Got the Draculaura scooter, pretty happy with it. Hair is poly (yuck) but face is good, no issue with digital eyes and the scoooter has nice details

This Clawdeen looks so classy to me, it really gives fashion magazine editor. She literally wanted to be a designer and I think this look captures that vibe so well by not having super bright or out of place colors

so I'm in a similar boat as you anon, I just don't get why she got a chilly reception. It's not just the price either, some are saying she doesn't look good. Debatable once we get in person pics, but I wouldn't agree just going by promo pics

i love her she looks great, i do think she'd look a bit better with her hair down, but i think the updo still works, i really like her whole outfit, the purple jacket definitely completes the look and adds some nice contrast

Anons, with Chinese blind boxes becoming a huge trend, why are mini BJDs or MJDs not a part of this craze? The hobby shops I frequent are lined with statues from these same companies but not the poseable ones.

Why is that? The BJD/MJD blind boxes are about the same prices as Labubus. Heck, some of them are even less expensive, like pic shown. Do people not want to deal with articulation? Or is it just mindless trend chasers buying what their influencer told them to instead of looking for alternatives?

New straight male doll collector here.
Just wanted to ask, is it normal for me wanting to untied my new doll 's original hairstyles/ hairtied ? It's just seem more easy to brushing and posting their hair when their hair is in natural long hair style.
I recently got my monster high jinafire and i cut her hair tied to set her hair loose. I don't know if i made the right decision.....

Welcome, brother.
Yes, it's normal to want to untie a doll's hair and brush it. Matter of fact, it's recommended to do so in order to any glue/holding gel removed so it doesn't get hardened and crusty down the line. You can always restyle it later. Although I would advise on watching some doll hair care & simple restyling videos before you do anything drastic.

I recently started to collect dolls when i find them to be more fun than action figures. So pretty and elegant, and with doll now usually highly articulate and posable, they become more fun than action figures ( i still like action figures, i am just saying i recently find dolls to be a lot of fun and beautiful

You should be able to find good walk-through tutorials on straightening your dolls hair, unfortunately though dolls come with different hair types that can make it difficult or impossible to get the hair to look nice, approach any heat treatments with caution

Got mine. You have one more chance tomorrow morning for the public sale. What I do to get my limited Skullectors:
- Be already logged in and payment method saved. For Alien I was planning on PayPal but they took away that option for some reason so I quickly used Google pay.
- Refresh the page when countdown timer ends and quickly add to cart and checkout. It will have you solve a captcha by selecting category images and then put you in a checkout line.
- I was on mobile and wifi if that helps.
- Use credit card if you're poor lmao

It's because boys vs girls is so rooted in society that companies don't bother to push into male dolls. Mattel had a campaign of Ken at different jobs and showed a father playing with his daughter, but it didn't catch up.

I'm more into Playmobil and similar, and action figures, but I do want to collect male dolls. I have very little interest in buying dolls, and if I do, it has to be the Hilda of Polaris doll.
