I don't know how to 3D model but even if I printed someone else's design, I don't think it's worth it. First of all, I don't think there are that many actually good looking figure files, or at least figures I'd be interested in, out there at a price I'd be willing to pay. But if I did decide to print something, it's gonna be so many small parts that will be annoying to assemble or reprint if/when they break. If I do manage to put the whole thing together, it's just going to be a single color so I would have to paint it. But if I paint it, I can't articulate it without the paint rubbing off. So basically 3D printed figures are a meme and it is just a lot of time and effort to make a disappointing piece of shit. At least if it was something I sculpted myself, I might feel some satisfaction/pride in completing it but I would have to learn 3D modeling first.

The reason why recent snail shell figs have 'stubby arms' is because people complained about Victoria's 'long arms' when she's a short figure, resulting with Snail shell overcompensating to the rest of their figures. The real mistake with Victoria is not that her arms are long, it's that her torso is way too short. Thanks to the other anon showing her overly short torso.

Older snail shell figs have correct length arms. Seems Snail Shell finally realized their mistake.

my quin lee chun lee is here! She is super fun to pose as expected from a third party not-AY and was kinda surprised to see the nipples brushed a little pink, I thought they would just be molded not painted. I guess mine was from later batches as she came with 4 extra shoulder joints...which are useless to me because as a plot twist my Chun Lee torso has loose sockets and the arms just fall of yay.
I have tried and tried to recreate the pop from inserting them into the nude torso but it just wont happen, they go all the way inside the socket without a satisfying pop to keep them inside. I also had to lube up her thigh joints, they are simple pegs.
I was checking out if it was possible to buy the chun lee accessories alone to try and get a torso with good sockets but I dont think it is a thing :(

I hope to one day mod my bodies for them to be longer and their feet to be a smidge bigger too.

The bikini figma Darkness has kind of weirdly big feet depending on the head you use but it makes posing her so much easier. A little goes a long way in shoe size for figures.

I also have a bit of a pet peeve for bare feet being made so rounded it is impossible to balance even when they have a good proportionate size. But I get accurate curvy feet is a sell factor for some.
I just wish figures then atleast also got a more stylized/flattened option for actually standing too.

My figures are printed in nylon, their joints never break. It took time to get the tolerances right but they work once you print from sites that do 3D printed SLS nylon. Also, shortstack-anon has good experience printing his own joints in resin that is quite durable, some of them even being my own joints he’s bought off Cults3D. Pic unrelated.

i tried to just use a brush with dabbed in silicone oil and hope capillary action would do its work but nope, removing the peg (just pull it out) showed just how thick the leg sculpt is and on top of that, the peg and socket are a separate piece inserted into the leg sculpt so capillary action alone will never reach the peg that you need to lube or sand.

its not about being loose, its just that it wont stay inside the socket. plus if I mess with the thickness of the ball joint wit will mess up how it fits in the nude shoulder. I've been "fixing it" with super glue and tissue paper, thickening the border of the socket so it can hug the ball joint in place. lets see how long it will last. at the end of the day its an issue with my chun li torso, the socket is too exposed when compared to the nude torso tat has the soft material its casted on hugging it.

Some tips if you buy this kit. DO NOT use the resin hip joints. Had a bitch of a time getting the broken balls out of the sockets. The neck piece is very thin, and one of the bandages has very little material keeping it connected, Mine broke. In some light the color dif to the naked eye isn't as obvious as in pictures. Honestly overpriced but still satisfactory if you don't mind putting work into it by painting and sanding.

I finally got my Quinn Lee. The shoulders are weird so I’m scared to move them since the balls seem pretty tight. But mine did come with spare shoulder pegs. This, black plastic is the cheapest, easiest shit to get. Not sure what the reasoning behind that decision was.

Remember that since Leoni's gun is indeed a little plamo build and pre-painting the whole fucking runner is pointless because of the nubs connecting the pieces to the sprue (that you scrape to smooth out) and mold lines (that you scrape that smooth out).

Quality wise, the figure is fine - the joints are smooth, the posability lives up to the promo shots.
The problem is the price and lack of accessories in the box. For 16.500 yen plus shipping plus tip you get ~only~ 3 sets of hands, 3-4 face plates (not counting either lisbeth's of this figure's gimmick parts or the stand), absolute lack of seam welds and on top of all that Second Axe committing to the FOMO production process which will mean that the price will stupidly rise up.

Try checking booth or anywhere really for 5mm doll eyes,ドールアイ5mm. As for switching them out, you just use something soft like a cotton swab to push the eye out from the front of the faceplate, and then just pop in a new one. They should be the same size as your original ones, so it wont hurt the plastic.

After a few days, so maybe a few hours of messing with them they showed cracks and peels/flaking started after a week.

That's probably the difference, I bent and twisted them as much as possible to see what their pose range and durability was like, so they endured a lot of abuse in a short amoint of time.
