Possible trailer description for the movie:

>According to a six year veteran on Reddit with a good karma reputation, he and his spouse were on their way to watch the new movie β€œDemon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle” at Regal Cinemas when they were approached by a person with a tablet asking them to provide feedback on a rough edit of a trailer. That trailer was for Masters of the Universe!

On Being Approached to Watch the Trailer:
>β€œWe were heading into see Demon Slayer.”

>β€œCame to the movies today and as we were walking in. My wife and I got stopped and asked if we wanted free movie tickets to give feedback on unreleased movie trailer. Turns out it was for Masters of the Universe.”

>β€œThey showed us the trailer on small tablets so we could answer questions as well.”

On the Quality of the Trailer:
>"It was an early cut of the trailer, with serval shots showing green screen still and a bit difficult to see due to the security watermarks, but it was overall good.”

>"It was about 75% WIP. The cut was quite rough, so it was by no means polished. But the characters I saw all looked good."

Describing the Trailer:
>"It opens with Prince Adam talking to a friend on Earth and they are confused because Cringer is there and they discuss the green tiger. From there it goes to Prince Adam going to his home world and learning about his lineage from who I think is the sorceress, but it was kind of hard to see because of the watermarks.

>After that it bounces around a bit and you see Prince Adam talking to a few of people from Eternia. There was a brief glimpse of Skeletor and who I think was Evil-Lyn. The trailer does show Prince Adam raising the sword and yelling β€œI HAVE THE POWER” and you see the transformation. A few quick scenes of him fighting as He-Man then it ends."

More Thoughts:
>"It was a gamble that could’ve gone either way. The character appearances were brief, but from what I could see they looked solid."

>"Skeletor looked solid, I couldn’t hear any many lines from here. We were in the open part of the theater near the concession stand"

>"It’s an origin story of Prince Adam learning who he is and his lineage on Eternia"

>"It does have a He-Man feel, and the guy playing Prince Adam has that part nailed down"

>"There’s a lot of Eternia in the trailer. Skeletor looked really good he actually looks close to the cartoon. The others were hard to tell due to the watermarks and it being unfinished. My wife liked how Man At Arms looked"

>It all depends on how Skeletor looks and how much comedy and action heavy it is.
If Leto is doing method acting while the script is comedy heavy, it'll be a disaster. If they're winking at Four Non Blondes and Filmation Skeletor memes, your Skeletor actor needs to be leaning into that instead of doing his own serious interpretation. Langella could do so because the rest of the Eternians were straight-faced too.

Everything we heard about Skeletor sounds he is more like 200x and counting rumours we will see a 200x like origin story for Skeletor in the film, it might be the primary inspiration. If Knight can direct John Cena and make him good, I trust him with Leto.

Vince will likely never get a new figure ever again because of the ongoing allegations and lawsuit. The amount of complains whiny newer fans did when Vince popped up in Hogan's memorial package was crazy. None of those people were around for the Golden Age let alone Attitude era. They already kicked Lawler out for #MeToo accusations and Jim Ross left for AEW never to return so no new JR either.

With a new cartoon on the way, animated movie shorts coming, a big-budget live-action film from a great director (Travis Knight), all the amazing toys we’re getting now and even more coming in 2026, plus the new video game (did it release yet?), I am grateful to be a MOTU fan right now.

We are in a golden age. Be happy. Be grateful, because it might not last forever.

So I'm almost finished the CGI MOTU series, and honestly I'm mad that the toyline (and the series as whole) didn't take off more because talking in terms of designs this series has some of the best versions of the characters. Some characters are a bit of a downgrade or just a lateral move, but other characters like Webstor, Battle Cat/Cringer, Beast Man are all objectively better than any previous incarnation.
I also think the series does a great job of reinterpreting characters, like Tri-Klops being a parasitic mind controlling robot that uses other people as hosts is a great idea. Expanding Cringer into being from a whole tribe of cats and using that as a way to give He-Man both the Prince Adam AND savage tribe back stories is a stroke of genius. I really hope we get these versions of these characters in the Masterverse line, or future Origins Cartoon Collections.
I think my most potentially controversial take is that this series has the best version of Skeletor from any series, mainly in terms of characterisation, but I think the design is the most interesting too.

The time to strike was when the people involved were still at least loosely associated, it's been years and the cost and effort required in reassembling the team would likely make any exec balk, especially with Netflix less willing to splurge on projects these days.

It's not IMPOSSIBLE a revival happens somewhere down the line, but it would probably have to be internally motivated, and most likely would take the form of a comic or webnovel type thing.

Netflix can go to hell, Mattel should fund the series themselves and put it on Prime (if they HAVE to go the streaming route). Amazon are already make the new movie, and they will probably be handling the prequel cartoon. Two more seasons 12 episodes a piece, it would be amazing.

Sorceress
Welcome, He-Man.

He-Man
Sorceress of Castle Grayskull. What's happened? Is Eternia in danger?

Sorceress
That's it, He-Man. Skeletor is close to getting his hands on the most dangerous weapon of all.
He has no idea what the fire he's playing with can do.

He-Man
What kind of weapon is that?

Sorceress
He has gained access to Anti-Eternia, the terrible mirror image of Eternia.

He-Man
To Anti-Eternia? ... What is that? I've never heard of it.

Sorceress
Anti-Eternia is Hell. And the beings that live in this world are so
terrible and powerful that they can bring death and destruction upon us.

He-Man
I see... And where is this Anti-Eternia?

Sorceress
It's located in another universe. The universe of darkness.
But in the same place as Eternia. Skeletor wants to create a tunnel to this parallel world.
Through it, the most hideous beasts that hell has ever produced will come.

He-Man
Monstrous.

Sorceress
Look at these pictures! My magical observation device shows me what Anti-Eternia looks like.

He-Man
Tune in, Sorceress! I'm curious to see who Skeletor will turn to to lead us.

Sorceress
Look! This... is Anti-Eternia.

[Thunder rumbles, roars]

Narrator
The Sorceress of Castle Grayskull gave He-Man a glimpse into Hell.
Horrid monsters of unimaginable power and size surged toward a vast, shimmering
opening. And He-Man understood: This was the opening that led to Eternia.

He-Man
By all the ghosts of Grayskull, this is incredible. But why does he let Beast-Man,
Trap-Jaw, and Beast-Man fight me when he could attack with such beasts.

Sorceress
He hasn't made it yet. The beasts can't reach Eternia yet.

He-Man
So he wanted to buy time.

Sorceress
That's exactly right. Skeletor needs time for his plan. But not much more. Soon he'll be able to
do it. Do you see that black figure there? The one with the red mop of hair?

He-Man
Yes. What kind of man is that? He's fighting a dragon...

Sorceress
It's Anti-He-Man, the most powerful fighter on the opposing planet. No one has defeated him yet.
And I fear he's invincible.

He-Man
And that back there, what is that? A shining white castle? Its face resembles the
gate of an angel...

Enchantress
Anti-Grayskull, He-Man. That is the castle of darkness. And Anti-He-Man is the master
of it. He has the dark magic. This makes him the master of the universe of darkness.

He-Man
And Skeletor, that madman, wants to bring him here to our universe. This
could be the end of us all. I must stop it. It must not happen.

Unless it's a silent majority sorta deal, it looks like people want more Transformers or DC or GI Joe or whatever on Origins bucks than are interested in getting the next MotU figures. Not trying to sound "melancholy", that's just the genuine impression I'm getting from online MotU discussions the last few months.

Theres a real chance we don't see anything new for MC until Mattel Creations Revealed which they usually hold in March
We got Dragstor and Sting-Or to plug Oct and Nov
Dec usually doesn't have MotU exclusives that I recall
Eldor (or whatever the third Preternian they promised) could be Jan or Feb (one getting Eldor and one getting nothing MotU)
Then we're up to Revealed anyway and they reveal and release the March figure same day

That said, I would hope that maybe before then they'll reveal ONE figure as a stopgap so we can have a figure in both Jan and Feb. But knowing them it'd end up being some MV figure and a wasted month anyway.

Vintage Collection is odd like that.

Most of MV toys try not to look like each other (with obvious exceptions like 2 Revelation Scare Glows) If they're similar chances are that a lot of time passed between then and new version is likely an improvement. But not Vintage Collection.

Overall speaking about vintage: Vintage Collections are lower on detail, paints, accessories, features, innovations, and customisation options.

But they have one and one specifically imporant element to them/ They do exactly what they promise.they faithfully take vintage designs and translate them onto Masterverse body. No more, no less. They really exist specifically for people who want that.

Or IDK, maybe Mattel sabotage NEela's face on purpose to trick you into buying twice. Who knows.

i'm from 92
wasn't born when vintage was around, didn't watch the 200x cartoon. (and wasn't as big a fan of the toy designs, the chinese aspects turn me off much like most TMNT crossover parts)

for me the appeal is the standalone bizarre toys, i have that exact same nostalgic feeling

I personally don't prioritize knowing an ip or series at all when it comes to toys, i much prefer headcanoning and apreciating the toy as its own thing.
If that is something you can get on board with, just pick up whatever you think is cool.

I think minicomic trap jaw is very cheap now, and it's a goated figure with a really great colourscheme. And thisis coming from someone who loved loved loved og trapjaw.

tl;dr

I'd suggest getting the toys you like for toys sake now if you can find them cheap.
At the absolute worst case scenario, you can use their parts as custom fodder later wich is a ton of fun.

>>11581778
I personally like the hair, reminds me of a wrestling getup or mr. T.

I was a 90s kid. My mom bought me Battle Cat, Panthor, Roboto, Stonedar and Castor Greyskull with no accessories and those were my ONLY MOTU toys growing up. I had no idea who or what Heman even was. And they were the coolest fucking shit I ever had and I loved them. To me Roboto and Sronedar are the protagonists of MOTU lol.

The entire toyline started before the cartoon. All kids had food awhile (I think a year) was a toyline with completely different stories and origins in pack in mini comics. The original creator had ideas for worldbuilding that no one ever even knew or used. Like Castle Greyskull being the head of a dead giant. MOTU was made to facilitate imagination and making it up yourself because barbarians and robots are the coolest shit ever.

This is what my mother says when shes lost the conversation, which gave me the idea that you might acutally be a woman. And maybe you really are a fan from back in the day, and this comic means a lot to you.
And so I am sorry if I took a smelly dump all over you getting to post your comic here for us. If...IF you really were just having fun with a vanity project, good for you. You are on the same level as Scott as far as "kids getting a wish come true" type gig. I don't think you put instructions to make He-Man look retarded and awful.

But someone did. Unless all those images are some bullshit prank, this comic perfectly encapsulates how corporate wokeness can't help but sabotage itself.
Not raging at you or attacking you. I'm 100% going to take it face value that you wanted to tell a story beccause its a nicer world to live in, that a fan got to grow up and be on a new show and then write a comic about her character. Everything else I am going to say is for
Ruth who needs to pay attention.

You can't fool me.
I am the same age as Tiff, and a university graduate. I took two years of Mass Communications, and then I switched my major to English so I could take more electives - Art history, critical thinking, post colonial literature. And this was in the early 00's so I was there for the laying of the groundwork for the Woke era.

If it wasn't intentional to fuck He-man over, then there is some serious editorial problems.
Even if its not his specific comic, He-Man is the brand. Maybe Andra will surpass him in pop culture relevance someday. But right now, guys who want to see He-Man look awesome are the target group that cares and will spend money.
If this is a real thing that got released and you expect someone to part with thier hard earned dollers for, no one deserves to look like unfinsihed sketeches like HM and Teela do in that panel with Andra.
Compare how Dekker is presented in his panel. Look at how neutred HM looks sitting at the campfire. At some point the editor had to have seen this and still okied it. The whole universe's main character looks like a lobotomzed faggot. You can't sell that to me.

You want to make the men like me spend money. I am not going to do it when the main guy I like doesn't get respected. This is a lesson you should be learning from the cultural shift at large, and more specifically from the netflix Kevin Smith shows. You went the subverted expectations route and how did it go? Was the show a success? Did it sell toys? Expand the audience?

I had to listen to lectures on the importantance of representation. There were so many rules and considerations. I was there as this kind of thought was taking hold. And why men are checking out from this brands and why they fail to gain new audiences is because you didn't build up good characters that meet your identity checklists, you did it by tearing down the original heroes.

Not ragous. Just blogposting

I really, really shouldn't respond but since you posted whole fucking essay I'll give you naive benefit of doubt that you wish to actually communicate and not just bother me further. Or you know desperately prove that you're right and you won argument. You seem to take this seriously and perhaps, even believe you're talking to Tifanny.

Im going to lay out very clearly my thought process so there is no misunderstanding where was I going with everything and what my thought process was.

I have no issue with you thinking that issue must be crap and cheapens the brand by existing. I just think throwing argument "He-Man must be useless" is a dumb knee-jerk reaction argument.

Why does it matter so much to me? Most of all because throwing stuff like that cheapens your whole argument. Like I get it, this isn't academic debate club. It's 4chan, we come here so we can freely call people faggots. But if you throw something meaningful (Jews are committing genocide in Gaza!) in the same breath as something not-so meaningful (Jews make frogs gay!) then both arguments are unlikely to be taken seriously. It makes it easier to dismiss all our criticisms as bigoted haters if every post goes something like "Revelation was bad because we're suppose to root for Teela being selfish self-centered bitch who blamed Adam for dying of and also there was negress in the cast".

On lesser note, you'll just make yourself unhappy if you'll look out for boogeymen everywhere. CGI He-Man raceswapped and genderswapped several characters. It was still great. If you preemptively lash out on it because you're trying to hard to find woke poisoning, you'll miss out. It's like throwing out every Batman comic or cartoon the second dude loses a fight while complaining that writer turned Batman into pansy out of hatred for white people.

Also...as MOTU fan, Id like more stories that arent about He-Man. Or about Teela, Man-At-Arms and Orko. I'd love stories where Mekaneck, Roboto or Man-E-Faces can have adventures about them. So I kinda have to be pro "He-Man CAN be sidelined for a bit" mentality.

That's all I cared about but you didnt really replied my argument you shifted focus to goofy He-Man face. Which trust me, wasn't necessarily intentional hateful attack on He-Man...just low quality modern industry artwork. Ive seen my fair share of woke superheroes (Unbeatable Squirrel Girl for one) and trust me, they have some hideous art. You might as well argue that Revolution was intentionally made to give Teela hideous design and bitch personality because writer hated her and wanted to make He-Man look better. There is new comic based on Spider-Man TAS and people mostly talk about mostly about Peter looking like rat-faced 50 year old on every panel. Shit happens because industry really isn't what it used to. Which is bad of course, but no really related to "this comic hates He-Man" point.

And then you just responded with "lol, you lost".

At which point I declared argument over because...look, I dont know how old you are but at some point you realise there is really no point putting time, investment and energy into internet argument that clearly arent going anywhere. Learn from me while you can. Its sometimes better to cut things short.

You're free to still assume Im Tiffany (not) or woman (not, not tranny either) or that Im dishonest about anything I wrote here. It goes both ways, I can always assume you're just trolling but Im giving you some benefit of doubt, hope I wont regret it.

So do Anons prefer classic buff Hordak or slender Nosferatu Hordak?
I think I prefer the slender version. My enjoyment of the CGI series (do we have a generally accepted nickname for that series like we do for 200X?) notwithstanding, I just prefer the him being skinny as a way to help differentiate him from Skeletor. I know the designs are both very different, but them both being buff just makes there silhouettes to similar. To me Skeletor is a fighter, like if he didn't have magic he'll still get into a fist fight with He-Man, but Hordak is a creature of the shadows, something ancient that brings fear and death.

The fear of 'cultural appropriation' probably means we will never get cool mesoamerican guys. Or like Mexican skull guitar guys. Or just sombrero ass mothetfuckers. Probably will never so Pharoah's. Or fucking hell I dont think there even are latinos until Sunman got brought over and the Sunmen are kind of lame. They probably would never do any cultures besides SNAKES FUCKING SNAKES AHHHH I FUCKING HATE SNAKES
>this could all just be for fear of straying too far from a nostalgia driven line BUT FUCK YOU STOP MAKING SNAKES AHHH
>or just creative bankruptcy

I should probably just read fucking barbarian fantasy or something at this point.

>I didn't even know Stratos was a monkey or black people were called monkeys until I was like 25
I know there is this whole thing about "those who forget the mistakes of the past are doomed to repeat them" but there is also an argument to be made for letting language and stereotypes fade out of consciousness. A prime example from here in Australia, there was a whole hubbub made about the cheese brand "Coon" which one Aboriginal guy made his life's mission to get removed because the name was "racist" which he finally succeeded in doing after the Canadian parent company got freaked out by the BLM shit in 2020, but some things that I don't think were taken into account were 1. the cheese was named after Edward Coon, the guy who developed the method for how the cheese was made, and 2. Most younger people have never heard or used the word "coon" in a racial context, most either think of the cheese, or at a stretch think of Raccoons (which we don't have in Aus). If the guy had just left it alone, there was a real chance the word as a racial slur would have just ceased to exist.
Incidentally the guy is now trying to claim two million in damages because the company didn't change the name sooner, which makes me think that it wasn't really about the name.

What i meant was that the horror stories are not Stephen King level. But horror stories equals the Goosebumps frightening level.
>How is Die drei ???...
It is more like Sherlock Holmes or Carl Barks Scrooge McDucks. The jokes are like Marvel movies or James Bond jokes. Scooby Doo is more slapstick jokes. But you could argue that they have the same adventure approach.
But there are audio series like John Sinclair that are more for teens and older. Kinda like US horror or monster comics.

That makes total sense since most of the plot went over my head to be honest, with the inside jokes and references.
For the time being I'm sticking with the simpler written kids stuff.
I'll def give ??? another go.

>John Sinclair
Oh dude, of course I heard of Sinclair!
Back when libgen was easy access I downloaded a bunch of issues to check them out.
Also Demona King, Larry Brent, Zamorra, because of the guy behind H.G. Francis (Anti-Eternia) who wrote a lot of these.
Some titles are still going with 1000 plus issues. It never ends!
Most are still a bit above my level, especially since all titles are intertwined, with references and crossovers.

>The jokes are like Marvel movies or James Bond jokes
I got the impression that is exactly what Professor Zamorra is about?
