DC General - Now With EVEN MORE Batman Edition
Blokees introduced DC characters for their Defender series at the China 2025 Toy Expo - it was all Bฬถaฬถtฬถwฬถaฬถnฬถkฬถ ฬถ Batman, but presumably they will make at least some Superman and Wonder Woman? Or maybe some Arrow, with Felicity and the Arrowcave?

McFarlane Toys
- Page Puncher Cheetah and Extant pre-orders came and went, even GS is out
- Multiverse 21" Batman '66 Batmobile (with NO accessories or figures) will be available for pre-orders Friday

- meanwhile, it's been less than 72 hours so the news from the previous, previous thread is still the most accurate, recent news.

I just want an Absolute Batman before McF loses the license. Thatโ€™s one design that I think McFarlane would do better than Mattel, especially if it gets the mega treatment. Probably wonโ€™t happen though, Iโ€™ll probably have to settle for some anime inspired m, off model import AB figure. Iโ€™d eat up a whole BAF wave if it was to build this guy

Batman Returns wave status:
>Amazon set pushed back to January 5 (previously December 19, previously January 2)
>BBTS cancelled Catwoman and Batman, said they were going to ship Penguin but cancelled the order because what's the point without the other two

Instead of making 10,000 more Zatannas or a few thousand more of the Batman Returns wave we needed more Jokerized figures.

The care with which this Superman was placed back in his box is the same care with which the figure line is now made. It is an emblematic image, displaying the disregard and callous, unfeeling nature with which releases are now rattled off. The low volume of figures put up sell out and no careful eye takes note, seeking to please a wider range of the audience. DC Multiverse is handled as if it were a line already gone.

This photograph is a document of the carelesness we all felt toward mcfarlane toys dc imprint, multiverse, at the time. A time of stocked pegs and a regular refreshing of figures. We were all guilty of gross neglect in caring for the line then, we were rich in peg warmers and clearance aisle pick ups. It is only now apparent that we abused and squandered our mutual resource pool of mcfarlane toys dc imprint, multiverse. Sadly, given the current company we keep here at dc gen i dont think a lesson has been learned about how to best nuture and care for a toy line such as multiverse.

For the people who missed Todd's shitty FOMO pre-order bullshit, this was at my old local GameStop yesterday afternoon. They only had the one, which is pretty typical for most GS.

Unfortunately, because GameStop can't afford to pay coders or engineers anymore, their website search function is pretty useless and it doesn't even pop while it was sitting in front of me, as being available in ANY stores within 100 miles of where I was standing, which the employee himself has a good laugh about when I pointed it out.

You'll need to call if you want it (I had no interest). You need to give the employee the description information numbers from the webpage so they can search or the exact page title, not just ask if they have 'Extant?'

That reminds, I passed on Page Puncher Mullet Superman - also in stock as a new arrival at GameStop - because I hate the long hair look on Supes. For those still looking for this figure.
I also passed because the PP are overpriced just to buy for a Superman buck when I have several spares of those - with trunks even.

And why yes, the pictures are shitty because that's my crap android work phone and I was also not about to get on my knees on the fucking floor of a GameStop to get a good head on shot for a bunch of random anons on 4chan.

I hit a Target afterwards, and they had plenty of the Guardians, Sandmen, but also had one lonely Metron on his (Lex's/Black Adam's) chair. Except for the fact that his accessories were cheapened from being black repaint, he looked good. It's an instance where the diaper is not necessarily the downfall of the figure. And I put it in my cart but took it out once I got to the (long) lines to pay. I'd want an entire, really good line-up of Fourth World figures, not just one semi-decent random figure.

They are putting the Mr. Terrific Epic Strike on sale, I saw that in a few clearance aisles. I have seen that guy, but only in the larger Super Center type Targets. I did not know it was an exclusive. The Superman Epic Strike can still be found on pegs, but not many - they seem to sell while the flying Krypto peg warms.

Someone has got it for as little as $16 on Mercari. You might get lucky and find it at an Ollie's, Ross, etc. I know they have started getting toys in for the holidays at Ross.

If you get that specific number at the bottom of the web page for the figure, you can call the customer service line at the actual stores and ask them if it's in stock. If you are in a Target in person doing other errands, you can actually go in person and ask the customer service desk person to look it up for you. They will only give you results for their 'district' but unless you live in a huge metro area like NYC or Chicago - or some place fucking geographically spread out and displaced all over like Tampa Bay, you should be fine.

>Todd's shitty FOMO pre-order bullshit
This is what killed comics in the 90s, killed trading cards, and now kills McFarlane collecting. I hate his attitude of how you have to resort to ebay if you want his shit bad enough. I literally skipped Mortal Kombat because of how bad Todd has pissed me off with his huckster mentality. I'm still surprised so many of you stick with him.

I'm the person that first wrote that in this chain, up above, and I'm not talking about a toy designer or manufacture having pre-orders. Yes, you're right everyone does it. But Todd is clearly doing it with REALLY low production numbers. He's doing a GameStop exclusive with Extant but not even sending more than just enough product so that just SOME stores get ONE figure. And pre-orders that close in under 12 hours is absurd, Taylor Swift management team concept to milk money except Todd only seems interested in making a few eBay scalpers rich, while Warner Brothers Consumer Products and his own company get little, if anything, and also pissing off his customers to boot.

Super7, Hasbro, Mattel, etc. - they AREN'T doing THAT.

I've only purchased two Hasbro pre-orders so I'm more likely an outlier and not representative but I had no problem getting the Deadpool movie pre-order done at BBTS without needing to be up at some god awful hour or needing to engage in autistic OCD behavior like refreshing a page every two seconds.

I also had no trouble getting the non-jacket Power Girl after those "pre-orders" sold out and paying only retail. I have a friend who collects Barbies and she tells me that only a few collector's things require pre-orders for those and she also told me she's never had a problem. Her worse problem is getting accessory kits (without paying an arm and a leg to scalpers). I don't know anyone who collects SW or MOU so no clue how those pre-orders go - but going by skimming the 3/4 most recent GENS in the archive, and doing a search for "pre-order" - you don't read or see the teeth knashing and other garbage McFarlane is making the DC customers put up with.

My Amazon order for that figure is set for November 24th, but McFarlane dates constantly move around. Usually if the figure is in stores but your order hasn't shipped yet it's never going to be fulfilled, though I'm not sure how it works directly from their store. I'd assume people like you would be top priority since you're paying for that ridiculous shipping and trusting a company on the verge of bankruptcy run by scammers with your information and those types usually like to keep their marks happy, or maybe they'll just fuck you over like everyone else.

I had shitty experience with MTS customer service and their shipping, with only 1 of 3 or 1 of 4 of my orders (I forget now) coming in from them without any problems, damage, etc. But I've never had a cancellation. If it's in stores, it should be at McFarlane to distribute to you. Send them an email is what I would do.

>>11604461
McFarlane probably fulfilled from the port in Long Beach or where ever their crap landed from China once it got to the States, directly to Game Stop in Texas because they (GS) carry enough. They also probably shipped directly to EE, which is also in LA and would have received their shipment first, so you would think anyone that ordered from them would chime in here (or elsewhere) that they have them in hand. BBTS probably got them as well by now, so same thing. And then everything else that wasn't accounted for went to NV or AZ, whichever location Todd maintains his current warehouse at.

It's probably a container run or controlled by Amazon where Todd pays some rental/storage fee based on his delivery to non-Amazon sellers, so it behooves Todd to get that stuff shipped out sooner rather than later than pay any storage fees. It's also likely why Amazon no longer has overstock (in addition to Todd intentional producing absurdly small runs).

Walmart got in a new batch of figures. I got Hush Riddler and Bronze Age Scarecrow.

Scarecrow is super cool but I can't get his reaper blade in his hand, as the plastic is super tight and I didn't want to risk breaking the fingers. Also, who the fuck greenlit the box/card artwork? My god, there is a bunch of decent covers with the Bronze Age Scarecrow on it (including the Gene Colan drawn one from the mid 80s which is where the skull accessory came from) they could have used instead of the modern dreck artwork they used.

Riddler meanwhile was a big wash as it doesn't capture Jim Lee's ginger himbo Riddler look whatsoever. It looks more like Tom Schwartz from Vanderpump Rules cosplaying as Riddler.
