Final thread I make since this will be the last FFVII Bring Arts SE will release

It's been one heck of a ride for 2-3 years since Bring Arts Cloud was announced, the anticipation, the ups and downs, it was a joy to share it all with you guys, I will now pass the baton of making a new thread to anons who feel the need to make one

Again, it was a pleasure and I will go back to lurking once more after this thread expires

They could have released a Cloud with smiling face riding a Chocobo similar to the og 90's art to atleast even the set to 20

The debut choices for the Play Arts Shin line are so weird. Cloud/Vincent and Zidane being here makes sense since their games are getting remakes, but why are Lightning and Noctis included unless their games are getting something soon too? Also, don't you think Clive should be in this lineup just for the honor of being from the latest mainline game?

With Cloud Rebirth being released in SE's new Play Arts SHIN line next, I don't think FFVII Remake Bring Arts are coming anytime soon.

If you don't want to keep making the thread, then let's rename the general to SQUARE ENIX GENERAL or something. This way, we can talk about the SHFs and upcoming figmas too. Also, it's kind of funny, but I was lamenting recently how I let these FF9 figures slip for dirt cheap because they were incomplete, and then I decided to check eBay randomly right after, and there they were for a reasonable price. Brand new and even came in these cases. These are just amazing. I love them so much.

Also thank you for making these threads so far. Literally the only reason I come to /toy/

These two-packs were so perfect. The pairings just felt so right

Need to take more pics but having 9S and 2B 2.0 for a few days my thoughts are solidifying on them more.
The good:
>Generally very good sculpts, lots of detail without being overly busy
>Paint is mostly good, massive improvement over the 1.0 2B
>Loads of accessories with 2B especially
>Articulation on the whole good
>Heads are great, again vastly better than the 1.0
>The fact 2B can store her entire arsenal on the stand is fucking awesome
The bad:
>Some tolerances are a bit off; 2B's hips are a touch loose and I think her Pod has some stuck joints
>Knees and elbows have great range but are a bit janky sculptwise; if double joints were off the table I would unironically have preferred Figma-style joints with the slightly protruding joint over the nasty gaps you get when they bend
>Some slightly wonky paint in places, albeit mostly confined to minor things like the 2B arm that comes with 9S
>Stands are nightmarish to put together due to how tight they are
The neutral but noteworthy:
>The height threw me off at first but looking at the game and their official statistics, it's actually pretty close to correct for 1/12. Not perfect but certainly "good enough" territory.
Overall I'd say they were well worth the purchase. I'd get them for cheap if you can, but they're not a total disaster like the original release.

I don't mind, desu, I'm not the authority on calling the shots, thread creator is free to name it on what ever he/she likes, I just named it "Bring Arts/Play Arts Shin & Kai/Adorable Arts General" as those are SE's poseable figure lines atm and we can't post statues in /toy (eg. Static Arts, Masterpiece Line, etc)

Those case seemed very durable and looks like its custom made?

How do you open it to let the figure out or you don't have plans to take them out?

Nice hauls btw and you are welcome! its great to interact/talk to with other collectors/fans who are also enthusiastic about the poseable figures from Final Fantasy series. It was a joy chatting and seeing other peoples hauls and how they also pose their toys

I kinda agree on you on your post especially the knees, I don't quite like how the knees are engineered(also preferred the figma's take) but at least its not the PAK peanut knees they used years ago

I feel the ship has sailed for the FFVII line, the perfect time to release Crisis Core figures was when CC remaster was released 2 years ago but hey, we can never tell what SE is planning so I might be wrong and they do release them, although I might not get them as my defacto FFVII figures are these OG style Bring Arts

I don't have many Bring Arts, right now just Zack and the FFT trio. I'm hoping that with the FFT remaster coming out soon, we got more Bring Arts from that game.

I won't probably collect the Tactics Bring Arts even if SE does continue the line because I feel the artwork of the game doesn't translate well into 3d that much but thats just me, still, it would be nice to see more from the series, Alma, Mustadio, Beowulf, Reis, Meliadoul, etc

I think a lot of people thought that, but the figures turned out pretty good to me. If they only did another trio, I would want Orlandu, and Chapter 2/3 Ramza for sure. Maybe Mustadio or Gaffgarion after that.

Tbh, I would prefer if they made Ramza into his mercenary/chapter2,3 outfit as thats what he wore during the very first battle players fight, would pair better with Agrias and Delita who are all armored up

He's fine. Nothing special. Honestly, only recommend if you get a good deal or a discount. Ifrit, on the other hand, is a solid 10/10. If you don't want to pay import tax, you can get him very cheaply on AliExpress. HIGHLY recommended. Torgal is also nice, I guess, but again, just try getting them from either Chinese sellers or wait for Black Friday and hope for a Square Enix store sale.

I'm rearranging right now since I had visitors and put the figures away for a bit, but they weren't really arranged to begin with. I really want to get a nice glass shelf or two, but I can't find any, and IKEA stopped selling Detolfs.

yeah for that you're gonna have to find second hand, one alternative is getting a Billy with glassdoors, one half sized billy would be like a Detolf but its also not the same sadly.
