These skeletons are dumb. And that’s fine, I’m just not gonna buy them. But the fact that the only way currently to get a normal colored skeleton is to pay $50 for the Maxillius makes these insulting. And no, I don’t want your shitty grayscale graveyard skeletons. Just some normal goddamn skeletons.

I'd actually enjoy the brightly colored skeletons if their normal ones were easier to get a hold of. They need to drop an In Stock army builder wave with basic Skeletons, Zombies and the new Orcs, the "Legions" aspect of Mythic Legions has been sorely lacking as of late.

Hopefully after the wave 3 Deep Ones that I've been waiting two and a half fucking years for. I've also got Death Dealer on preorder, but I would really prefer to get those Deep Ones before all of my hair turns grey. Then they can do Elric and DD and whatever else they have planned.

The whole reason they did that staggered release schedule was supposedly to help speed up their releases, but it honestly feels the opposite has happened. Other KS may have had delays, but once they released their stuff, they just dropped everything all at once. I got their Lizard men over a year ago, only recently got the Barbarians, so it's most likely another year before the fishmen come out, and that just feels kind of absurd. Especially since they keep coming out with other new figures in the mean time. Yea they're all repaints and all, but those figures are still planned, tooled and produced, which pushes back other items in the pipelines.

We also haven't seen a single new image of the supposed wave 4 Dwarf they teased back during the KS. Their current wave 4 seems to be more lizards and barbarians, which is cool and all, but it always felt like they planned to have each wave be it's own thing and instead they're just rehashing what's already been released.

I do love the figures though, got both DD and Elric on pre-order, and I'll gladly grab their next Frazetta character release, but the way they do releases will never not be irksome.

>>11604289
....I didn't even notice that, the color choices make way more sense now. Still not getting any, but it does make them just a bit more interesting as figures now that I'm aware of the reference.

>it always felt like they planned to have each wave be it's own thing and instead they're just rehashing what's already been released.
The reptilians in this wave are an entirely new sculpt from the Lemurians. Much more like snake scales than the pebbly texture of the first wave. Not sure about Kubla Khan because I skipped wave 2, but I'm guessing it's the same.

It was $23 for one figure for me to Australia, or 4 figures to Australia for $30. Not as bad as I was expecting, and I have a feeling BBTS will work out to cost more. Postage theree will probably be in the $27-$36 range, plus tax, plus whatever retail markup BBTS will have.
Now I need to decide which ones I want. Two desert snakes and the Gorgon for sure, but do I want Kubla, or do I want an extra Gorgon to make another snakeman? I've got until December to make the decision.

I'm aware, and appreciate, that the snake men are new molds. My issue is that the *theme* of the wave is rehashed, as it's another wave of reptilians and a barbarian. Any other line, this wouldn't bother me, but SC seemed to be pushing towards each wave being a unique race/theme. First was the Lemurians, next was Barbarians/Humans, the third wave is Old Ones and originally the fourth wave was supposed to be Dwarves. They even had the first figure of the wave tooled and painted already, sending samples to reviewers and everything. So hearing that the actual fourth wave is just going to be more reptilians and barbarians is kind of disappointing.

Not saying they don't look good, and I even plan on grabbing Kubla Khan, but I would have rather seen a whole new type of figure over similarly themed new characters.

>>11604890
May Hermes himself deliver your package with the utmost swiftness.

>>11604923
While not a dealbreaker, I agree his face is too fleshy. He should be a ghostly pale and inhumanly pristine, his white skin and white hair being almost identical in color, but the current face just looks like normal dude. Already have him P/O'd so I'm still getting him, but a paler face, even as an option, would've been nice.

>>11605173
I'll wait till they hit BBTS or something, SC shipping is pretty harsh. Guess they going through the same trouble the 4H did when they first started shipping out Legions, as they had some pretty horrendous shipping as well.

>I'm aware, and appreciate, that the snake men are new molds
I was just clarifying in case you were under the impression that they were just the Lemurians with new heads since that's what Kubla feels like.
I get ya. You are racist and think all reptoids look alike. I tend to cross the street when I see one coming towards me. Seriously though, the only reason I'm not mad is because I love snakes/lizards/monstermen and we've been getting Mythic dwarves for almost 10 years. I can wait a little bit longer for more dwarves, even if I do like that render more than most of the Mythic Dwarves we've gotten so far.
>They even had the first figure of the wave tooled and painted already, sending samples to reviewers
I remember them saying they had dwarves planned for wave 4 during the Kickstarter, and I think they might have shown off a sculpt back then (not sure if it's the same one you posted, I seem to remember it being more steampunkish), but I didn't know they had sent out samples to reviewers. I'm gonna need to check that out.

Thanks anon, I'm the loser with the list and, at least fantasy wise, her along with Maiev, Tyrande and Sláine top it, so Greyknight have been a blessing. With their Maiev tease, they are knocking out three of them on their own.

>the fourth wave was supposed to be Dwarves
More dwarves would have been cool (though ones with swords go in the Book of Grudges), I do wonder though if you'd have felt any differently had we not suddenly entered the age of abundance when it comes to barbarian figures. It seems like everyone is making them right now, it's kind of crazy. I wonder how long ago they made the decision.

>>11605194
I'll go and see if adding another is the same for here, that might make it more reasonable. I know China bake their shipping into the figure cost, but even so, it's so frustrating how much cheaper buying from there is compared to the US and how erratic it is. One site will be $8, another $23 and Mondo ask for $50 ffs. I don't get it.

It's essentially the same mold, but what made it feel more "steam punk-ish" was the head and guns it came with.

>I do wonder though if you'd have felt any differently had we not suddenly entered the age of abundance when it comes to barbarian figures.

I do love me the over abundance of Sword and Sandal figures we been getting these days, but I was excited for the SC Dwarf long before Conan figures were bursting at the seams. I enjoy a bit of variety in my collections and Dwarves are a good combo breaker to the mix and can really help change up the dynamics of any adventuring party they join. I'm actually super excited about that Astrollorz Studio Assassin Dwarf, partly because he looks cool but partly because that's such a unique character concept and figure.

He was the only wave 2 figure I was really interested in back during the Kickstarter, but i was so focused on the other two waves that I dropped him and figured I'll just grab him on release. And then I didn't have the cash when they had their in stock sale, and he just slipped from my mind until we were talking about the new wave with Kubla Khan. It was serendipitous that someone cancelled when they did.

Just ordered myself a Zombie girl, was on the fence for grabbing one of the Blind Box skeletons but decided against it because I know I'll be spending way too much on plenty of other figures they're about to drop.

With Legionscon next weekend and all the exclusives it comes with and the new wave that will inevitably drop along side it and their impending TTRPG Kickstarter coming early next year which should feature a limited re-release of the SDCC Paladin and who knows what else, it's gonna be an expensive few months for 4H fans.

Don't know if anyone else cared about this, but I was quite disappointed that the prior announced Elden Ring line was a no show at WF. MF Studio have now revealed "Leilana" part of the "Knight's Oath" series, so clearly they didn't get the official license they were claiming they had. I wonder what happened. Anyway, they seem to be presenting her as just a weirdly proportioned knight lady who just happens to have blurred out accessories that have a striking resemblance to Rellana. It is also 1/12 (18cm). Unless I am mistaken, it looks like the blue fabric is going to be sculpted plastic, which is a shame. I wonder if this will actually see the light of day, I hope so at least.

Also, today is last day to pre-order your zombies! The blindbox skeletons may be ass, but the zombie duo look great and they can easily slot right into a Mythic shelf with some slight part swapping. I'm super tempted to go, but between travel and tickets, I feel I could just save that money and buy more figures. I only really want some of the exclusives, and I'm debating whether or not they're worth the two hour drive through jersey to get there.

Though buying that Valguard would essentially give me two full figures since I already have an extra gold torso, arms and helmet ready to go and just need the legs and wrists which he comes with.

Of all the Skeletons out there, the Fwoosh one is kind of on the lower rung, especially for how much they charge for em. Their sculpts are weird, articulation wonky and they honestly don't feel that good in hand. Maybe it was because I got one of the first release ones, but I was very much not impressed.

When I saw that Monster Force two pack with all the extra weapons I was tempted, but once I noticed they were Fwoosh skeletons, I lost all interest. And I'm not just saying that to hate on the Fwoosh stuff because it's the "cool" thing to do, I legit liked their Ninja and Samurai, and was planning to get their Ninja Scroll figures. But their skeletons just didn't work for me.

And to prove I actually have one, I have a pic with it and all the other non-Legions skeletons I own. Though to be fair, I did bury him in the pic because I just was not that fond of it lol.

Let's try this again hopefully the pic is the right orientation this time.

My Sylvanas arrived and I am blown away. I'm pretty new to all this, but this figure is just incredible I can't believe it's real Grey Knight have a fanboy. Aside from Gundamit fucking up and not sending the preorder belly part, which they better fucking correct, it's everything I could have hoped for. The joints all feel amazing, she comes apart so smoothly for swapping pieces, the cloak is made out what feels like fucking satin or something, it's beautiful, the paint is gorgeous she's just incredible. I'm properly enamoured. She even has nipples, I mean come on man. I was worried about scaling as she is 1/10th, but height wise she is a tiny bit taller than Conan and she has small heels the actual face, hands etc. are all in proportion so I am happy with the size. An elf being tall is fine for me. Feels amazing when a company does a favourite character well.

Hah, they are nothing special, no details or anything just the sculpted plastic to indicate them, it's still more than you'd expect of a figure with a leather corset. I assume the Morna figure that is the basis for the body made more sense having them as that was a blank buck, Sylvanas isn't really designed to be stripped, she has armour scultped legs etc.

She looks awesome Anon, glad you finally got her in hand. I was never much for WoW, but I always did like Sylvanas and have been quasi tempted to grab her. Hearing she came out great makes even more tempting.

How much of that gear actually comes off though? A lot of it looks like it's sculpted on as her limbs are way too thin to be wearing removable armor. The Oak Town elves have cast off gear and their armor is noticeably bulky to accommodate that trait.

Well it didn't snap on me right out of the box, and I can't say I've heard of many people having broken ones...but I didn't really handle it all that much after the initial unboxing of it. It feels kinda flimsy and cheap, but the joints held up well enough and it wasn't the worst skeleton I've ever messed with. But there are very much better options out there.

It is and he's pretty junk. He looks great and has some nice gear, but he's super stiff and his joints have almost no range. It's not just that he has single hinges in his elbows and knees, it's that his sculpt doesn't *let* his joints actually bend that far. He also has tiny awkward feet so he can be hard to stand, and his hands are so stiff while his weapons are stupid thick that it can actually be annoying to gear him up. Also, three skull headsculpts and not one with a moving jaw. If you can find him cheap, he's a good background grunt, but I regret paying full price for him, regardless of how actually cool he looks.

Thanks anon. Yeah she isn't like Morna or the Oaktown ones, they made the decision to sculpt most of it to achieve the likeness, they mentioned that earlier when she went up for order. She comes apart however, so her arms come off, her upper torso is kind of like a softish plastic a bit like maximum hulk and sort of a sheathe over a spine, hard to describe. Her shoulder pads, cloak, I think her bracers and her belt can come off, but she isn't a blank figure.

Damn, that's a shame. I could handle single jointed limbs, but I hate when the sculpt interferes to the point that even they don't have the range to move properly. Still, at least it isn't a QC disaster like the Power Rangers Goldar I asked another anon about. I'll put it in the maybe pile. If it goes even cheaper in a daily deal I might grab it.

This is the most childishly giddy I have been for a figure I think. After a day of messing around with her, my only real negative is that her ankles don't rock as much as I want and that's about it. I am so content, that I have been reflecting a bit and it has really made me appreciate my inital intent I had a while back of almost exclusively getting my dream list figures. I fell off the wagon a while back and have picked up a few things that weren't on it and getting a near perfect rendition of one of my list toppers has reminded me how much better it feels. I already have Tyrande ordered, will be instantly going for Maiev when she pops up and I am praying to the cosmos for a Kerrigan by them. Anyway, sorry for the diary entry.

I need to get/make some cool terrain and buy one of those lighting block things.

In other news, I know one of you is also a Berserk figure fan and I saw this earlier which looks pretty interesting. "Poor Hero" by some guys called Skull Toyz if anyone knows anything about them.

I bought the first release of basic Skeletons with Pumpkin heads. They're pretty good. They're very basic but have a lot of different parts.

I've been a Berserk Fan since before even watching the original anime. I actually found some of those old Art of War figures in a LCS back when I was in high school, and finding articulated figures in medieval armor of any kind was impossible back in the 90s. To this day they're probably the best Berserk figures I've ever had...and in all honestly they weren't even that good.

That figure looks neat though, but I'm not feeling how skinny his is, and the hands on the sword model kind of have me worried. Plus I prefer the Black Swordsman look over the Berserker armor.

I do have Brotoys 1/12 Black Swordman on pre-order from 5ktoys though. Supposedly Brotoys makes some solid figures, and their Black Swordsman just looks really nice. I've tried the Figma and Figuarts versions, but they both have way too many issues to really be fun to mess with, but the Brotoys one seems like it has a good mix of articulation and details to put both of em to shame.

Decided to do a little combat sequence, hope you guys don't mind.

Yeah he does look good, I am personally going to hold out for, hopefully, a Figuarts version of the classic Black Swordsman. The Guts I am posting here I really like, so I'm hoping they repeat this level again and that will suit me. Thought I'd share with you that Skull Toyz one anyway, let's hope it turns out nicely.

There are a few of us. Never heard of Skull Toyz, but I'm already mad that it's fucking Berserker Armor again. Actually, let Berk Armor be their practice run so that they don't fuck up Lost Children and Conviction armor Guts. Those are still my most wanted Guts figures.

So between this thread already autosaging and Legionscon happening this weekend, even though this thread barely has any posts I decided to start a new one because the autosage system is awful and I hate it.

Anyway, new thread.
