It's red and blue, just like the og spiderman costume [became to be].

The reason for the heavy blacks is because Frank Miller's style was popular during that time, so artists like Rick Leonardi (Spiderman 2099 artist) started to copy Frank.

It's stated multiple times early on by various characters that its meant to be a black costume. It's common knowledge that blue was the best color to accent shadows on a black costume in comics and the general public just went with him being blue and they eventually retconned it.

They have made original stuff for it in the past I wanna say the first release of Pepper Pots in the Rescue armor was in the Marvel Unlimited subm and she was an all new figure. But taking a quick look at the rest of past releases they're just lame, modern goofy cross over repaints. Like they did Punisher Venom and Kamala Kahn ina Spidey themed costume. It's mostly just easy repaints, I assume they don't want to lock anything even remotely desirable behind that subscription model. People would lose their shit,

I'm not really bothered about Spiderman, I don't have any figures of him, but I feel like I am missing something. I like the more heroic shape of him in general and his head is fantastic, but he looks a bit gorilla armed, the leg cut sheathe thing is absolutely atrocious, the bizarre crotch they do is also an eye sore, his waist gaps out with any articulation it seems, the muscle definition is really soft and the blue isn't correct for the game. What's his height going to be like against other Marvel lines? I think he looks better than some of the others, but to me it still looks like too many drawbacks. When you compare the number of great Batmans or whatever, it feels like every Spiderman is just a bit shitty, including this one, I am not seeing the mind blowing element. It's like he's the Silksong of action figures.

And maybe just in script only, because blue was prominent in the coloring for all the comics and all the early merch was blue, unlike Venom. And Spiderman 2099 came out when Marvel was switching to digital coloring and using higher quality paper.

Based trips. Pins should've been phased out entirely by now, it's been over 5 years since the introduction of pinless joints. While greebling originated as a technique in filmmaking, it is commonly used in model-making, toy design, and kitbashing. The term "greeblies" was coined by George Lucas in the 1970s to describe details on model ships used in the production of Star Wars.

George Lucas coined the term for something in the original Star Wars, which is an unassailable work to any nerd. Thus greebling must be nerd approved.

Normally, yes, but i guess sales are down so much that a vehicle like that can only be released for the holidays.

Back in the day, movie toylines used to get a second wind 6-12 months after the movie came out, because DVD/BD sales used to be so big that a movie that bombed could have a second chance at being successful if the home video release was huge. For a popular movie? Home video releases as much money as the opening weekend
Sales were so huge that movie toylines would become popular again.

But that doesn't happen anymore, because streaming does a really poor job at making money/marketing/being popular and studios don't spend time/money on advertising the DVD/BD release anymore, because they want everything to be streaming now.

Anyway, I hope to see the fantasticar at every Ross this October.

Anyone who tells you the age demographics for Marvel Legend is full of shit.
No one knows the actual age range for who buys MLs specifically.

The most we know is that ~40% of people who buy action figures (in total) are 15+ year olds.
So 60% of action figure consumers 14 years old and younger, and this includes sales for NECA/Figma/Figuarts/Diamond/Mezco too.

That wasn't the point of contention. We're talking about people who are buying Legends. That includes collectors and gift givers.

NPD and other research companies do surveys every week/month, so they know the statistics, hence knowing 60% of action figures being for kids 14 years old and younger.

If there's a more specific survey for Marvel Legends specifically, it either doesn't exist or no one has ever talekd about it.

Here's one for GI Joe from back in the 00s, which Hasbro themselves said had the biggest oldest demographic out of any children's toyline back in 2010 or 2011

I originally asked for the "age demo for Legends", meaning who was collecting them. Adding people giving figures as gifts to kids can really change the stats

Most likely, but practically everything in the line is getting delayed. They should be fixing the hair and smiling face sculpt while they're at it.

Stock has nothing to do with transaction data.
Having worked at both target and Walmart their toy distribution to each store is now automated from previous sells data. Most of their inventory works like that now.
