Are the finally adding proper articulation to the Sonic line? The lack of elbow articulation is the reason I never started collecting these even as a hardcore Sonic fag.

I've seen some Tangle reviews on youtube, and some on ebay, but I've never heard of a sighting in a store.

For Sonic or Simpsons? Simpsons has had tons of things come out. Sonic has had several waves but they were mostly junk with repacks of older figures and only new Classics characters nobody cares about.

Sonic. It feels like we've seen plenty of Simpsons throughout the year. Not that I hate it but when i see the giant figures I wish we'd get similar with sonic. I guess we did in the earlier years.

Well they're trying to get new lines (with Simpsons) off the ground. But the first two waves are peg warming all over and on clearance everywhere and still won't sell. So the lines didn't move nearly as much as Jakks or retailers hoped. Retailers are prob just tired of Sonic figs not selling through but that's Jakks' fault for constantly putting bad characters in waves and packing almost nothing but Sonics in each case. Vicious circle.

That seems to be true for pretty much all Sega merch. I haven't seen anything new on the Sonic front in months. Not a single store stocked that comic virus sonic figure with Froggie, and I'm sure I'll never see that Lemur chick. Is the line dead or something?

It's like the Sonic 3 movie toys cooled the whole line off, and it's not like they sucked or anything, I was resetting the checklanes today and the selection is the same as when I gave up in the fall of last year, that's not really bad if you need to catch up, but the character selection and shortpacking horseshit is killing the line's momentum, like rerelease the figs that got shortpacked 5 waves ago, a lot of people don't have Charmy that want him, I still don't have Neo Metal Sonic but I'm so used to their constipated distribution scheme that I know I have a good 24 month window where I can expect to find it in stores, ffs my Targets are still getting new cases of the first Big the Cat wave

I'm just so discouraged by going to the store, finding 2 or 3 of the pedantic rereleases from the wave with the really cool, new figure, but never that new figure and from stocking the cases, they deliberately omit them, like the classic amy wave gets 0 amys and 2 sonics instead so our selection is 2/3 Sonic and 1/3 Espio, retailers can't be pleased with this shit, my meijers are wiping out the 2.5" figures, so there's only checklane figs for the singles now, it would be quite a loss if it weren't always 8-16 of the same Sonic figure on the pegs at every store, in however many years we've brought this "Oops All Sonics" shit to their attention, they're only getting worse
Anonymous No.11544118
>>11544096
It doesn't help when you rerelease the same figures over and over back to back.

I'm at a loss if they think they can run these lines like this without pushback from retailers.

I'm in a similar spot. I still need Neo Metal but at this point I refuse to pay scalper prices out of spite.
I relented to scalpers when I couldn't find Mephiles in stores, but they were selling him for $25 and not $60+ like everyone I see selling Neo Metal, which is fucking absurd.
To this day, the only Charmy I have ever seen in stores is the one I bought. It is absolutely baffling that he has never been included in the checkout lane figures, which are just about the only way to get 2.5" since Jakks sent out way too many of those goddamn Classic Sonics with the chili dogs and clogged the shelves. I don't even collect the 2.5" except when they're ones that go with the 4" line. Charmy isn't even THAT, which is the more frustrating thing in my opinion. They need to make him for the 4" line but I doubt they ever will.
>I'm just so discouraged by going to the store
I don't even check stores anymore unless I already have to go there. It's just not worth the trip when I know the only things I'm going to see are leftovers. The fact that the US hasn't even gotten Metal Virus Sonic or Tangle is fucking laughable. Making them Wal-Mart exclusives was a mistake. Sure, let's put our exclusives in the worst chain of stores in America, the ones where employees don't ever restock things. The store where Jakks sends boxes full of Sonics to line the shelves.
It may sound like I'm making a big deal over toys, but it's just frustrating that this shouldn't be this difficult. It feels like the only figures stores actually care to keep fully stocked at all times are Funko dogshit.
