I think you gotta cut your nails and smooth them down before handling the figure though; The soft-body is easy to damage if you aren't careful, especially around the ankles & knees where the skin is at the weakest point.

- I can't find any short figma shins with sockets/ankle joints compatible with figma Conan's grabby-toes, since those use a thinner joint (usually the ones for elbows as opposed for ankles). Where can I find one?

- Making him meant peeling off the glued-on parts of figma Yukikaze's hat... but it left a nasty bald patch. How do I touch that bald patch up with paint, and seal it so it doesn't leak (while keeping his hair's figma matte finish)?

Find a paint that matches (good luck finding the right hue), that also won't react with the paint already on it or the sealant already on it, and then choose a matte sealant that won't react with that paint, the paint on it, or the sealant already on it.

Look, you'll probably be fine with an acrylic paint as long as it's thinned properly. Painting a small defect isn't some masterful skill. Paint a plastic fucking spoon a few times until you figure the consistency out to get a smooth brush stroke paint application.
