That's actually reasonable.

>their nearly-2-feet-long pirate ship is $80
When did Playmobil get to be more reasonable than Hasbro and Mattel? They used to be the toys that were always slightly more expensive than regular toys and were for yuppie kids. If that ship were made by Hasbro, they'd sell it through HASLAB for $350 with how big it is.

I wanna say it's always been like that, even though that's probably not true. Hasbro/Mattel /Lego stuff is licensed mostly and that jacks up the price. I've only seen a few licensed Playmobil sets and those are the ones that tend to be more expensive.

You know what I kinda liked Novelmore (even though I only got figures), will miss it

Have you priced Transformers and GI Joe lately? Even their proprietary brands have gotten expensive.

The only Playmobil toys that interested me were the little crusaders. Do they make a pack of them?

Knight guy army builders? Probably.

this shit is way to kiddy for me, the only adult I've ever known to collect it is Mick from RetardBlasting

Lost your sense of wonder and imagination, huh? Think you need a "reason"? That must suck.

This looks very similar to 71419 with slightly more pieces, but the octopus is unpainted.
Also I knew Barbie and Monster High was announced, but I never expected WWE sets. I guess it's supposed to be Rhea Ripley on the left but to me it looks more like Chyna.

I bought this set on sale while looking for some Playmobil jr stuff for a gift, I forgot how nice Playmobil stuff is for the price

Buying toys for kids has completely broken my value perception of my own collection. How can I justify some shitty import when I can buy a giant t rex that eats other figures and rumbles for half of the price

Hey, do Playmobil accessories scale with 1/12 stuff?
Anonymous No.11614737 [Report]

They scale better with figures between 3.75' and 5.5' in my experience. Vintage secret wars and tmnt figures for example scale PERFECTLY with all things playmobil.

I've been picking up on all this lately myself. I dont understand what's keeping playmobil back. Their output is perfectly priced across the board, even rarer or more desirable items only go up about 20 to 60 dollars in value and those are typically just the larger sets. Playmobil should have the world by the balls right now and they're just shuffling along.

I talked to a woman recently who said her kids don't like toys, and they are like 4 and 8. They like tablets, video games, and playing outside/sports. Couple this with lower birth rates, and the market for children's toys is shrinking. These companies have to price more competitively, and they are probably cutting production corners nowadays.
