I bought it. What's there really to say? If you've seen the already released Automorphins you know what you're getting. I wasn't planning to buy any of those figures because they look so bad, but I'm a mark for the villains so they got me. The Rangers are a more metallic finish than the singles, but beyond that they're the same figures with the same accessories. They're even worse in hand than I expected them to be. The leg articulation is beyond bad, with a laughable amount of range. They also tower over Goldar, so I don't understand why these figures are being sold together.
I like Goldar's sculpt, he looks more proportionate and his wings look more accurate than his original 5" toy. His scaling fits in perfectly with Bandai's 5" ESAs. His articulation is better in the arms than his prior 5" counterpart, and he has head articulation unlike that figure, but it's highly restricted by the sculpt. The legs are where he suffers as he has nothing, not even foot swivels (unless you count the right leg moving inward on a spring to activate the wing flapping action feature). I understand that Goldar's design limits what you can do with his legs, but I wish they would have given him ball joints like the original 5" figure, even if they would be significantly hindered by the skirt.
While it could have been better, I overall like it and see it as an improvement over Bandai's old 5" Goldar. If you don't care about the other figures in the pack it's absolutely not worth $60 though. I got the set for just under $45 using the Target Circle card's 5% savings plus the current promo they have on toys, and that's still too much for it. American consumers got screwed hard on this one.
