prevents us from getting more. The fact that Override managed to get a Voyager makes me lean towards it being a Takara thing since Nitro Convoy is a guy, which they could use to justify the release
>>11511332>>11511350I don't know what the fuck Hasbro was going for with colors on Dinobot in these years. I've heard the universe one was meant to be a "Predacon" colors version as if he never switched sides at least.Which is dumb because we see him as a Predacon robot and they don't change.
I don't mind show inaccuracy, but what is the point of a reissue when it's not the original colors OR close to the show OR the 97 Takara version which was slightly more accurate. and it's not really any better than any of those either. so it really satisfies no one.
>>11511643It started out budgeted as a Hot Rod retool, but since Override is relatively simple with the amount of new parts budgeted instead a whole new one was made. Being a man in Japan wasn't likely a consideration at all.
>>11511649well it satisfies anyone who would have been satisfied whatsoever by this mold regardless.
>>11511639We only saw the front of her altmode and her transformation was just standing up and the car mode just sliding off to reveal the robot.
>>11511125whatever it is it just looks bad
I don't like how you can clearly see the cockpit in the tank mode and it ruins the entire tank mode for me
>>11511640>ignores the titan fembot nemesis we got.
>>11511676....
disretard, i'm a regard. i thought you were saying Arcee this whole time.
>>11511199Doublecross, Repugnus, Grotusque, Rotorstorm, Longtooth. Or did you mean cars specifically?
>>11511722Remember those bishojo statues?
>>11511748yes...

>>11511749are you genuinely autistic or just pretending to be deliberately obtuse?

>>11511676Floro Dery loves his morphing vehicle parts sizes. I've seen people who didn't even clock that Unicron's planet pincers were meant to be the horns of the robot mode head because of how wildly they shrink between the transformation.
>>11511764ohh the PAGES are backwards. okay lemme read it again
dude I know what a tsundere is.
okay so... movie makes prime cry, she goes into meg's room, gets snuggles, then they watch some more, this time meg's had enough, but then reneges and comes back in for snuggles. okay, that I can follow okay. Like, ladyMegs had enough and temporarily shoved girlprime away. but we didn't get to see girlprime's reaction, so that didn't really flow for me at all.
I don't think your interpretation is right.. we didn't see anything making girl megatron need cheering up. it was just 'oops wait don't take that rejection seriously'

Rhinox was completely reprogrammed essentially the same thing Tarantulas did to the pods, but requiring more work. He changed from that, even though it was mostly pretty subtle.

>>11512339>you don't have any issues with his proportions? at least his legs aren't as bad as I worried they would be.Not really. Err third release if you count MP.
>>11512686Bumblebee, Optimus, Grimlock, Starscream, Megatron, Soundwave. Literally every other G1 character is completely irrelevant. Ask the average person off the street who Prowl or Astrotrain are and they'll have no clue. Then tell them if they remember the big fucking worm at the end of TF3 or the gorilla at the end of TF2 and they'll say yes. Worm is the 7th evergreen character.
>>11512788vicious cycle. that's all they make, so that's all anyone knows.
>>11512789Merchandise is a really good way to track the cycle. A lot of people try to put Windblade or Jazz at 7th but merch (Normie products) show that they aren't even on the radar. Only the main 6 have any sort of pull.
>>11512798eh.. i am dubious that they do it enough to really say anything scientific about it
besides, jazz is small. small isn't fun
>>11512800Jazz just isnt conducive to making to good merch. He isnt a unique vehicle like the others and competes with Bumblebee for token car character, but is majority a boring plain white. When he's silver he also competes with Megatron. At best he's used as the representative for generic autobot in ensemble artwork.
>>11512809yeah that is valid.
all the more reason they need to cut it out with the forced samey guys though. release more unique guys that look cool. TRUST IN YOUR PRODUCT or sell it to someone else.
>>11512330>new titan class>barely bigger than commander jetfireIs this a fucking joke? We lost an AOTP titan for this, and it isn't even titan sized?? The excuse of engineering upping the price tag that bootlickers love using doesn't even apply here, we've all seen that back kibble.
>>11512815it has back kibble too? jesus. I know this is a rough transformation, but at this size, it should be doable. did they just stop caring below the knee?
>>11512811>>11512809Also to add to this, Megatron is probably the best merch character besides Bumblebee. His most popular depictions have him in cybertronian modes, making him both a representative of the Cybertron/Bayverse style along with people being most accepting
When he's something different. He's a deep silver, making him a classy/casual choice for people that wouldn't want to wear loud Bumblebee yellow. Someone could look at Pic related and go "yeah that looks like megatron".
>>11512788>Ask the average person off the street who Prowl or Astrotrain are and they'll have no clue. Then tell them if they remember the big fucking worm at the end of TF3 or the gorilla at the end of TF2 and they'll say yes.No, you should ask them if they remember Driller or Devastator. If you're asking names for G1 instead of "the patrol car guy" or "the guy who is both a train and a spaceship", the same should apply to Bayformers characters. And then you're fucked, because normies don't know shit. If that's how you measure how iconic something is, that's on you. But I disagree.
>>11512822>Someone could look at Pic related and go "yeah that looks like megatron".You wouldn't even know that's related to transformers if not for the logos.
>>11512835That's more damning towards G1 if they can't even recall when using their name

>>11512927Thats pretty neat, I don't like the Alpha enough to even consider it at that price but I'm sure one or two people will be happy.
God this is one of the most autistic arguments I've seen in awhile
>>11512788>you mean if you bring up the movie and mention parts of the movie first and they then remember...Yeah, that's not iconic. Darth Vader is iconic, Optimus Prime is Iconic. people know what those are without being told what they're from first.
>>11512945Welcome to the Transformers fandom; I hope you enjoy your stay
>>11512952I've lost track of this argument, but are you basically saying, to follow the comparison,
vader, luke, leia, chewie, han, and the droids are the only evergreen ones, and Lando is the Jazz here? Doesn't make the cut as iconic?
>>11512961You aren't going to see a Lando toaster or T shirt.
>>11512945Anti bayverse fags will go to weird lengths sometimes. There's nothing wrong with liking G1, but that argument was open and shut since 2007.
>>11512976Bayshit was propped up by breaindead normies who only watch movies to see special effects and jerk off the US Military. Once the sheen wore off and there were other movies to watch the normies decided to watch something else, while Baysharts clung to their shitpiles like maggots.
Bayshit continuously does worse and worse while having Z-E-R-O crossover appeal with the rest of the brand. The obese dad who hoots at seeing dogs hump each other isn't turning around and buying an expensive import figure or pre-ordering the next wave of figures. He's scratching his dirty asshole and thinking about buying THE PILL or whatever other slop Bay was paid to put in his movie.
Bayshit is an active detriment to the brand as a whole, which you can see from Bumblebee (deliberately kneecapped to protect the Bay brand) and TF:One (which people refused to see because they thought it was Bayslop. Remember, there were multiple cases of people reporting that they didn't know that TFOne wasn't a remake of 07.)
"Bayshit is real Transformers" is one of the most delusional braindead statements imaginable. It's so far away from Transformers that it might as well be another brand entirely. It's just "Team America Kills the Space Robots"
>>11512961If a different anon who said that
But I'm saying if you said "Hey it's the Driller." nobody would know what you're talking about.
I don't know how many G1 guys would be considered "iconic" either. I don't think that's the right word to use for any of this.
Like I said, Optimus Prime is iconic. Most people would know who that is right off that bat. he's an Icon. Maybe Bumblebee or Starscream. Those are names most laymen might recognize from both the movies and the rest of the franchise.
many of the other characters from any of it? Ehhhhhh?

>>11513080>oh no a business is going to make things that sellIt's not going to be as good or detailed as the Haslab or any of the 3rd party offerings anyway, so why are you complaining? A mainline Unicron was inevitable. It'll probably be $250, too.

Point being normiesphere on bayformers rarely seems to revolve around transformers.

You just go right away, Satan. You're getting yours pretty soon anyway. if you want me to spend more, you have to manipulate shit to get me more money. and the big guy's not doing that, so something tells me you're gonna have trouble with it.
>>11513225Minecraft is the biggest video game franchise of all time so of course it was going to do well. Lilo and Stitch existed across several TV shows and Straight to DVD movies for years so zoomers paying to see it again on film was an obvious conclusion. Another example of this phenomenon is Silent 2 remake selling well due to zoomers growing up on theory videos, they were basically preemptively advertised to for years.
>>11513230You are correct. A large percentage of movie going audiences are lowest common denominator morons who will happily fork over money to see properties and characters they recognize over and over again, which is why the Bay movies made money consistently. >>11513247whoa, you made your box out of the skin of the legendary CHROMELEON. that's fuckin metal.
>>115131334 had one of the worst plots, you're high dude.
Anyway, 4 made money mostly because of how much goodwill 1-3 had generated with audiences, so they had no reason yet to think 4 would be bad before actually seeing it. Unfortunately, it was pretty boring and depressing moreso than 1-3's "bombastic and impressive", which disenfranchised the fans, and they didn't return for 5. Even the special effects are a marked downgrade compared to 1-3, feeling weightless and fake.
3 was also meant to be the movies' finale; Bay only returned for 4-5 because the studio begged him to, and he only agreed in exchange for a guarantee that they'll let him produce a different film he wanted to make more, so of course 4-5 were basically made on autopilot.
>>11513249Then it would be purple and stinky.
I hate and love Chameleos in MH Rise so much.
>>11513257just because the nanite stuff was retarded doesn't mean it wasn't basically the opposite writing of movie 2, which had the worst plot
>had no reasonwhen someone makes a trilogy and says they're done, then a 4 is coming out, it doesn't matter if they 'got him back,' it's gonna have problems. Like you said. And people were aware of that.
it is funny though how, due to that, they had a connected plot. and unfortunately 5 pulled a Rise of Skywalker.

You are a pathetic, short dick, shell of a human to act like that.
>>11513261eh, agree to disagree. I've still not heard any criticisms of RotF's [[[plot]]] that I really agreed with; most just complained that the humor was too juvenile for them, and didn't elaborate further, which like... okay, but that isn't the plot though? And also subjective, the stupid juvenile humor is exactly why i think it's the perfect afternoon popcorn flick lol.
Honestly I'd argue DotM had the worst plot of the trilogy, the whole moon conspiracy retcon kinda raises too many questions about 1 and 2 lol, and [Mikaela getting hastily written out, and the conclusion to her character arc had to be performed by a rando new blonde girl, because the actor got recast] was very obvious and stuck out. I also preferred the comic version's ending being more vague about Megatron desu, rather than them making amends or Megatron dying.
My problems with AoE admittedly are more conceptual; I think the humans treating transformers as soulless machines this far in (and being unable to tell the difference between factions) is a bit hard to believe, as well as NEST's dissolution. I also blame 4-5 for kinda kickstarting the "lol jaded murder Optimus" meme, when in 1-3 the most he did was kill actual psychopaths who dreamed of enslaving/destroying entire planets (a bit gloriously for the camera, but still). And love or hate the 1-3 humans, but they worked for what they were - the 4-5 humans were just terrible assholes. All the Autobots become unfun, insufferable jerks, too, on that note.

>>11513417>Star Convoy is such a good figure. An actual worthwhile update. It would be perfect if they didn't fuck up things that were pertectly fine in the original toy. It's like they went out of the way to mess with some playability aspects that should have been easy wins just by doing things as always.
I absolutely hate those dumb peg blocks on the inside of the legs. It's a freaking trailer, the floor should be flat so you can roll vehicles in and out and have figures there in base mode. There's like a dozen ways to secure the microtrailer inside the legs without using such a dumb method. But the stupidity goes beyond that, because even if those weren't there, the microtrailer would still be unable to go out of the doors because it's slightly too tall! Seriouly, what the fuck were they thinking?
Not a fan of the Zodiac using space in the middle of the floor of the command room, There's a ledge on the back wall, just attach it there. Bam, now it looks better, more centered in the chest and isn't wasting space that figures should use to stand in base mode.
The right arm being unable to be posed correctly in base mode like the original toy so the shoulder gun rotation is level with the grould is also bullshit. As is the whole roller component. They should have designed it so it stays completely flat when opened, more space to play instead of these back ramps and could be attached to the corner of one of them so the whole thing is positioned in a way that leaves enough space for the rotating turret to work without having to move the arm out of the way.
I like the toy, specially that it's full of real ratchet joints with the perfect strangth, but it really bothers me that they failed on those ridiculously easy things. It really hurts my overall enjoyement of the figure.

>>11513782>Man... they made a pretty cheap and small GunbusterWich one?
Did anyone here get Onyx Prime. What material did they use for the wings.
>>11513783Guess plans must have changed, last time they said he'd be like the recent Galvatron release.
>>11513783Late to the party bros we canโt stop winning
>>11513789Hereโs hoping tripredicus could be used as a Violengiguar remoldโฆI need me all of those Emperors of destruction
>>11513783Why. Kingdom is like... perfect except maybe the face.
>>11513828Vehicle mode ainโt perfect, the trailer needs to be even more connected with the car. Rodimus also likely needs to be bigger to fit with the new leader scaling. I definitely didnโt expect them to completely overhaul like they say here though.
>>11513794Moderoid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No waist rotation due to combination, and it can't do the Gainax pose, but other than that it's alright
I donโt like how Galvatron came out and wouldnโt mind a redo for the 86 line. Less tech greeble. Maybe a few cm bigger.
>>11513840Just checked, not a fan of the added panel lines and innacurate chest shape but seens decent enough.
I own both versions of the SoC and the Revoltech (one of the worst imports I've ever bought, that thing SUCKS).
>>11513789based, would love a magnaboss that didn't crumble in my hands
>>11513845Yeah, it's a budget Gunbuster and the only one I have, it looks better when pane-lied but I agree that having less panels to begin with would have been nicer. My beloved Moderoid Tetsujin 28 has ZERO panel lines and he's great (articulation is meh but he's also a dumpy 50s robot)
Are revoltechs not good, I keep hearing mixed things about them
>>11513862Revoltechโs were great for the decade they came out in 2006-12. After that other companies, kind of succeeded in making a articulated figure..
Remembering when Revos cost only $20-30
>>11513789Someone needs to let Evan know that he can get both Magnabosses in one go if they just include redecoed heads for the Prowl/Lio Junior head and Magnaboss's face. The molds are identical, itโs just the plastic and painting colors on those parts that are the major differences. Santon/Ironhide and Skywarp/Silverbolt are almost completely identical, the Japanese release just has slightly more paint, which should be the standard

>>11513862Old revo had some really big stinkers, back when they were starting to experiment and expand to other properties, there was some very poorly designed stuff
These days they're generally really good toys with the best articulation on the market, but they still struggle with some annoying QC issues that you don't want on an $80+ import
>>11513292It just came off weird when I'm like "textured silver walls? you skinned a metal lizard" and then you go "no because then it would be purple and smelly" because of MH having a themed monster... real nonsequitur.
>>11513880Hey, wait a minuteโฆ
>>11513276Oh yeah there's a ton of fuckups who have very shallow 'DURRR IT WAS TOO JUVENILE' opinions that they should really use on themselves, but objectively it really had the most threadbare writing. it was during a writer's strike. They had no idea what to do, the pacing was all over the place. RotF had the best character designs and perhaps the best villain, but as a story it's a total mess.
>DotM retcons thingsoh yes, in terms of which story is the most out of nowhere, that takes the cake. I guess it really depends what we mean by 'bad writing' and for that matter 'writing.'
>AoE was hard to believelike i said, worst human moments in the series.

>>11513328isn't it though? They're all different sizes, not stuck to size classes at all. They actually put an effort into relative scale. and when their listings come up, they don't have the size class listed, do they?

>>11513528>IN THE NAME OF PRIMUS*
>>11513426as a huge weeb, I hate to say it, but the three fully american/canadian transformers shows are by far and away the best. The anime ones have good looking stuff here and there, but they're usually either too dry, too silly, or somehow both. I've seen tons of anime that I would love if we had a transformers series that felt similar to, but they've never done one. Even Prime, with its flaws, still has such a perfect mood and tone and its own unique look that only has a couple things about it that I'd change across the board (faces mostly)

>>11513810The large golden "feathers" are softer plastic but not nearly as soft as what's used for blast effects, or The Fallen's spear for example. I think it might be some kind of vinyl.
>>11513741>>11513766They're not listed under the normal tab - they're under the ComiCon Exclusive section.
>>11513828Nah, Kingdom had plenty of issues:
-Oldman face
-Poor color separation that they needed to fix with paint, the Hot Rod released around that same time didn't have that issue.
-Some of the paint just falls off at the slightest touch. The red paint near the canopy is notably scratch prone.
-The connection for the backpack is not only too tight, the fold out section for the backpack is also misaligned, making the paint issue on the canopy even harder to avoid.
-The wrap around feature on the legs is hindered by the pins, forcing you to flex the plastic to fold the wheels away.
-The pathetic chest.
So yeah, this guy was almost a great figure.
>>11513880Oh good, can't wait for Predaking: frameslop edition

>>11513914Ya with that height increase, probably not happening lol. I do wonder if the trailer โfeaturesโ will remain the same
>>11513922Depends entirely on how they make him. If they go pure Cartoon, he'd be a full trailer that turns into a robot, so I'd expect an almost Magnus sized guy.

>>11513789I have low expectations, but.. good to hear.
>>11513968yeah i think these are just all ideas we've all had for many years. and things 3P has done too.
>>11513893>RotF was threadbareSure, I guess so. Thing is, I felt 07's plot was a bit basic too, but I don't really consider that an issue for it. With these films like, as long as it's coherent and doesnt make me step back and question it, then I think it's fine lol; they're vehicles to take us between setpieces, really. I guess the biggest critique for RotF I can give is its plot got a little muffled behind the setpieces, so to speak? Once the whole worldwide-adventure angle picks up, it's easy to forget the core of this film started with "oh yeah, this is about Sam wanting to live a normal college life", which makes it feel silly when you go "oh yeah, right" by the time the film's ending calls back to it lol. Also that the film drags a bit during the midpoint.
>Movie 5? Best humans. Absolute best.Lol I have a friend who's obsessed with the film, keeps sending me the scene of Megatron going WRETCHED HUMAN blasting Anthony Hopkins and flying away. I hadn't seen it since release, maybe I will sometime for a laugh.

>>11514020 No. Razorclaw is like twice the size of the other Predacons.

>>11514029Good, might be the first non 3P I get in like 13 years. Definitely has 3P energy.
I still want an another Hasbro Predaking. Voyagers for the four, Leader for Razorclaw.
>>1151400407's plot was... beginner-friendly. The human stuff was the main focus, and it had a lot of moving parts.
RotF is a lot of "we gotta go here. now we gotta go there. oh my god now we really gotta go there" and it just wasn't there. Additionally, it WASN'T very coherent. i love that they gave us palette-swap decepticons for the first time, but they neglected to make that explicit, so it was easy to get confused and think "hang on, they were fighting jackhammer guy over here, but here he is over there.."
I still LIKED it, and I had a blast seeing it with my dad, who had.. about two-thirds of a blast. He was happy to have beer and I was happy to see my dad. But uh.. Basically, what I really want is a recut. Go over it again, I guarantee there is a better movie hidden in there.
also this is just me being a little weird but.. they need to subtitle all the robots. they all speak in such heavy vocoding that you don't even know when they're speaking english or cybertronian. Jetfire was the most audible of all of them.

On one hand ecstatic that they're not doomed to now-nonexistent core class hell, on the other, jesus do they need to be on anniversaries? Super Link's 25th is 2029, and Beast Machines' 30th is 2030. Can't we have like, anything before then?
>(Skids & Mudflap) it's not the right time, ... eventually
That's a very bizarre way of phrasing it. What WOULD be the right time...?
>>11514061Sneak them into a boxset.
>>11514050Perhaps, but I don't really know how they'd get around all those issues specifically? I'd cut down the in-between travel time, but the parts where they actually are visiting Agent Simmons' deli, or they're at the Air & Space Museum, or they're doing stupid shit in Egypt - those are some of my favorite scenes in the movie lmao.
RotF is like, they structured it like a videogame almost: they thought of some really cool setpieces or funny character interactions in them, but then the way they connected them was an afterthought. The only way to FIX this would be cutting the scenes entirely to shorten the worldtrip, but then that takes the fun out. (And again personal taste, but i kinda love the chaotic nature of it lol. Having seen it a hundred times since childhood, I also just know the plot by heart now, so it's harder for me to consider this angle, but thanks for pointing it out and making me think about it!)
Same also goes for the clones/repaints, also being a a symptom of the writers' strike - their inclusion was done by people who just didnt think about it beyond movie monsters and forgot they were characters that were dead, and hastily retcon ed them into original dudes lol. An edit COULD change them into more unique designs to be obvious new guys, but then we'd lose Optimus ripping apart Blackout"s face.

If this is our last shot at getting him, we deserve to finally have the screen-accurate one we were owed 26 years ago. All the G1 fans got their SS86 stuff (as well as a million other attempts previously) to get their crap as accurate as possible; there's no reason why BW/BM fans don't deserve the same treatment, especially if this is it. If people can endlessly bitch and moan about the color of Optimus Prime's eyes or shape of his mouthguard being slightly off, then we have a right to demand at least an ATTEMPT at screen-accuracy for Jetstorm before we're forgotten about and ignored for another two and a half decades.
