I had a good time the first time. It gets worse each pass. There’s so many things side stepped narratively that shouldn’t have been especially for a first movie. I get starting him in his career but only 3 years in? You might as well start from year one. Ma and Pa were fucking terrible. Superman should not yell like an emotional teenage girl over trivial bullshit. It sucked. Everyone was well cast but the story and dialogue especially for Superman was dumb. Superman shouldn’t say “dude” like he’s fucking starlord.

The characters of ma and pa Kent have never been treated like bumbling idiots. You can rationalize it with real world examples based off geographic location but that’s pretty fucking stupid in a fantasy world where a dinosaur island, Atlantis and space taxi’s exist.
Gunn belittled the Kent’s by turning them into caricature.
And there is a difference between Superman on the verge of punching drywall because his girlfriend is annoying him and screaming in agony like when the Indian got shot.

I just don’t get how anyone could collect so much McFarlane stuff, like seriously. I have a few of his figures from Ross and they’re just not good. They don’t look good and they don’t articulate good. Are DC fans just so starved for figures they’ll just resort to buying anything? Just get the Mafex stuff, it may not have as much of a selection, but at least it’s actually good.

I don't like Mafex's house style. For example I prefer the look of Azrael from McFarlane (besides the unpainted claws) to Mafex's more accurate look. Some of us just want a bit of a sexy twist on our figures rather than exactly what they look like in the comic.

I have a handful, and every single time I get one, I'm always annoyed or disappointed in it in some way. Like I collect a good amount of Marvel Legends, and I am almost never nearly as disappointed with one of those as I am with McFarlane figs. They really do suck. I was even one of the people shitting on the line since the beginning, I got AC 1000 Supes to try the line and it was enough to put me off the entire thing, yet, here it's apparently one of the best figures in the whole line? How low of standards does this general have? I took the import pill, and yeah, tariffs just made that path a whole lot pricier, but I still prefer it over getting mediocre slop that is a McFarlane figure. The only Todd toy I haven't had issues with was MK11 Spawn.

My favorite Batman movie is Forever so I'm going to make a bat signal out of the grey unpainted canister and use a blue color filter so it looks like Seal's Kiss From a Rose video. Then the top row will be blue, yellow, and red.

Everyone forgets what the start of the line was like and immediately thinks of Death Metal, but Death Metal wasn't until 2021. They substitute their own reality. Nightwing, Harley, Batman, Superman, Swamp Thing, Damien Wayne, Red Hood, Batgirl, Lex Luthor, and Carrie Kelly all had classic looks in the first 2 years of the line--more if you count the animated figures like Batman Beyond as separate classic looks for those characters.

If you think those ugly ass Knightfall or disco suits are the classic looks, you've lost your marbles. The "Better than Batman" look is pretty much the classic with some extra accoutrements. The only Nightwing I consider classic is the all black with the blue symbol across the arms and chest. How far the blue symbol goes doesn't really matter but it has to be that look.
>Also Rebirth which was close but not exactly classic. Plus those figures were dog water
You're right about the figures being bad but that doesn't mean they weren't made. And they're too close to not count as classic or else we get into arguments over "does it need to be a yellow oval with the bat symbol on the chest to be classic or does it need to be the black bat across the chest?" Either one is classic.
>Damien Wayne
>>11530121
>Damian didn't get his classic look until last year
Are you talking about this alien creature? It's from a modern comic Batman & Robin. The Rebirth looks more like a classic Damien Robin style. What look are you considering classic? Is classic Batman the Detective Comics 27 look? First look=/=classic.
>Batgirl
Basically same issue as Damien. Does it need to match a particular comic you're thinking of down to the boot shape?
>Lex Luthor
The power suit varies by panel in many comics. Did they add a few metal plates or designs here or there? Maybe, because it's McFarlane and they used to add meaningless added detail. But does it matter? Not really. Lex's armor probably isn't even accurate to any one comic panel even if the box says it's from Rebirth.

Again, minor differences don't make it a whole new look otherwise many comics would have 3-4 different looks for one character per issue for a character just due to artist mistakes. You can alter a design a little and its still the same look, not a full redesign.

> Also, you're not referring to the hideous grey one are you?

This is supposed to be an all new look though. I'd argue his newer costume that he currently wears is closer to the classic outfit than the Rebirth one.

If you give all the major iconic characters at once in wave 1-2 then you will have rapidly decreasing sales for the following waves and the line will be canceled. You need an A, 2 Bs and a few Cs and Ds for each wave (assuming larger 6 character waves rather than small McFarlane style waves). Itll be a regular thing, with a membership deal like club greyskull. Going off of what ive seen from motu itll probably focus on more niche figures that are heavy re use and maybe a new piece of gear or something. Im guessing 4-6 a year when mattel gets it dialed in, i just hope they produce enough of the figures so i dont have to deal with another wun darr or grizzlor shit show.

She's based on her appearance in Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow, so the drinking and partying is just a way for her to cope with the fact her entire civilization is gone. Clark never experienced Krypton so he can't really miss it, Kara does, and copes by getting hammered and being a whore.

Zoomie, 4chan isn't "social media", you don't get "engagement" or brownie points for getting people looking at or replying to your posts. People just want to know what's going to happen with a dumb action figure so they ask about it. It'll probably sell out anyway since people in the toy sphere value plastic much more highly than money.

Naming the book "Woman of Tomorrow" and then making her someone who "copes by getting hammered and being a whore" is a very negative message and I don't think I would like to read such a book.

That's unusual, most super heroes don't do that. Most Superman (besides the N52 run which everyone hated) and Batman comics have them perpetually frozen as their iconic selves. Batman can never really be allowed to move on from his mission except in the DKR but that's a movie
