Why is this general so dead these days? Why did JoyToy slow down this much? They used to churn these out every other day it used to seem. And now it's a small something every two weeks or so at best. What's going on? Are they even going to finish the Primarchs?

I myself did get a little burned out. I've not bought anything since Valdor or Alpharius (whoever went up for PO last). No Rubrics, and they were "teased" 2-3 years ago. No Eldar. No fun xenos to pit against the Marines I already have. It all feels static. Honestly, if I got my few remaining Primarchs that I want, I'd be likely to call it a day.

We're all quite spoiled at this point, compared to back then when we're on pins and needles speculating on what's getting released or not. Hasn't been much stuff to draw my interest lately, though I'm looking forward to the tanks. I feel like I've completed my collection in terms of space marines and I'm not interested in re-buying them in the new, larger scale (they look very nice, though). I'm primarily keeping an eye out for more xenos, especially Tau.

I did recently pick up the Juggernaut on a whim to give my wolf rider someone to duel. Loved it so I picked up a few Berserkers to go along with him. They're at the new larger scale, I believe? I think Berserkers being huge is appropriate, though! They look awesome too.

For anyone in the US; have you noticed things seem to be way more expensive on AliExpress now? Even without the added tariff fees on checkout. I bought all my World Eaters domestically because it was way cheaper than buying on AE.

Joytoy did do a squad of some Age of Sigmar guys a little while ago, so its not beyond the realms of possibility, but Games Workshop itself has weird issues with classic Fantasy. Maybe some of the crossover stuff like demons or Lizardmen? You'd think some Total Warhammer tie-ins would be a thing at least. Nice Iron Warriors. I love the griminess and the trench-mud base on the Terminator. Hazard stripes on the power armoured fellow could do with work but otherwise looking good. I like that you put some on the mask.
Speaking of painting, I'm seriously considering repainting and slightly modding my JT Black Legion guys into /mydudes/. I've only got three at present (Terminator, a standard bolter bloke and a champion); the actual figures are great, mind, just they're a bit...I dunno, vanilla? Ironically I have no desire to do so to my JT Ultramarines but then again those figures have far more variety by virtue of there being more of them available.

... but even the last 6 or so threads died long before they hit the bump limit and i was discussing actual toy releases in a few of them.

I actually miss that more than half as many people aren't posting their own toys nowadays, not just because it lets me know whether Joytoy's actually releasing anything of good quality, but because i genuinely enjoy seeing people play with their toys.

On the subject of WHERE XENOS JOYTOY, I was reading the short story War in the Museum the other day, and came to the conclusion that even if they do nothing else for the Necrons they should do a Trazyn the Infinite to allow people to recontextualise all their spessmehreen dollys. For those who don't know, Trazyn is a Necron lord with two major things going on for him: one, when you destroy his robot body (or even if he just feels like having his own clone) he can rebuild himself out of any of his subjects almost instantly; and two, he is obsessed with collecting artefacts and interesting people and putting them on display in stasis in his prviate museum planet. Similarly, you could put almost any of the figures on display, regardless of whether they "fit" and have a little Trazyn in there to admire it.

GW put the story up for download, if you want to read it. Things go a bit wrong when he is almost ready to put a Tyranid Hive Tyrant (and its accompanying Hive Fleet) on display.

>Its pretty close to the recent GW colour scheme
Yeah, because in GW's paint guides, blue is one of the many colors that is supposed to be used

Joytoy looks at GW's color guides, sees that there's 8 different paints, but only has the budget for 1, and chooses the basepaint, not realizing the paints for highlights are supposed to be the main color.

Like i said, it's the same shit Joytoy does with gold. The basepaint GW uses is brownish, because how their paint scheme works is that bottom layer of paint will be the shadowed area of the model. Colors will be more true to what it's supposed to be with the upper layers of paint, but Joytoy doesn't understand this, thus uses a brown paint instead of gold.
They're undoubtedly doing the same shit with the alpha toys.

Eat shit.

Games Workshop finally started licensing out their WH40k to other companies, so if Joytoy continues doing a bad job, another company will take over the license and they'll eventually make Alpha Legion figures

They aren't shitty though, I haven't seen a single person who owns them say that they are.

Am I supposed to believe the bitter and jealous poorfuck over people who own the toys?

You blab about poorfag, so what are you, if you can't even blindly buy shit just to support Joytoy's shit?

I don't see you posting your toys, yet I've constantly posted mine. And because I know first hand about Joytoy's fuck ups, anyone would feel bitter, especially when Joytoy hasn't fixed their shit and actually has gotten worse.
And that bitterness isn't exclusive to me, hence other people dropping the line over Joytoy's fuck ups.... you know, the people that actually used to produce OC that made this thread popular in the past.

I've stopped buying as much Joytoy figures now because there's just so much and I have very little space, but the fact that the line is going strong, they're rapidly going through the Primarchs AND they're getting into vehicles means people are still buying them.

I received my Iron Warrior today, and it looks spectacular. I can't say the same about the quality of the material; it feels like it's made of less flexible plastic than my Ultramarine MkVI, but it also feels lighter. Despite being taller than the MkVI, its proportions make it look thinner or smaller.

This is one of the greatest licensed toylines of all time. Maybe the greatest in terms of sheer output over time. I still remember the excitement when the first four pack of Ultramarines was announced.

No one expected we were getting a baby carrier. Then we got the baby carrier and then we got an Imperial Knight. Then we're getting Angron as well. Now we're getting tanks.

Yeah you can gripe all you want about paint inaccuracies or scale creep, but they are putting toys in people's hands that we've been hardcore knoe-ing for all this time. They're also not doing it in a gay way where scalpers get away with most of the product (like Bandai does) - anyone can buy them at any time, and reissues are regular.

Mcfarlane; struggling to stay in the game, has like two dozen figures after 5 years.
Bandai; has a hand full of recolors.
Joytoy; almost the entire space marine primaries catalogue. HUNDREDS of figures, most of which with unique sculpts.
