A few days later, this set is easily the star of the show for me. The lion-truck figure is simple, but well articulated and effectively designed. The paws forming part of the mane for combined mode is smart and unexpected. The shameless pile-of-limbs trailer manages to blend into the playful ridiculousness of the core vehicle. And the small jet becoming the hilt of a sword is the cherry on top.

Just really imaginative stuff, balls-to-the-wall execution of style and substance. A love letter to the history of robot toy design. “Kino” even.

from what I remember from unboxing vids, both Ground Dion and Cloud Across only used about half the box space for the main unit, with the other half for the accessories, pilots, and all the smaller pieces. I can easily imagine them fitting both into thye same box, and figuring out how to fit all the accessories and shit into whatever leftover space they can find

The build is cursed. Not only is the manual full of misprints, a decorative piece of her chest completely fucking shattered on me- so I improvised a golden 'jewel' to replace it.

so i just bought one of these thinking it was a full kit, but its actually just a set of optional parts. Whatst heb est way to make use of these? Do i just buy a character model set and incorperate the parts? Or do they have other boxes with additional parts to make your own character if you don't want to buy a set of an existing character?

They do sell limb kits and decal sets, but it's easier to buy one of the existing character kits and go from there.
Or go sicko mode and give her 30 Minute Mission limbs instead.

Got a pair of Xeno Strike today and took the time to build the navy one. It's pretty awesome, and apart from maybe a bit of weirdness at the shoulder, you'll be able to do like 99% of the poses you want. Can't wait to build the red one in a few days.

The only thing I don’t like is the propeller kibble on the lower legs. I’ll wait for reviews before deciding, maybe there are some alternate configurations.
