I don't collect figurines so I have no clue what brand is the best at the moment. There have been many entries to the franchise by now but I am looking for the original from the first movie. I know with these things the sky is the limit so I am looking for something that is/was widely available and under $200. It's for display so movie accuracy and detail is most important. I am not in a rush so I am willing to wait for an upcoming release if it's worth it.

The Romulus "big chap" aka XX121 from the deleted scene from Alien Romulus is inaccurate and the head shape is wrong compared to the original movie design. Picking it for movie accuracy is like picking a RotS Vader figure to duel with your Death Star duel Luke Skywalker. Cool figure, but it's not accurate to anything seen on screen.

A lot of people don't like him because the rubber skin suit has a tendency to tear. I like it but I don't pose it. I just have him displayed in a somewhat neutral pose. If you're careful with him he's pretty cool imo. Comes with some cool accessories and a great base/stand. The Mafex is the most film accurate, however.

Are there any plans for 1/12 Xenos that are NOT Big Chap ? Be they Aliens Warriors, the Runner or any other type.

It’s a really tough call. I think NECA paint and texture is really nice compared to the mafex but, the mafex has the better dome shape but also, the mafex is a really loose floppy figure.

As well as the dome, the maw is more accurate on the Mafex, but the fact that they gave it interchangeable heads and jaw instead of an articulated jaw feels like they kind of cheated. Too bad the QC is a crapshoot. I hope they reissue it and actually focus on QC this time.
And while we are at it, the NECA 1/4 scale figure also has the ridge on the dome and the mouth is more accurate than the Ultimate Big Chap. Anyone saying "NECA is more accurate" without being able to explain why is obviously a brand whore, because there are clear differences between the two scales so at least one NECA figure is inaccurate. Really, I would love if they could downsize the 1/4 scale head and put it on the Ultimate body and release it as the Ultimate Ultimate Big Chap.

If the NECA Ultimate was as accurate as the 1/4 scale, it would have the ridge on the dome. And we can't put it down to it lacking that detail because it is smaller, because the Mafex managed to include that detail.

I want 52toys to do one like their upcoming statue in 1/12, I'm hoping they do that considering they are doing a classic Predator. I just watched a showcase video of the Yoshi xeno and it looks fantastic, I just don't like the small mouth and other stuff, so will probably pass.

There is no good Big Chap figure. Mafex came close but the joints are super floppy and NECA's QC is notoriously shoddy to the point figures sometimes break out the box.
