If they stuck to just Rankin-Bass there's plenty they could do. Should they branch out from that license, The Grinch would be a fun release. Beyond that it's slim pickings. Everything becomes a remix of the Christmas Carol for the most part.

I just checked the prices dang that's crazy. Lucy is still available for retail. Didn't they come out at the same time? Did they just not make a lot of him? Personally I don't really like his cyber roided look but I'm guessing they're not going to make his earlier version anytime this century

Soft goods are the highlight, accessories are decent but the wrist augment doesn’t fit snugly (on mine) and the expressions on the faces are just so-so. Articulation is good.

Their diecast cars are available world wide in the same section as hot wheels there is nothing indie about a big company distributing product to major companies yet struggle with action figures when Mattel actually releases product.

I will forever be salty that Jada didn't release their 6" Universal Monsters Mummy. That sculpt was incredible.

Meanwhile, looking forward to Scooby and hoping it goes way past 5 waves for all of the iconic monsters.

The Storm Arena one isn’t out yet, but the Jada one is a solid figure. The Storm Arena one will probably be better based on their Ryu and Ken, but the Jada one is solid too. If you don’t care that the Storm one is based on Alpha and not SF2, then I’d wait and get that one probably.

It’s 1/6, but this looks pretty good to me

Not a fan of this sculpting style for the SF Alpha characters. I'd rather have the whole line in a consistent style.
I think I'm going to lean more into Storm Arena for Alpha characters when it comes to decide to get both/either/none of a character.

These SF Alpha figures seem to go for a more stylized look than the SFII ones, with somewhat flat shapes and harder lines. I suppose that's inspired by the anime look of SFA, but I'd prefer all figures in the line to share the same style instead of recreating that of each game.

I just got Blanka and Sagat. Holy shit, these guys are huge. I could pose them with New Eternia MOTU figures and they wouldn't look out of place.

Is $20 really worth much of anything at all anymore though? I think I wanted him $20 worth, but $25 was just a bit too far. He certainly comes with a lot and I like the character. He has a few disappointing points in that his eyes just don't quite look...right, somehow. I can't really tell how they could've done them better even, perhaps more shading was just needed

After posing him a bit more I'm coming around to the quality. The engineering is just so subtly good, all the little things are done just right. The joints are just the right tightness, not too loose or too tight. The ball pegs on the neck are so well done to get great range. He's so easy to pose and get to stand compared to a lot of other figures I've gotten recently.

He's definitely worth $20, that's for sure.

It's a bit crazy to me that people complain about Jada taking a long time to release figures when that is likely due to one of their great strengths: stringent quality standards. That requires back and forth with the factory to prevent the figures from releasing with issues, which is why their figures are high quality compared to other domestics. If the factory sends samples with issues, it will take time to make them go back and correct them, but you get a better product for your money in the end.

You can see quality suffer in lines like DC Multiverse where obvious mistakes are made that could've been corrected but it would take time, and they're just trying to rush the figure out so usually if it's "good enough" they green light it.

JADA needs to lock in and make more obscure SFA characters rather than putting out the same ones as SA. No way SA would ever release Maki so JADA needs to fill that gap.
